  1. For what it's worth, I ordered a stock PD canopy on Tuesday, and it was at my door step on Thursday. Regular shipping. Got two phone calls FROM them communicating both the order confirmation and shipping information/status. PD has the best customer service in the industry. Hands down.
  2. Hey folks. Trying to track down a manual for a Juki LK-982 bartack machine. I know I can purchase one, but was hoping a generous fellow rigglet would be willing to email me a copy, if they had it. Thanks, and blue ones... -Eddie
  3. Question for experienced riggers, or manufacturers for that matter.... I'm wondering if there are sewing machine attachments (double needle machine) that create a proper french felled seam with the two rows of stitches going through all 4 layers of fabric. Does anybody know if these exist? My quick Google search didn't turn up very helpful results. I've found attachments that do french seams but one of the rows of stitches only goes through 2 layers of fabric. Maybe they're called something else to the general sewing industry? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Blue ones...
  4. You can learn alot about high performance approaches on your Sabre2. Still a long(er) recovery arc and much more forgiving if you have to abort, etc. But I like my Katana, more than the Crossfire or Mamba. Your mileage may vary....
  5. Bingo. Why not go with an I3 and have the bigger reserve? Plus, like was said earlier, the I2 may not fit any cross-braced canopy larger than a 96(ish).
  6. If purple people with horns are coming here illegally from Purplepeoplewithhornville and are causing a multitude of problems (the illegal ones, not the legal ones), and a purple person with horns is pulled over or stopped for a good reason (DUI, speeding, driving with no lights, disorderly conduct, etc.) , then the law enforcement officer should have every right to check the legal status of that person. Call it racial profiling if you want, but unless we check for the problem, than we can't solve the problem. When I was in Spain, I was checked twice for my papers. That is NOT harassment! When I was in France, I was taken aside and questioned and my ID was checked by two officers. GOOD FOR THOSE OFFICERS! They had every right to do what they did if they had ANY reason to think that I should not have been there, even though I was just minding my own business and did not do anything illegal. They had no reason to question me, aside from just a hunch. THAT'S THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!! It protects their country. Even under the Arizona laws, officers have less authority to question Latinos then those officers did in France. They were absolutely polite and professional, by the way. I'm all for EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the US having to show proof of immigration/citizenship status at every interaction with local/state/federal authorities. "Interaction" in this sense being as described by a post earlier, i.e. being pulled over for speeding, checking in to a federal building, coming in and out of the country, etc.
  7. I've seen Tony Hathaway make a Spectre look like a Katana...
  8. Jason, forget about her... Oh yeah...you still owe me 20 bucks... lol...
  9. I work up at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Al. I tested some of the turbo pump inlet valves that flew on STS-124. Its cool to see flight hardware that you touched and tested fly in space....
  10. I'm a fairly new at tandems but from the canopies I've jumped, I really prefer the A2. The toggle pressure is light and the flair is really nice. Not to say that I don't like other models but if given the choice, I'd choose to jump the A2.
  11. Does anybody have any info as to what the differences are between the cordura bootie and the cordura total blast on the Synchro RW suit from Parasport Italia? Thanks.

  13. dude, trust me. im in my senior year of college and have survived off of personal student loans. they are not like a stafford loan which goes straight to the school, they are more like a V.A. loan, where they send you a check in the mail. they are out there...just google personal student loans and voila... good luck
  14. i looked in to it...you are right. i stand corrected.
  15. im a mississippi state fan, but being raised in alabama i also have a thing for the crimson tide, but i will pull for any SEC team that plays in the championship. i hate OSU. i would love to see them fall to 0-9 vs. SEC teams in bowl games. just goes to show how strong the SEC is....but maybe im a little biased...
