  1. Not to change the subject, but I am reminded a couple of times on the video links that when I see the "old" New York skyline, I think back to how many times it was so easily recognized before being changed so drastically. Even the untrained eye knew that if a big city were shown on the television before that is was Manhattan because of the towers - sometimes on television even today when a skyline is shown, I have to think for a second where it is, especially if it is New York. Always reminded when "Friends" reruns come on. Okay, back to you...and sorry for being her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1epYCW73qCw . Roll Tide Roll
  2. Out of all the True Life shows MTV has played in numerous repeats, is it just coincidence that I cannot catch the one where they profiled adrenaline junkies? It seems like they never played it after the initial episode, and I can find nothing on it. Roll Tide Roll
  3. She was eye candy, that's for sure. Hey Billy, you know she lives in Panama City? Roll Tide Roll
  4. Agnetha. "Frida's" solo work wasn't too bad though, remember this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz5DkTF2RW8 If you like ABBA, check out "Muriel's Wedding" with Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths. I heard once that at one time, ABBA was Sweden's most profitable export. Roll Tide Roll
  5. I can never get tired of ABBA. Had total crushes on the Go-Go's, Madonna, that girl who played Blair Warner on "The Facts of Life," my secret crush was Wendy O'Williams, but that never would have worked, with her always breakin' my stuff. Olivia Newton-John and Wonder Woman Lynda Carter. Oh, and her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbHexmNvwYY Dale Bozzio And the thing is, most of them were like my parents' ages atthe time (or older). 6. I had sent a note asking that if my letter were to be edited for brevity, that I be allowed to resubmit under whatever character length they required rather than have someone else cut. I have to thank them for the complete texts we submitted, but as I stated earlier, I'm afraid that it is being used more as a snobby sounding slam by the publisher against the Redneck Games rather than for its intended purpose. I anxiously look for the responses. I just hate it that there are probably a lot of people over there who will be seriously insulted at my specific statements - deserved, but nevertheless quite pointed and callous, and not the true intended target. 7. Anyone know if a certain region of the U.S. is more affected by meningitis? I tried to search it, but I must not be wording correctly for the statistics by region or area. Roll Tide Roll
  8. I hope you do, and maybe one day you will see the "righteous indignation" on here is founded in facts and personal experience, and not "sour grapes" or jealousy as you have probably been fed, as have so many before you in that little shop of horrors over there. Roll Tide Roll
  9. Hey, hey, hey, I thought we were filing that under "I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing..." like back in the fraternity house?!?! Roll Tide Roll
  10. And Ben and Cary get do "hard time" in one of GA's finest tax payer hotels & DAILY rectial exams from some big fat fuck redneck named BUBBA! Even BUBBA has his standards. Roll Tide Roll
  11. Hey, my man, many others paid the price for your fun day. Cross the railroad tracks over there before you get big-proud-circle-the-wagon-itis and burn your naive dumb bridges too soon. A simple google search will educate you immensely. Still, from my view, you oughta consider that whole 7:30 EST jump from 11.5 in the ATL because of low fuel (and consult your SIM/FAR/AIM) before you get the big head about giving your advice here - that is, if your goal is to innocently portray knowing what you are talking about. Somehow, your assertions shed light on your ulterior motive, or either you are just horny for attention from your co-workers. By the way, if you'll actually do your research, THESE guys didn't dump USPA for any infraction...it's quite the opposite. Note their indignant lawsuit-in-reply. Hater who keeps hating (if that's your term for reality - though "hate" is such a strong word.) Roll Tide Roll
  12. Oh my gosh...I've never been overwhelmed personally by a thread on this forum until now. Back a couple of years ago, Erica Van Zuidam was overtaken with this infection from her dorm in the U of Illinois. Smart, gorgeous, blond & blue, typical all-American girl from the Midwest. I remember the day when her parents had to decide whether or not to keep the life support going, and they wouldn't give up. Sometime later, she woke without limbs below the ankles or the forearms. This beautiful and gorgeous girl has not seen me in a few years (to my discredit), but her drive to keep on being a whole human without limitations completely exhausts me! I couldn't do it. She is My American Idol. Roll Tide Roll
  13. I should clarify that the Honda relocating comment is not a paraphrasing of an official or unofficial statement by the company - only more evidence to the question of what good would the unionization of the company do to benefit all involved. I don't actually think the relocating will even be an issue since I don't believe that the plant will be unionized anyway. I agree fully with lawrocket's union assessment - today, with our instant information, it's much harder to keep things under the table and out of the public eye - if people in one plant get royally screwed, the nation knows about it instantly, and it reflects on them, so the union is for the most part obsolete. At the same time, I have mixed feeling when I see close friends (union members) who worked for airlines for decades either laid off, or had their pay cut significantly after 9/11, and their pensions reduced to nothing. That by itself is no airline executive's fault, but the fact that so many of those same executives ended up with millions of dollars in bonuses, stock options, and kept their Golden Parachutes throughout the "cost-cutting," all the while our government gave them billions of dollars of our money. Almost makes me as angry as looking at the health care and retirement plans of our Congressmen and Senators for all their...hard work. (Note: not a statement advocating socializing health care in the U.S.) Roll Tide Roll
  14. Oy. I think we're gonna need a bigger boat... Roll Tide Roll
  15. UAW is pushing hard to get into the Honda and Mercedes-Benz plants here in Alabama. I am not directly involved, but I live near the Honda plant, and many employees are members of the gym I work for. They don't understand the audacity of what UAW thinks they can do for them (other than profit themselves) - average wage $53,000 a year, Honda has never "laid off" an employee in its history, excellent benefits, etc. I also understand that the Honda plant has done so well here that if they chose, they could close the place completely and not lose any money by relocating. 16. Downtown? Definitely go to P.J. Clarke's, and have the clam chowder. Also, have a meal or just a drink at the restaurant in the top of the John Hancock building - you get the view, and will pay the same to enter the observation deck a floor above (unless something has changed now). 17. Ahhh, the sunset load. I hope the time of day had more factor in your early exit than the fact that the plane was so low on fuel. Where did you do the jump? Are you going to begin to get certified soon? Surely you can do it at a discounted price. Roll Tide Roll
  18. Um, I just read my last post, and I don't know where the second part of it came from! I read it and was like "What?" So that's what I get for having multiple screens up at the same time as a bottle of JD. Can a kind moderator delete that now, or is it too late? >>>Not yours, Billy! "...I just read my last post..."
  19. cardwell2002, Any more questions? Your curiosity has suddenly gone silent...or has the overflow of information here been to your satisfaction regarding your initial concerns? Roll Tide Roll
  20. Down at Mistress Dita's, the "board" is what I get in "the room" when I've been bad...or good, either one, as long as the AmEx charge clears. Roll Tide Roll
  21. ...errr, after that website we were looking at for the annual event in Dublin (oh, Mr. Newspaperman, I'm sorry, EAST Dublin), one jolly Englishman cannot say we have the monopoly in that area, neither on the rednecks nor on the ugly women. Those pictures looked like Peanut was one of those Gremlins, and somebody tossed him into Lake Lanier - they just keep comin'! Roll Tide Roll
  22. that far north it pretty much counts as Tennessee.. one of the hottest chicks i've ever met was born and raised in Mentone (well at least until we saved her) By that reasoning, the Farm is far enough West to count as being here in Alabama! Roll Tide Roll
  23. ...and for information on the specifics of the other part of your original question, ask around at work - someone there may have some input. Roll Tide Roll

    Cats-Be-Gone!

The turtle lives in some guy's back yard in South Africa. I thought at first it was just attracted to cats, or hated them and their pee smell, since he's so close to the ground. Apparently he chases people too. Roll Tide Roll
  25. Not a movie, but I cry every time I see Dave Chappelle's "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Story." It's the stickiest of the Icky. I liked Cannonball Run I & II also. The Best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is good as well. Roll Tide Roll
