Just curious, do you think we put less emphasis on "finding love" as we age? Now that I am older, finding love is less important. It would be nice if it happened, but I am in no rush to make it happen. As Nataly pointed out it is better to be happy within yourself. I think it all depends on how old you are now, & at the time you decide you no longer want to be without a life long companion. Obviously, all guys like arm candy to present; as well as, a personal salute & conquest to male companions. In his eyes, She must be a Betty Crocker in the kitchen & a loyal to him only, whore in the bedroom. Woman of a certain age these days just seem to be looking for a serious relationship; specifically marriage, for the same comparible reasoning. They want financial security, a 1+ct. on her finger, to be a Mrs., in competiton to her gal pals. It's no secret male & female natural encounters are for procreation. Whether having children is a mutual bond, or not part of the equation...the only justifiable reason for developing a serious relationship is companionship & compatibilty. If only a certain visual or physical will do, why waste the time considering it ? Seriously, if you can't get beyond the appearance of a potential prospective, or involvement in an already commited relationship...why waste each others time. If the only attraction is physical & sexual...just put on a condom & buy a whore ! It'll be cheaper in the long run if you fear 'she' may not continue to live up to your physical requirements. On the other hand, if she is also only attracted to the physical, sexual appeal of her man & his bank account...she may get disappointed as you age, or the economy continues to dwindle ! If either in a relationship let's themselves go, out of 'comfort'; however knowing, how physical desireness was a foundation in the beginning & a mainstay of continuing your involvement, I'd say he or she doesn't give a shit enough to work at it ! Laziness, & complacency typically come from the comfort & security of knowing...ultimately, " it's cheaper to keep her" ! I'd say continue the dating circuit til you know what & who you want, for how long, & for how much ! I will tell you this...if she's too condescending & agreeable during the dating...run like hell ! She's already arming herself for the mandated changes she'll require of you, later on ! My suggestion to any gal...let him have his toys, & play time with his boys...or he'll definitely be taking his balls somewhere else to play ! It's bad enough a Packer has to bust ass keeping tandem loads running back to back; without a TI having to wait for a rig, dripping wet from 100 degree hangars, the ongoing screams of a just concluded tandem, dogs running through the packing floor, kids chasing a ball through the lines & the multitude of spectators trying to get a photo...add in some dumbass running through to greet their buddy that just landed, just as I'm running stows & trips over the lines Then you get the concerned parent asking questions like: " how long does it take to pack one of these, how many mistakes ( mals) have you packed, where did you learn how to do this, how long have you been doing this, or how many parachutes have you packed ?" Now factor in the clueless nitwit that wants to see what the orange thingy will do if it's pulled, on a rig hanging on the rack, or the entourage of family & friends that set up lawn chairs circumfacing the packing floor, or the jumper that has the kid for the weekend & figures the Packer makes for a great babysitter; while cleaning up smooched skittles, bubble gum, chips, & has to keep picking up the Juicy Juice box right where I need to lay down the canopy ! The worst is a student; who wants to learn to pack to get his/her A & figures NOW is a good time to get a practice lesson, by assisting me when they attempt to run the lines, or help clear the cells...UGH Stay off my damn pack ** Did I mention I love my job, & I can't wait for jump season to get under way... My spiritual confirmation of my God was made when the 1st words to my son & daughter in law; from my 3 year old grandson, after being pronounced clinically dead, revived, on total life support & upon waking from a 13 day coma..."Don't cry Mommy, God made me all better...he told me when I was sleeping " I no longer need proof or confirmation...my greatest prayer was answered, my God was validated, despite what the dr's prepared us for !
