  1. Give it some time/ a wife/ 3 kids and we will see how that metabolism works for you Been 160 to 165 lbs since my 20's. Have had two wives, 3 kids and 5 grandkids. I am still 165. The only time I put weight on is when I want to. Most women hate that I can eat anything I want, as much as I want and never have to worry about extra lbs. "I'm not lost. 2. I am curious why one would want both an RSL and a Skyhook. I thought those two were essientially the same thing. I understand the RSL pulls the reservere pin and a Skyhook pulls the pin and extracts the reserve pc. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  3. Wow. Just got into this show. Watched some previous episodes on the web then caught it on TV last night. You are right, this is a really good show. Seems to have some things not quite right, like the way they have members showing defference to Gemma, which would never happen in a real MC club, but overall, very good plot. Will for sure be watching this one. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  4. When I changed mine to stu mode, it hasn't missed a jump since... "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  5. Well, he might sell a suit or two to some other birds who will be out there that weekend, but not ready for the event, yet.
  6. This is a pretty good article about early research into higher altitude flight in the WWII era. Sorry if this has been posted before, I did a search and found nothing. My favorite line from the article: "Sporting his own custom oxygen mask, Major dog-paddled all the way down and landed safely, witnesses said. " Would have loved to see that, the mental image I get is funny as hell. Major the skydiving dog Edit to add quote and comments. "I'm not lost. 7. LOL. I love this thread. I have seen enough jumps of that type to qualify some of the most prolific posters to this thread for D licenses. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  8. But they are if he gets elected! If the thought of Obama as President and Pelosi as speaker doesn't scare the hell out of you I don't know what will. Obama as President, Pelosi as Speaker, and Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader...That's what scares the hell out of me... "I'm not lost. 9. Here is a candidate that really represents change! McKinney for President "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  10. I agree that neither have consistently done "what is right". Obama says, "Vote for me for change." The only change he will really bring is his color and his inexperience. As far as the bridge, do you really think there is any political leader that would give the money back? She did nothing to get the 'pork' for AK. I noticed that all three of the senators in this race voted for the bailout. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  11. I couldn't agree more with you. All the more reason to vote for the GOP ticket. Please see attached. Deny it all you want, but the two on the GOP ticket are the only ones that have actually demonstrated that they BOTH will do what is right, not simply follow the party line. BO and JB have NEVER went against the party line. You want status quo, put them in office. You want REAL change, get maverick McCain in. "I'm not lost. 13. This poor guy is ordered by a bankrupcy judge to pay back a criminal that stole from him as well as pay the criminal's legal fees as part of his BK judgement. Simply crazy... Story here "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  14. What makes you think ANY of them are 'my boy'? Hey, at least I can spell a three letter word. R or D, does not matter. O or M, again, really does not matter. They will both fuck things up, it is just a matter of which one will do the least damage... "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  15. Do you seriously think it is just R's? Come on, you are right, we do know who fucked it up, it was the elected lawmakers, supposedly representing us, from both sides. The real sad thing about this election is the only real choices are not who will do damage, but who will do the least. "I'm not lost. 16. This is a show call "The Works". I already have it setup on DVR...
  17. Well, obviously, we all are, to some degree or another. With the current size, and the way things are going, our children and grandchildren will too. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  18. Biden has a fix for all of our economic woes. The plan is for Americans to be patriotic and pay more taxes. This is his plan Edited to fix link... "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  19. I was on a 100th 4 way with a guy without his A yet last Saturday. BTW, congrats on the 100 John! "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  20. Is this supposed to actually happen, or did it get pushed back again? "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  21. This is the most fun I have had skydiving. Ever since jump 10 or so when I started feeling comfortable enough to think of other things besides what was on my list to do, I had the thought of dropping something from canopy. This is will be a fun event for anyone that can make it. Desert Skydiving Center in Buckeye, AZ. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley

  23. How did this happen? I have a seat belt on until 1000ft. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  24. Talk about a high-end jumpsuit, this one was $300,000.00! "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  25. My first skydive was a tandem. I did it at Eloy. I went with my GF's best friend and her husband, when asked by my GF. She knew what my answer would be before even asking. Anyhow, my TM was late getting me geared up. He said he didn't know they had him scheduled to work and he was a little rushed getting me ready. Even so, he did give me an altimeter, he took the time to answer all of my questions and ask my why I was doing this and if this was my first jump. I told him that I was doing this because it was 'on my list'. I had no thoughts of doing it again. Even with my reply, he expained the dive flow, how long we would be in freefall, when I should pull th ripcord and what to expect when I did. He expained the basic working of the canopy, how it was controled, and asked if I felt like flying it. He also asked if I wanted to do some spins. The point I am trying to make here is, even though he was running late, he took the time to get me interested, and invested in the jump. Due to my having a part in saving my life, pulling the ripcord, and being able to make some turns under canopy, my jump was not a carnival ride, I OWNED IT! Once down, I could think of nothing but doing it again. I had to wait a few minutes for the video and stills and this gave me a chance to observe some of the fun jumpers, packing, landing gearing up and such. This is when I decided to take up the sport. I know there are many that would not call me a skydiver, I am not sure I really think of myself as a skydiver. I am just a guy that skydives. Bottom line here for me is that I would never have gotten involved with the sport had it not been for the chance to do a tandem. Thanks Jason, that jump changed my life! "I'm not lost.
