  1. I've searched around for this and have not found anything. Maybe somebody can point me in the right direction. I hold a CASA PPL, and want to switch over to FAA PPL (Yes, I'm American). Is anybody familiar with the process for this? Thanks!
  2. Dayum! When I was new into skydiving (and going through the phase where you try to get whuffo friends into it)... the one thing the whuffos who have done the bungee would go into detail what it was like. I'm like... yeah-huh... Mmmkay. Bungee gives me the heebie jeebies. I will never do it in my life. I'm sorry I'm skeered! I've done 17 bungees, it gets pretty boring after about 4 or 5. Its lame because its so very limited. Hmm, lets see, should I go forwards, or go backwards this time. Both jumps have a completely different experience, but again, once you've done them, thats it. Still, if while traveling there is a nice bungee site, I'll go for it. I want to do the Golden Eye jump off the dam in Sweden.
  3. harleys are fun, aren't they? But... I wasn't talking about the... Oh... Um... Right... The motorcycle... Wanna take me for another ride? I can be there in about 20 hours. Yeah, I've seen the sheets.
  4. Every guy wants one of these Where did you get that? I've been trying to find one of those for years!
  5. I have a few questions. Is this event confirmed? Have the Petronas Tower been jumped at any of the previous events? What is the atmosphere like for the spectators? Thanks!

    Have you seen it?

    These horses get down.
  9. Thats one big hedge trimmer. The passengers have even bigger balls.
  10. Pretty cool when they put the camera on there, and transferred the image. Now only if they can put this on Sony's electric paper
  11. Yep, me too. Hmmm...maybe all the people that disappear in the Bermuda Triangle end up in Perth?
  12. Awesome! If you can get them to turn, maybe you can get them to flare at the end.
  13. Beautiful. What camera? What lens?
  14. "Cause there's a dead man on the other end of this fuckin' line."
  15. I've had a lot of problems with AFF 3. I've done it 3 times, and still have not passed. I finally got myself some tunnel time booked in at Skydive Perris. I highly recommend getting a coach in the tunnel too. I did 30 minutes in the tunnel with Perris Fury coach, Chris Farina. You can see some of it here: http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=5724 Your skills with improve 10 or 20 fold. What I accomplished with 30 minutes in the tunnel, would not have compared to what I would have accomplished with 30 skydives. You learn a lot faster, and do not have the stress of worrying about business end of the dive. I'd recommend at least 1/2 hour, or more if you can. Have fun in the tunnel, its a blast!
  16. I'd be very cautious about downloading and installing this software. I downloaded the demo about 3 days ago. I actually downloaded it about 3 times because it would not install. It just kept freezing my computer when trying to unzip. Finally after several attempts it began to install. I left the room for only a moment when I heard my computer shut down. When I turned it on again I had lots of short vertical lines on my boot screen. Now when I try to log onto windows after the XP logo disappears the computer just hangs up, and freezes. I can now only log on with SAFE MODE. I've been trying for 2 or 3 days now to fix the problem, but have no idea what it has done. On a side note, I have no spyware/maleware viruses or anything like that and maintain my comp very well. This demo really screwed up my computer.
  17. My wife opened up a can of whoop as today, and the beet root juice that splashed out looks a little like Oz.
  18. Great. Thanks for the info, was exactly what I was looking for. Cheers.
  19. I was originally going to do some tunnel time at Skydive Perris, but due to some a possible change of plans was looking at possibly doing the tunnel time at Skydive Arizona instead. Would it really matter at this early stage? Any tunnel particularly better? I read somewhere that the Skydive Arizona tunnel is better for the taller people. I'm 6'4" so is that going to be a huge difference as opposed to Perris? Any feedback from people who have done either, or both I'd love to hear from. Thanks!
