  1. Things you can get away with saying at Thanksgiving 1. Talk about a huge breast! 2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist. 3. Hey, It's Cool Whip time! 4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst! 5. Whew, that's one terrific spread! 6 . I think I'm in the mood for a little dark meat. 7. Are you ready for seconds yet? 8. It's a little dry, do you still want to eat it? 9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some. 10. Don't play with your meat. 11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in. 12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at one time? 13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once! 14. You still have a little bit dripping on your chin. 15. How long does it take after you stick it in? 16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up. 17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that! 18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen! 19. How long do I beat it before it's ready?
  2. When they used to throw virgins in volcanos, you were almost guaranteed a little bit. "Hey, baby, going to the sacrifice Saturday night?" "Yeah" "I hear you're a virgin. How'd ya like to be exempt?" now that was a good one. I take it we are now in better spirits?
  3. Hmmm....in Georgia....We call it a Storm. Hmmm...In Houston...We have names for our storms!
  4. That was in response to John supporting you! just in Texas, if it's cold , we don't differenciate east and west. If it comes from the west though we call it a Pacific front because they're not cold.
  5. A big Noreaster is on its way Ok, I don't know why but this is something that has always bugged me. Noreaster Is it really THAT hard to say Northeastern??? In Texas it's just called a Norther not a Northern and a real cold one is a Blue Norther my .02

  11. It takes time to trust everything that you are told to trust, like your instincts. Trust that looking way ahead ISthe correct procedure and it will become second nature to you, trust me. Beautiful pic. by the way! C 1035
  12. Then flare when you would impact the high ground ahead! C 1035
  13. Welcome to the fray! Looking at the pic. it looks like you were in a track for that practice pull. Were they giving you the legs out signal. Again welcome, C 1035
  14. I've done other stupid things like misrouted a chest strap and found out in freefall (again...thank God for my jumpmaster - Raven). Sorry for the spankin, but the jumpmaster should have been shot for letting you on the plane with the bad rout! Just remember to keep your wits about you, check your gear, make sure everything's routed correctly, ask for a gear check, and relax....have fun. You'll learn to stand up your landings just like I will in time. The best sky divers didn't learn it all in one jump, and I have to remember just like all new jumpers, it takes time, practice, and determination to do good in the sport. And...the best thing about taking up this sport...is the wonderful people that have more experience than me that are willing to teach me how to get better. Keep looking way in front of you instead of down and you will have a lot better idea of when to flare! Welcome to the fray! Bluz, C 1035
  15. My suggestion; get them Javelin Odysseys, the most comfortable rig and you'll save a few bucks too!

  19. It seems to be about right although my Xaos was one of the first made. It has the Dyneema lines on it, not Hma. I don't know if there were any other mods done after mine was made. C 1035
  20. I couldn't get this to open completely. Are the folds over the canopy with the roll still on the ground or is the canopy flipped over like a psycho pack? I appreciate the input. C 1035
  21. Andy, This weekend a very experienced jumper on a Stiletto 120 loaded at maybe 1.2-1 had her canopy collapse twice from about 150'. She was directly over me and there were several loud KUHWHACK! sounds. the wind was bouncing between 17-23mph and turbulent! I watched the end cells touch below 50'and thought she was fixin to get real broken up or killed. I was in the same wind on my Xaos loaded at 2.2-1 coming in on front risers and had no problems what so ever! I have also watched students on Sabers loaded very lightly seeming to breath and that scares me to death! C 1035
  22. That's quicker than any Cessna I've been in, I'm impressed! But it's still tough doing 20 ways out of 1 Cessna.
