    nope I had open. My surgeon told me open had a less chance of reoccurence, and since I snowboard and am about to start jumping I should go with open. the recovery time is longer, that's the only thing that sucks

    Finally got my Hernia repaired! Hell yeah! now I just have to heal and AFF here I come!
  3. Good for you bro! As anyone will tell you, just be prepared to be hooked! I have done 2 tandems and will start AFF soon. Don't be suprised if you find yourself in the same boat! Peace

  6. whats up! I'm up here in Vail. I'm going to start my AFF in April hopefully. I'm not to sure when the tunnel opens and I want that intergrated with my training!
  7. well you guys definitely have a point. I'm sure alitimeters can and do fail. plus like you said, it just makes you a better skydiver.
  8. Damn I look on the skyhook website and it looks like everyone should have one of these things. Do alot of you use them? Something I should get on my first rig? Any bad experiences with them?

  15. I am a newbie and I will definitly be going to the tunnel in Colorado along with AFF training It just makes sense!
  16. myself, when I begin in the spring I will use the wind tunnel in Colorado because even if it's not cheap, it will make me a better and SAFER student/skydiver

  21. They are building a new wind tunnel in Colorado as I'm sure alot of you know. I belive they are going to open it in January. I have done 2 tandems and am ready to proceed in the sport. Does everyone support learning in a wind tunnel before AFF or should I just learn in the sky?? Thanks, Tom from Colorado
