  1. Ahh...A defender of freedom, as this little one gets older, will it have IR targeting capability? This little one will have all kinds of goodies soon!! I should buy a good cage for it though, ya know, so it can`t get loose and take over trhe world or anything.
  2. Bleh. Didn`t make it through the whole article before my stomach started turning. On a side note, looky what followed me home yesterday!!!
  3. I plan to go to my local gun shop and purchase an AK next week-not kidding. Then hopefully one day I can fulfill my fantasy of killing somebody.
  4. Hey, I`m just glad my "equipment" works!
  5. Just found out today and feel like I have to tell the whole world!!! This is going to make it really difficuilt convincing the wife that continuing my skydiving training is a good idea.
  6. Yup a freind of mine got one of these too, he still has the check. The guy is now calling demanding his change.
  7. Yup, I`ve tried just about all of em. Verizon simply works where the others don`t........for me anyhow.
  8. Not really a whuffo question, but a good one anyway. A freind of mine just last night was telling me of a skydiving video he saw. An instructor follows his student out the door, everything goes fine til they both attempt to deploy. The student has a hard pull and cannot get the main out, then tries the reserve but another hard pull. The already deployed instructor sees his student having trouble so he physically removes his rig, flys down to his student, grabs bim and rolls the student over on top of him and bounces. The instructor was a hero for taking the impact and the student walks away.
  9. My first static line jump I forgot to count and forgot to arch. Ok maybe I didnt "forget", probably more like "brain-locked". I kicked and swam because I had the feeling that I was going over backwards, but I really wasn`t. Doing my 5 second count never even entered my mind once I was on the strut, as a matter of fact, I had a little trouble actually letting go of the airplane. Not that I didnt want to, but my brain had trouble convincing my hands that it would be ok I guess. I had line twists on both jumps. I was really worried about them beforehand, but I kind of suprised myself at how quickly I dealt with it. The second jump for me went much better since I knew what to expect. Havent jumped since september due to lack of $$ and convincing my wife that I NEED to get off the static line. She seems to think that I could just do a few static jumps a year and be happy w/that. She is terrified of me going to freefall. Dont sweat those line twists, they arent a big deal with a huge canopy.
  10. I`ll be the oddball here and admit that I did get the stomach dropping feeling pretty bad on both of my static line jumps. I kind of expected it to feel like falling, so maybe thats why I felt it. Didnt matter, I had a BLAST!! Now I just gotta find some $$ so I can keep doing it.
  11. Maybe this makes me out to be scum, but if I even happened to drive past these people protesting at a fallen soldiers funeral, I would pull over and start swinging. If I go to jail, fuck it. No way I could stand for it.
  12. In my FJC we were told to PLF no matter what. I had planned on it but the radio guy said stand it up, so I stood it up. On another note, I hear a lot saying they tell their students over radio to "prepare tp PLF" or "prepare to flare". I realize that my opinion doesnt mean squat, but on my 2nd jump the radio guy yelled "prepare to flare" at about 20 ft. Guess what I heard. "FLARE FLARE". OUCH! That PLF helped though!!. Maybe its not a good idea to use the word "prepare" close to the ground. I think "get ready to flare " would be more appropriate considering you have toggle happy students that are ready to snatch them in a split second.
