  1. That is a very helpfull answer - Sparky - Thanks!
  2. How do you inspect a 15 year old reserve to proof that it is still as good as it was after leaving the factory. What are all the MfG's saying about inspection of an old reserve?...? To repack a reserve 20 year long, does not mean that it would work at the limits at the time you need it!! Would you like to drive 15 year old tires up to 200 kts on you car only by looking to the color and kicking them with one foot? Guido Reusch
  3. ups!! that could become expensive for them!
  4. The SPARK is made by Performance Variable - Germany. It's at Germany/Europe a very popular i/m canopies - very simular to Sabre 1 but with fabric from Galvanor. We have Sparks here with 2000 or more jumps on! The quality is good - no problem! The 150 opens sometimes a littlebit rough (like the sabre) but never unfair! Take it - it's OK
  5. I don't believe it's a kind of "They don't like the vigil" or "they do like it". It's just safety! If something will happen with the vigil-cutter on a RI-Container (see last Vigil-SB), People will not only look to the AAD! RI start to make the approval-Tests for the Argus this month. We will get an answer this summer!
  6. From RI Website: As of this date, Rigging Innovations DOES NOT approve the installation and/or use of the Vigil AAD in any RI product. The manufacturer of the Vigil AAD has taken upon themselves to authorize the installation of the Vigil AAD in any Cypres ready or approved harness and container system. This is in opposition to the FAA and the harness and container manufacturer. In accordance with AC105-2C, the AAD installation must be approved by the FAA as part of the harness and container TSO data package. There are certain technical issues that have been identified and need to be resolved before RI can authorize the use of the Vigil in any RI product.
  7. Hallo Wim, EASA gave to them a testprogram, what PdF is working out at the moment. PdF said that they are ready for a solution (Stearinglines and slider?) Thats what I heard and JPM send out by e-mail Guido Guido Reusch
  8. Hallo Wim, just a Question:" Are YOU (Eli's shop) a certified VIGIL RIGGER?" and "Who else is a certified Vigil RIGGER" doesn't heard about that in Austria/Germany Best regards, Guido Guido Reusch

  11. Sorry Rob, Weckbecker is still alive and sitting in Italy now. He had built the PIT Container (I,II,III, IV, IVs,V) but never a Tandem. The Top Flyer was built by FROHWEIN/GLOSE and GLOSE is dead. If you had ever jumped one of these, it wasn't certified by any ACO in Europa or USA. so I think we better take this out. Isn't there a NEW ZEALAND Tandem? "Hope-Tandem" or so? Guido Reusch
  12. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ??? - Russia Advance - France Atom - Parachutes de France Dual Hawk - Strong, USA Eclipse - Stunts Adventure, USA Gemini - Canadian Aerosports Next - Germany Racer Elite - Jump Shack, USA Sigma - Relative Workshop, USA Top Flyer - Veckbecker, Germany Vector - Relative Workshop, USA ---------------------------- Top Flyer from Weckbecker isn't a Tandem Rig, but Performance Variable will still make the Omega Tandem Guido Reusch
  13. The Techno 240-B Reserve from Parachute de France das been grounded by the EASA for all EASA-Member-states. EMERGENCY AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE AD No : 2006-0105-E - Date: 28. April 2006 Type Approval Holder’s Name : Parachutes de France Type/Model designation(s) : Techno 240-B ETSO Number : DGAC France F.O.095 ATA 25 Equipment – Temporary grounding of reserve parachute Applicability: Techno 240-B, P/N: R 01-240-B – All serial numbers – Reserve Parachute Reason: A slow deployment of the reserve canopy TECHNO 240-B has been determined. It has been determined that the allowable opening altitude loss / opening time is not met. The proposed solution of Parachutes de France Safety Bulletin BSC_06_002, dated 21.04.2006 is not accepted by EASA to provide an equivalent level of safety. As a consequence the unit may not act as a safety device. Effective Date: 28. April 2006 Compliance: Accomplish the following immediately after the effective date of this airworthiness directive: THE USE OF ALL THE Techno 240-B PERSONAL PARACHUTES IS PROHIBITED NOTE: This is an interim AD action and will be amended after compliance with the requirements has been shown. Ref. Publications: none ---------------- Best regards Guido Reusch
  14. It's not a question of Days or Month - it's a question of responsibility! Should be a federation responsible by making one strictly rule regardless what it is - or is the manufactore responsible by knowing his material better than anybody else? The "European" do not step to 12 Month - We changed our system by following what the manufactorers recommanded! For some of the manufactorers we still have 120 Days, other 180 Days, but mostly 12 Month. Listen to the people who knows about it! Guido Reusch
  15. ....so as a Master Rigger, dear Pablito, please tell us - how does it work!? Guido Reusch
