just wanted to ask you guys to please send your prayers, vibes thoughts etc towards my good friend jeff.. though he is not a jumper he is someone that means a lot to me... we have been friends for 3 and a half years, and since then he has battled cancer two times... tonight he called to tell me it was back for the third and likely last time as it has spread all over his brain.. he is only 22 years old and it kills me to know that he is so far away and unfortunately does not have the best support system at ALL... so i'm just asking that you send good vibes his way so that he can get through this as best as he can, and hopefully come out on top again... i really appreciate it .. thanks "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me

jaye your post was refreshing!! though i am not a parent yet, it drives me CRAZY how on top of kids many parents are today - too bad they don't teach any respect or discipline while theyre up their kids asses - i watched a couple of children last summer and i was so paranoid to know their every move because i would have to report back to their mother every 40 minutes when she checked in - it was more annoying than anything the family i'm with now thank god has a better grip on letting kids be kids - they can play in their backyard and not have to worry about anything - no they don't live in the boonies nor do they have a fenced in yard - its ridiculous how parents become so freakin paranoid - for god's sake let your kids be kids and socialize with kids and be able to let their hair down - theyre children this is their time to do it - and for all the whiners who got angry and said their parents were so mean - wait till your kids grow up and bitch about how you never let them be kids edited to add - i understand how parents don't want anything to happen to their children but let them have some life experiences with other children "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me

sleep with ice packs on your face - and make sure you rinse with warm salt water - just don't spit too hard give it a few days and you'll be ok - i found the second day was the worst - until i got dry socket - not fun - seriously do what the doc tells ya oh and another helpful hint, sleep kinda sitting up - that way the blood doesn't rush to your face and cause serious pressure "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me

this thread just got me so excited :) i had the pleasure of working at everfine records (their label) and helped put together the feeling better than everfine festival '04 i was there the summer "34th and 8th" came out and i helped design the little yellow sticker that said "bonus dvd" yes i'm a dork but thats exciting annnnnnnnyway these guys are great - super nice - great music - great label- however i will say i do not care for many of their fans - many happen to be the yuppy teenagers that think the world should kiss their asses and have to prove to most new comers that they have known them better and longer... **i am not saying ALL i am saying many - after going to quite a few shows all over the place i have made the same observation over and over... the real important thing though is their music is great and uplifting... totally happy stuff - go check em out ;) "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me

maybe i missed the thread on this topic but i just wanted to make a few statements about this topic... do people who are rallying not understand - we really don't care if you're here in our country working your asses off, doing jobs "no one else" wants to do... that is not the point - the point is - do it the right way - just because you want to live here in a country of freedom does NOT warrant you the right to have our tax dollars pay for your expenses... we can't just stroll in other countries and expect them to pay for our bills and education because we feel it's our right, since we played mission impossible and snuck past the borders.... you want to live here and be treated equally? then follow the same laws that everyone else has to - earn your citizenship the way millions of legal immigrants did... it's really not as difficult as people make it out to be, just be patient - it's worth the wait instead of living your life hiding "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
