As of today, 1 july 2008, It is now illegal for Skyride or any other company to run deceptive ads and websites in the State of Tennessee. Any company, By State Law are required to have their physical location CLEARLY posted on their website and/or ads of any kind. AND, The phone number listed on the website or ad BY LAW has to be answered in the local calling area of the advertised business and cannot be forwarded to a call center that is located outside the LOCAL CALLING AREA! Also, By STATE LAW, It is illegal for a business to use the name of a city such as Nashville, Memphis Knoxville, etc. to mislead a customer to the business's physical location. If you can verify that, (not doubting you) those jumpers need to know. They may want to persue copyright stuff like Eloy is doing. If these people are not skyride, they may not be as wealthy as skyride and may not weather the storm as well. I don't mean to sound smart or anything, but you spelled it "Pantheon". Did you mean to do that or did you mean to say "Parthenon"? I just googled the Parthenon, and yes, it is in Greece. but however, you are right, Pantheon is a city in Rome. So I guess we are both right. I was looking at that website again, They are offering trips to Italy and shows a picture of the Parthenon. You may have noticed that on the home page of that website, the picture of the Tandem is the same picture that is on a large portion of the sLyride websites. If you will check out luxergy.com, you will see that slyride is in to a whole lot more than just skydiving. They are even trying to sell shark dive expeditions and cruises on cruise ships in Nashville, Tn. Those fools are even selling Wine tasting classes and spa treatments. Go figure. Refuse to Lose!!! Nashville Skydiving is in Russellville, Ky. But the owner started just north of Nashville, Closer than Clarksville. But with increasing air traffic, he moved to Russellville, but since he actually had the business license under the name "Nashville Skydiving" for over 20 years before moving, so the name stuck. I can see where the contradiction would come in to play there, but he is a legitimate non-skyride DZ. He is a tandem and student primary DZ, so up-jumpers won't get much action there. A better idea is for all of the up jumpers to get together and jump there. Skyride is in the Tandem business, not the up jumper business. They will not last long if all they can get is up jumpers. Yep, You are right! They did it to us too. We just recently go our website up, but they have a flag at our location. When you click on it, it just goes directly to email. Tell everyone you know that they are doing a new campaign and soo far, everything that I've seen from it, this one is going to be an all out assault on the web and the skydiving community. I sounds like you are getting in over your head trying to get in to that kind of wing loading at 145 jumps. Be careful. Also, Some DZO's won't let you jump that rig. You may ask your DZO about it. Like I said, I can't stress enough,,, BE CAREFUL. There are categories here for Training and Safety, Equipment and even safe DZ's to jump at, but I doubt you will find a category for how to get yourself hurt or killed. Refuse to Lose!!! I don't have any idea what their tangible assests would be worth, websites, the domains and hosting that goes with them, then the 1 800 numbers, then, IF they do have any kind of aircraft and parachute equipment. I would guess, depending on the aircraft if any, maybe $500,000+. I would expect that if they do have an airplane, it's probably leased. Now Ben and Cary's bank account, now that's a different story, and it's more than likely off shore and it's probably very fat,,, I mean PHAT!!! When I say fat, just think of how many gift certificates that were sold and never redeemed, then all of the ones that the customer was screwed out of in one way or another. Then the profits that were made from the ones that actually were redeemed, although not as profitable as the ones that were not redeemed, that's still money in their account.
