  1. Too big pixel size, or too big file size? If it's pixel size, then just reduce it to whatever the forum limits are on the "Image - Image Size" menu. If it's file size, just go to "File - Save for Web", and then you can move the slider for Quality, and it'll tell you how big the file size will be. But I don't know what the forum limits are for that either!
  2. Hey! Random post by me because I'm being encouraged to post more! SL is static line, another deployment method for students.... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/safety/detail_page.cgi?ID=35#sl
  3. But seriously....2045....there's posting, and then there's posting
  4. Well that's no help...we need to know how to do it! Hold on.... .....there we go!
  5. Well now it's easy to tell you're not a post whore....you didn't mention anything about beer for my first smiley face
  6. That gives me 8 posts to think of something useful/funny to say. I think I may have to go jump more to buy some extra time....
  7. OK....I'll go.... To be honest, the reason I don't post much is because someone's usually said something much more intelligent/better than I could already, so I figure it's better to keep quiet than to say some blurberly rubbish and prove I'm stupid. You see...I've just gone and used the word blurberly...that's what happens.....

    Meteor video

Tis not real...was made by these guys...http://www.methodstudios.com/mox808 (assuming that's the clip you're talking about - I can't get either link to work)
  9. Another (moving!) version... www.christutthill.com/dzcom/diamondring.gif

Do tell...what type of business? I'm in the same position - started my own business (design studio) in Feb, and have been broke ever since!
  11. This may be because I haven't jumped for years and have so few jumps anyway, but stupid question time.... When I was taught to track away, I was told to put my arms down by my side? Is the photo before/after the track, or can you also track well with arms out like that?
  12. Glad I've seen this thread...I haven't jumped for about 2 years now, having stopped when I was on 29 jumps, and was trying to decide if it was really worth getting back into because I also felt a little "it's cool....but is it worth it...". I still want to give it another go, so at least there's a chance I might get the wow factor back again!
  13. How long: 2 years Why: Started jumping when I was in travelling Canada, ran out of money and had to come home. Haven't done so well financially since then... When again: Hopefully within the next month or two. Depends on the money.
  14. Getting on for two years.... Haven't jumped since October 2003, and I'm going back to start again this Saturday! I'm completely terrified and excited all in one big scary dollop.

    17 minutes, 20 seconds.
  16. I've never felt the 'drop feeling'....and as far as I know, you only get it if you jump from a stationary object (balloon, helicopter, etc...). Someone tried explaining it to me once, but it kinda went over my head...something to do with the fact that you don't suddenly change speed when you leave the plane, you only change direction (so it's like turning a corner from going forwards through the air, to going downwards). Maybe.
  17. Might be all you need! Don't think I'd feel comfortable doing that just yet.....
  18. Thanks! All 7 would be good...I just thought it might be a little tricky. I might be able to get to Antarctica, but do they have any DZs? It doesn't really seem like the kind of place that would....?
  19. You know how you can post something.....and then realise you should have thought it through a little better first...... For some reason I just counted America as one, and the Arctic as another....I have no idea where I got that from! Didn't realise Greenland was part of North America... OK then, so it's now 6 jumps and 6 continents....
  20. That does sound more fun....and more like a holiday.....which would be nice...... I guess it could be more than 5 days...I haven't tried to work out timings yet....I just want there to be some sort of challenge side to it, but I guess a few more than 5 days would be OK...can't make it too easy though!
  21. panic?? it had crossed my mind.....yet to come up with an answer....you can probably tell this is a very very sketchy plan at the moment....
  22. I'm not really questioning whether I'm ready....I'm sure after getting current and bringing myself back up to speed with everything I wold be fine about it....I'm just worried I may have forgotten something that my low numbers may cause a problem with. And the travel thing is my other main concern.....I'm hoping I would be able be able to get something out the airlines...apparently people have got free/very discounted flights before for charity stuff like this, but it's something else I would have to work on... I've not heard of Operation Freefall before...I'll do a search for details about that....
