  1. Jo, who was talking about the "authorities"? The point I made was that this software is widely available. Anyone here could probably do it. Anyway doesn't matter which composite you use, I think Duane will be out of the running. Sure start with identified candidates but I and others do not think Cooper has been identified yet. There are millions of photos on the net to mine for a match .... Perhaps this is the way to narrow down a suspect list! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  2. Actually I was thinking of a she, but yes it can be applied more widely. And um sorry if i am doing the dumb blonde thing now but I do not get the burning bush allusion... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  3. ...how some people scream blue murder about the way they are spoken to/treated (in their perception) here and then turn around and do exactly the same thing to someone else? Then again, some people really do seem to think they deserve special treatment that others are not entitled to. Just an observation. Holds within and outside this thread. -- So on another tack nobody liked my photo idea? Or was it misinterpreted as "image enhancing" by everyone? Or do the purist scientists think of it as simply data mining rather than a proper hypothesis test? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  4. This facial recognition software that is popping up everywhere (Picasa, my daughters new cheap Canon powershot, etc...) Yeah I know someone once claimed the Vegas software picked out Duane as a close match, but I never saw any proof. Point is, this software is now ubiquitous and anyone can get hold of it. Also judging by the way Picasa has picked up my daughter from ages 2 through 10 when faces change a lot, I reckon it might even get the Georger stamp of approval. Does anyone know if this software will actually work from a sketch not a photo to start with, and if so ... can we start using it? How do we get a pool - start with all the suspects identified so far and then ... what? (And yes I know it is not foolproof either, the Facebook version picked an arbitrary bystander as being a friend of mine when it wasn't.) Just an idea... something different. 5. Sigh. Nothing you can post will alter Jo's conviction that Weber was Cooper. Nothing. (Don't worry about accusations that you are X, Y and Z, or raising conspiracy theories, we have seen it all before.) Blevins, well as you can see he has a vested interest in Christiansen. I too thought the photos were an uncanny match and I like your list. Does it mean he was Cooper? Like Georger, I think probably not, but then again this would not be the first time this forum has found someone who fits what we think could be a good match for a Cooper story (e.g. Sheridan Petersen) and pursued it from there... (PS: I have been away for a while, touring far-flung shores. [Note the punctuation; not Farflung's shores.] No, I haven't read every single post that went up while I was away. But I did read the ones that looked like they might add value/useful info/constructive comment.) (PPS: I watched a movie on the flight that Bruce may have seen, "The Killing Room"; it postulates that MKUltra is still going...) (PPPS: I see 377 is still petitioning Quade to drop Snow's ban. Gotta give him credit for perseverance ) (PPPS I just ran out of steam on p973. So I have probably missed a lot between then and this post. Will catch up later!) 6. hmm...interesting sluggo. might be nothing, might be cooper... no reports of parachute bits nearby...? And presume you have all seen the other case where the FBI finally got their man after a long hunt... and also after a new public info campaign, I guess Carr was hoping for results like this re Cooper... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/23/us/23bulger.html?_r=1&smid=fb-nytimes&WT.mc_id=US-SM-E-FB-SM-LIN-WBA-062311-NYT-NA&WT.mc_ev=click Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  7. Hm.... farflung, question for you: how many men have ever actually ASKED for a personal urinal at home? Georger, your argument is flawed. No taxes = no bureaucrats! Actually, that sounds like a mighty fine idea. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  8. ...you say that as though it's a bad thing?? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  9. Sailshaw, not all blondes are dumb. Jo, firstly the pilots only thought they knew where he jumped after the pressure bump thought to have been caused by him actually jumping. Did not know when he was on the stairs. And even if they did...knocking a guy off the stairs when he has a parachute on and is about to jump anyway is hardly an issue. I bet practically every skydiver on this forum has had an incident where they have left the plane earlier than planned...we're all still around. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  10. Hmm and actually...he did not actually claim to be Sheridan Peterson, he wrote some things in a post and people jumped to conclusions.... Which makes me think... Good exercise on how some people jump to conclusions when they think they are seeing something that confirms what they want to hear.... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  11. Ditto, and welcome Pete! Definitely a fascinating life story. So I am going to jump in and ask you a couple of questions
  12. Agree. Incidentally I use slideshows when I give presentations. 99% of the talks and presentations I attend also use slideshows. I can state categorically the idea did not come from Jo Cooper. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  13. Jo, I think you are wrong about Duane. And that means there is no way he married you to 'lie low'. He married you because he loved you. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  14. lol... touche! Incidentally Mr Orange has some bamboo socks too. I don't think he wears them to be green (or Mr Green... whoa, I feel like I'm in some kind of alternative reality Reservoir Dogs here). But back to the original thread drift: he says they are extremely comfortable. I think they are quite pricey too. As long as green things are pricey, except for Farflung's example of people who like to green to show how superior they are, they will not take off. (The question of demand and price and unaffordable subsidies and regulation and whatever else might be done is probably not to be rammed down innocent DZ people's throats. I spare you.) 15. Ah Georger, never mind, you are not the first and won't be the last person Jo has accused of getting "really upset" about things when the posts read pretty ordinary to everyone else. I was rather amused at her demanding answers from you in red!!!!!!!!! As though you are some skivvy ... as though Jo bothers to answer 98% of what other people ask her ...!!!! Edit: i was typing "null hypothesis" in a doc and mistyped (adjacent key) as "bull hypothesis" ... which made me think of this thread Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  16. 377 was right way back when... you're hooked! I remember a promise to let this whole thing go once the book was out the way ... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  17. Ever Notice that when I make a post like the one above - it is ignored? Puzzling? Not really, because the truth is stranger than anything anyone could ever make up. All of the above post is FACT. People ignore them because (a) they discount wild conspiracy theories and more importantly (b) there is no connection to Cooper. And it is interesting that you say "All of the above post is FACT" when your own post is peppered with "supposedly" this and that, uncertainty as to exactly who what and when. How is that "FACT"???? The absolute hallmark of a conspiracy theory is to present a number of "suppose this" suppose that" "if this because of that" "maybe" and then somehow conclude it all happened and that supports the conspiracy. That is what you've done!!! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  18. Hm, now I'm feeling inadequate. How do I become a licensed amateur radio operator? And is a licensed amateur kind of like an A license in skydiving?! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  19. Because I feel I have to prove my point: If you had to ask if it was really in the transcripts... clearly you didn't have them, or the full ones. And note you already mention here that the transcripts came out "way back", and this was over 2 years ago. Not recent and clearly not full knowledge. Edit: in case anyone is wondering, yes it was in the transcripts. (I was the one who looked it up for Jo and answered her post above...) Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  20. We discussed the transcripts before and you made it obvious back then you did not have them all... I clearly remember people looking up stuff for you in the transcripts that you did not have.... so no I do not think it is only recent.... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  21. Then Ms Orange comes back with this retort: .... Lye Soap is the resulting product of the above and often used to wash out the mouth of sassy young folks - back in the days. The only rude/nasty terms above is a direct quote from you. Does being a senior give you more license to be rude? Because that's sure the way you're trying to make it sound. Personally, I thought calling someone stupid would be against the forum rules on PAs, but yet again Teflon Jo sails on. It's amazing, actually. Modus operandi: be as nasty as you want, then pull something out to make people feel sympathetic with you. Jo is clearly a past master at manipulating men!!!! Incidentally, Jo, you never answered: with all these people doing all this work for you and discovering all sorts of stuff, how is it one of them never managed to do something as simple as download the transcripts for you? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  22. Pots... Kettles... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  23. And Jo, honestly....if you say you want the truth, how is it you have managed to get people to uncover all sorts of things, and yet have not asked any of them to download the transcripts for you...which is just about the only piece of real evidence available to the public??? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  24. Georger, wherever you got your copy of the transcripts from, I downloaded mine directly from the FBI website. If the link is no longer there, or if there was different stuff on sluggo's site, that has nothing to do with what I downloaded. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  25. Seattle PI? The transcript comes from the FOIA section of the FBI site. And I have read the whole thing, not taken a 'few lines'. We had some quite involved discussions about the transcript a while back. I don't recall you questioning its provenance back then. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
