  1. I think she means play with your kitten .
  2. Yeap, theres nothing like playing an all night orgy of SCRABBLE!
  3. Yeah sure, if your lucky to visit on the ONE DAY of the f**kin year we have good weather lol.
  4. Heres one: Why do American students feel the need to travel round Europe?? What do they expect to see other than moaning Germans, smelly Frenchmen, misserable English....etc?
  5. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll forget it by tomorrow morning .
  6. Has anyone ever walked into a room and then forgot why you walked in there? Then you ask yourself "now why did I walk in this room"? Whats the point in asking yourself that, when you don't f**knin know?
  7. Has anyone noticed when you phone a wrong number, thier always in? And the U-bend in the toilet, I can't get my head around that, can you?
  8. You refering to the "bluetit"? A common species over here lol. Same size as a red breasted robin, but has blue head and wings with a yellow under belly.
  9. Looks like this is your storm for todays chasin . Let me know if you caught it buddy. Says its got golf ball sized hail in it
  10. Eat really well (no junk food), perhaps up your protein and complex carb intake and get loads of rest. Make sure you wear a pair of comfortable trainers and stretch well every night and just before the walk. Do that and you will atl east feel refreshed and ready to go on the day. Oh and pace yourself. If you legs starts to ache, just slow your pace, breath heavy and get the oxygen to them, they'll soon go numb and you'll be able to walk forever .
  11. Thats awesome dude. Sounds like it was a pretty nasty meso and you had the best seat in the house to record it from as well . My tour doesnt start till May, but I know the Weather Channel sometimes repeats its storm stories, so I might get it see it when I get there
  12. 12,000 homes destroyed and was only given an F3 rating?? It was a big one then . Did that supercell drop anymore after or before that one?
  13. I wouldn't call that small dude. Looks like a pretty decent wedge to me, possible multi-vortex, thats a good photo as well, good contrast. How long do you think it lasted roughly?
  14. If your boarding it only hurts to fall over if your REALLY PELTING it down and you fall head first. Other than that, falling over is just funny. If your going to fall, fall on your backside, you won't slide as far down the hill that way lol. Oh and one more thing, if your snowbording? Have a WONDERFUL time on the button lifts LOL. You'll see what I mean when you first get on one LOL.
  15. I've been snowboarding a few times. Italy, Switzerland, South France (most of the Alps lol) and dry ski slopes in the UK. Heres a few: 1. Wear more than one pair of sockets. 2. Always wear gloves. I've cut my hands on jagged ice from falling over before, not very nice. 3. Be prepared to have VERY bruised knees and backside. 4.Take some sun lotion for your face, sometimes you can get sunburnt from the reflection off the snow (panda eyes ). 5. Pay for professional lessons from the first day. All ways helps in the prevention of injuries early on. 6. I can only vouch for Europe but be warned about some of the prices of ski passes. 7. Sometimes its better to borrow ski suits and goggles and stuff from friends, rather than hiring them, as it can get expensive. 8. Be prepared to ache in places you never realised you had . 9. Always make a note of where you are and how to get back if your decide to go off on your own anywhere. I would recommend sticking to the blue and green slopes for the first few days, before taking on the red runs. 10. VERY IMPORTANT. Have fun!!!

  17. Its a HOTKEY trojan i think. Hides itself in Windows/Pre-fetch folder if you got it. I haven't got it but I too got the "how funny is this" and than an .exe file for MS-DOS. Anything with .exe is an installer and should NEVER be saved or opened unless you know exactly where it has come from and what its to install.
  18. Sorry to hear that. that real sucks man, have you tried righting to the skydiving association over there and telling them? They might have a word with the center. Just keep hassling them everyday, all day. They will probably get so pissed off they will pay you to shut you up lol. I'm sure there must be some sort of legal action you can take? They cant expect you to work for free, contract or no contract.
  19. I think I better warn you as well. Storm Chasing is VERY, VERY addictive. You think "if I see a really decent F4 stow pipe tornado, I'll be satisfied". WRONG!! Once you have seen one, you want to catch a better one. If you catch one, I guarantee that you will be divided between the beginning of chasing season and skydiving season every year. Every year I say to my self that this will be the last year I spend money on chasing and start spending it on AFF, I failed again this year . I'm a huge severe weather head. I was caught in hurricane Andrew while on holiday in Miami, August 1992 and have been fascinated by severe weather ever since. So if you want to know anything, I'll be happy to point you in the right directions
  20. I've been tornado chasing twice, once last year for two weeks and once the year before for one week. I have already booked and paid for my Master Class Tour this year on May 25th to June 5th with Roger Hill, one of the worlds leading Meteorologist in Supercell activity. I have seen and ran out into softball sized hail to pick it up. I have seen F0 up to F4 tornados. Saw an F4 in Harpercounty last year. Lasted for over an 1 hour and destroyed many homes unfortunately. There were a number of supercells. The one that produced the F4 was rainrapped, we had to punch it from the south to see it (punching the core or bear cage as its called). We were within a mile of a 1/2 mile wide F4 wedge tornado. You could SMELL it. If you are thinking of going on a tour I can recommend the best tours as there are a lot of bogus tours out there. A number of people on my tour had been on others tours, with other tour guides years previous and been VERY disapointed. Silver Lining and Tempest Tours are both very good. I have personally gone with Silver Lining two years running and NOT been disapointed. HP, LP and classic supercells packing in over 5000 joules of CAPE, giant hailstones upto softball, F0 - F4 tornadoes within VERY close and visible distance, RFD's up to 75mph (hurricane strength), the most incredible lightning shows on earth. Go with Silver Lining dude, tell them Ryan from England sent you lol.

  22. The density of a gas is given by: p(gas) m/v = PM/RT where m = the mass of the gas (in kg) M = the molecular mass of the gas (in kg mole-1) R = the gas constant (8.31 J K-1 mole -1) and T = the absolute tempreture in K. The you can determine the strength of the air spring (the bonding between each molecule). Given by: E(gas) = yp Where P = the pressure of the gas (in N m-2) V = the volume of the gas (in m3) and y = is a constnat whcih depends on the gas (1.4 for air). The speed of sound in the air can then be calculated though the apparent gas by V(gas) = square root of E(gas)/P(gas) = square root of yp/(PM/RT) = suare root of yRT/M Soory for the lack of mathmatical symbols .
