  1. Around jump 40. Was very stressed about it at first, and actually became a good relaxing moment for me. I am still super slow (70 jumps later...), but am thinking that if I keep practicing it will get faster.
  2. I will stay in Pasadena for the next 5 months, if you still don't have a ride you can PM me. I currently go to Elsinore, and only jumps the weekends.
  3. wildfan>> oh wow, that was quite an animated thread O_O thanks for the link
  4. Hey there, had the same probleme with mine, the system is kinda lame and not very confy too, using the lace and plastic fasteners (thickness underneath creating bumps against the hand) I was very disappointed, especially since the one they advertise on their site has a simpler better system (with the ring attached to a box in which you can put the altimeter). here is the cool one attached, Ill take a photo of mine to show you the difference. http://www.l-and-b.dk/images/products/viso_003.jpg
  5. I have spent a season at nouvel air, it really is a tight family, with truly amazing people. I know Mia was dear to your hearts, and I will always remember her smile, I morn with you. Ciels bleus Mia. David
  6. Sci-fi: Akira Planets Cowboy Bebop Cobra the Space Pirate Gunbuster 2 diebuster Whimsical: Neighbor totoro Spirited away the moving castle (great flying parts) Weird/insano: Fooly cooly (FLCL)
  7. 1.5 hrs now, but when I was in canada I had no car, and had to take a bus for 2 hrs, then a taxi on top of it...
  8. forget about space diving, not dangerous enough... Let's blackhole dive instead http://vyle-art.com/noshow/blackhole%20copy%20copy.jpg
  9. Best timing ever for posting this! Thanks so much!
  10. I have been living in Canada for a year and a half now, and just decided to move back to Texas partly for work and partly to be able to jump more: better salary+nice weather= more jumps Got to find ways to fulfill the new addiction.

Well, got mildy lucky with the weather (got 4 days of wind out of 6 ...) but managed to get my aff. Did 12 jumps in 2 days, including the two solos and the hop and pop. Had to redo level 3 and 4 (stability issue due to not being relaxed at all, thanks to my instructor for stopping the spin!) then it all went smoothly. Had the chance to sit right next to some wingsuit guys, they probably thought I was a weirdo as I tried to look at every inch of their equipment while on the load... After those few jumps, I am even more amazed at what you guys do. It was a very humbling experience. Need to work freelance again to get my A license now...

long time no post, but for good reasons! Finished to work enough freelance to pay my aff. Using the fact I am going to the U.S for a game convention, I decided to add the few vacation days I have to go through Eloy next week ;) hopefully the weather will be fine. Before I left I did a quicky sketch done after the latest flocking videos I saw online. lurch>> I found your video, got a good laugh at the screams, and only dream about one thing: be able to share flight with you guys one day. As soon as I get back to Montreal in ten days, I'll add more female-birds ;) http://www.vyle-art.com/wingsuits/FULL_wings_FLOCK_A.jpg

Sorry for the delay in my posting, have been working freelance in the weekends to finance my aff!! Coming along pretty well on my bank account! I should be able to do it soon. mccordia >> Wow, that would be something! My eyes would probably pop out of their orbit. Here are two new ones, and also a third one much more sci fi (but which I can not give high res as it might be used for a book). The next serie I will do will probably be with less mountains, and more suits. the main link again for the hires stuff: http://vyle-art.com/dreamw/wingsuits.htm Mount_J http://vyle-art.com/gallery/albums/speedpaintings/Mount_J.jpg Home mount_A http://vyle-art.com/gallery/albums/speedpaintings/homount_A.jpg Sci-fi stuff: (I thought I'd post it here anyway since there are 3 weird wingsuits after all!) http://vyle-art.com/gallery/albums/homework/megacity_A.jpg

Here is the link to an improvised page, hope it will be ok for the moment. Once I have more illustrations I'll do a proper one. http://www.vyle-art.com/dreamw/wingsuits.htm I limited the bmp backgrounds to 1600 width max as not many people use above (yet), and for faster downloading time. The jpgs are at the "painted resolution" and at low compression level, so they should be enough to print. If not, drop me a line and I'll add also bmp zips at full res. Thanks also for the kind words, it keeps me going! MarkM >> the landing gears were an option I thought about, inspired by ski jumpers as they land at quite a steep angle and high speeds. Maybe they'd be ok if you land on a plane carrier moving around proper speed with an inclined landing platform? fenceline >> it's an honor MB38 >> here ya go, full res! dploi>> it seems we met halfway! unclecharlie95 >> good eye, some images were definitely inspired by those jumpers. Especially a shot where a pilot passes by a group of people at the summit of a swiss mountain on the soulflyers video. Mindblowing images. riggerrob>> might very well happen, weather is getting seriously cold now here (especially after moving from texas to canada) Will probably have to save money and travel... I was advised by the farnham dropzone (the closest to me, where I did my last tandem) to sign up for a november trip in florida and go with them. leroydb>> good thing I can't build them! Too much responsibility... kevin922>> here ya go for the high res, proud to be on a pilot's wall!! Not an engineer ;) but I'll have a look at the site for inspiration!
