  2. as all of you other canuck base jumpers know...it's been a cold ass winter. I havent jumped for a month and a half b/c I dont feel like freezing my nut sack off and getting my testies amputated. Fortunately...the weather broke and my buddy and I are going to hit up an A this weekend. After being packed for a month...would you guys jump the rig or repack? 3. would I feel weird when loaning my rig....hell yeah!!!! tHAT'S MY BABY! I had one of my friends pack job in my gargoyle....couldn't even sleep at night...the "what if" factor is just way too high. Not even worth it. If you are at the point where you base jump then you alone should pack your canopy! 4. first and foremost...... please never scare me like that again. I am still a beginner and took my fjc at the bridge. Luckily I was graced w/ an excellent teacher/mentor and now feel as if I am headed in the right direction. He clearly stated the no rush attitude/ the object is going nowhere attitude which all new base jumpers need to have. I have been jumping back home and all is well. Would the interest decline. I don't think so. Once you see base for the first time, I believe you know right away if you're in or not. Although some may lack the experience right away, they know if base is for them or not. Would people starting off be less crazy. Maybe. Although a great training tool...it can also lead people to think base is safer then it actually is. You can never assume that the canopy will open on heading or even take a bridge for granted. I believe the list speaks for itself ( much respect to all that are gone). Would closing it down be a blessing in disguise. Maybe! What is the solution on regulating a sport which at it's core should hold no regulations. Educate and bring awareness about the sport to those interested in a relentless and powerfull fashion. Those are my two cents. 9. Hey guys! I am heading to Twin Falls for my FJC next week. I had spotted an article that could be printed from either the CSPA or USPA pertaining to bringing our gear as carry on in the planes. I would feel far more comfortable having it with me at all times. Does anyone know what article/letter I am talking about? Thanks... helmets????

What's up guys and dolls! Well I will finally be base jumping. I got the gear, I am registered for my first jump course and all the rest of that good stuff. I promised myself I would use a full face once I started base jumping. My Bonehead mind warp just wont cut it at this point. Any suggestions or reviews on full faced helmets best suited for base would be appreciated! 14. I have been trying to figure out the artist (s) or name of the song in this video for far too long. Can anybody clue me in? http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1970&string=base%202004 "we can either clmib down...or take the 15 second express shuttle" ---- during a snow storm on a 1000 foot antenna

  16. So...it's friday night, I'm at work.....shouldn't I be drinking or something? I work for mastercard in a shit hole cubicle to support myself during university ( and to support my jumping problem). I know everyone has probably had some real shitty jobs.... Try and one up me! 17. No, the hole isn't offset, it's in the center of the top flap and all the other holes are centered on the rest of the flaps. "we can either clmib down...or take the 15 second express shuttle" ---- during a snow storm on a 1000 foot antenna
  18. I couldn't help notice that when I am closing my container ( top, bottom and usually left to right ), my left flap has a number 3# on it and so does my right one. Can those containers be closed left to right or right to left. I can't download the manual from innovated rigging so I figured I would check with everyone. I haven't experinced any problems in the air but just to be on the safe side... Godspeed...... 21. good to know I'm not the only bumbler out there. Good luck on your studies babe! Whatever they are... From one crazy corker to another... "we can either clmib down...or take the 15 second express shuttle" ---- during a snow storm on a 1000 foot antenna
  22. well said Eiley....I guess the original poster didn't phrase it right. Either way....I don't agree w/ wanting to witness a death in the sport to understand the psychy behing those who have. I don't believe it justifies such a comment/demand. Nothin but jargon! Godspeed... "we can either clmib down...or take the 15 second express shuttle" ---- during a snow storm on a 1000 foot antenna
  23. Death will not strengthen your love for the sport. It will not make you more humble, more mature or more knowledgeable of anything. It will not improve your tracking skills, your sit flying and your non skydiving buddies will only give a damn about your fatality story as long as you keep feeding them beer. So why in the hell would you post such a thing? I'm sorry......I just have no love for such comments. You need to re-evaluate yourself my friend! I have less jumps then you but I'm no green ass when it comes to death. Life shouldn't be squandered trying to mimic or observe our own end.... 24. O.k...so I am at work, I should be studying for my psychology exam. Why....Why does this seem so much better. I.E really no reason for this post! Just want to know if other students feel the same? "we can either clmib down...or take the 15 second express shuttle" ---- during a snow storm on a 1000 foot antenna
  25. What's up..... I keep getting hassled by some of my friends to get hard housings installed on my flexon. If was told that if the canopy isn't over loaded, soft housings shouldn't be a problem. Does anyone care to add to these statements? "we can either clmib down...or take the 15 second express shuttle" ---- during a snow storm on a 1000 foot antenna
