OK last post from me since the event is now over. All I can say is "WOW' and "THANK YOU --EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU VERY MUCH!" Everytime I think that things can't posibly get any better. they do. I think this may be the first time in 6 years that the females out numered the males The costumes.....gotta give that special mention to "Drew" attorney at law.....nice "one" buddy. all the girls appreciated i"it" S.K. You did new tricks with light sticks that I hadn't seen before & I thought I had seen it all. Thanks for the entertainment and the "shower" Although the turn out at the party in the evening was a bit smaller than last year's huge bash, Capt John just confirmed that more actual skydiving took place. And I think everybody agreed they made some quality jumps. Once again thank you & thanks to the man upstairs who makes it all possible.

OK everybody. It's that day !! Let the games begin.The Halloween Boogie kicks off at 9 AM. The hot tub is fixed -and clean- and will probably stay that way for at least an hour tonight. A band member had a last minute family emergency so we're gonna have to make do with a DJ...but, you know us, we can party to a transistor radio cause we all just have a good time digging each others company. One free jump on each load. Free food, beer & jello-shots, huge bonfire, fireworks, NO REGISTRATION. Costume Contest. Come on out & have some fun.

Hey Mike. Glad we could be of service to you, and congrats on kicking butt on your AFF course along with Russel, Jason, Lori, David & Rudy. You guys are the kind of students that we feel priveledged to have pass through our (King Air ) door.... We really wish you guys could make the Halloween Boogie so we could introduce you to the post graduation and after-hours side of skydiving but I guess we'll get to do that when you all get back Moody AFB. Best of luck in flying all that cool stuff thats almost as cool as parachutes...OK, maybe it's cooler than parachutes....but hey, you guys get the best of both worlds. Let us know when you're headed back & we'll throw an AirForce Appreciation Boogie special for you guys, Matt & Jarrod, & The PJs who jump here.

Oh yeah almost forgot, we're working on a nice FIREWORKS display to add a little color to the already very colorful (and sometimes off-color) festivities. I know a few of the "costumes: that people are planning & all I can say is that it seems like it will be as crazy as it has always been. So once again..free food, drink, jello-shots, live band. 1 free jump drawn from every load... Golf cart races.....Oh whoops that's right, Only 1 cart right now...well BYOGC & we can do it

Cindy, anymore info on whats happening that Saturday nite?? OK this is what we got so far: NO REGISTRATION FEE ! Super Fast King Air jumps all day.(9 out of 10 jumpers agree, with a full load--it was faster than the Super Otter) Each load, a drawing for a free jump. Night time. Free food & "refreshments" start at 7:30-8 PM . Live Band "Travesty" back by popular demand from our 10 yr Anniversary Boogie... starts at 8:30...Costume contest during band break at 9:15. Band continues.....people partake of beverages, SL John rips up the dance floor. Capt John fuels up the bonfire with lots of Jet A...I drive around with a golf cart full of jello-shots......over the hills & far away....Hey maybe cops show up & "arrest" me again :) That was sooooo fun... Maybe we can all dress up like cops & confuse them........A THEME- Halloween Boogie , that would be different.

OK I know this event is over & I was really done posting about it BUT...... Somebody obviously had waaaaaaaaay too much fun because somebody LEFT THEIR RIG BEHIND

Skydive Tallahassee is holding it's 6th annual Halloween Party....anyone who has ever been knows that people take our costume party & contest very seriously, so the best, wildest, coolest costumes come out (OK so we have had a few no-costumes as costumes, but that's another story) No registration Fee.... Free food & refreshments......Fast climbing King Air & a drawing each & every load for 1 free slot. Live Band !!!! Soliciting really good jello-shot recipes

IMO.... Live entertainment/ DJs and or bands. Kegs of beer, food availabale on DZ, specialty aircraft or aircraft not normally available on that DZ. Manufacturer's reps on hand......Organisers, free coaching...Specialty jumps (like high-altitude)....

Yes, I believe a good time was had my all that attended. I 'm not into all the drama that was going on I just wanted to jump.....and I did lots of that. Thanks to SD Tallahassee, Spacelands Otter and all the great new smiling faces I met this weekend. You guys ROCK and I'll definitely be back so if you're smart you'll lock the doors. Drama? Did I miss something? If you mean the cops showing up....that was nothing, they just got a complaint that our kegs of beer arrived a little late & people were thirsty... And I think they really wanted to munch out on jello shots because they ran out of doughnuts or something like that... (psssst-it was really easy to get out of those handcuffs) THANK YOU to everybody who came out to help us celebrate our Anniversary. I hope everybody had a great time. We'weren't able to get eveything in place the way we had planned because Hurrivcane Ivan zapped us of 2 entire work days & got us way behind. So we tried to cram all of Weds & Thurs stuff into Friday morning.....but just ran out of time. Thanks to all of the Farm people who made it down, & Roaming DZ...Sorry I didn't get to say bye to most of you, We're glad you all came.....And once again real big thanks to the suppliers of the jello-shots......can I get recipes??? I think a few people are addicted.

Just talked to the Super Otter owner & everything is still a GO at this point....Rabbit's gonna kick Ivan's ass on the way to Tally from Skydive Spaceland. Hey all you Alabama Loiusianna & Mississippi Boys & Girls, run-away quick, come join all the South Georgia gang ---we've got a place for ya ! Hey, we need someone to make a million jello shots for us......any takers??? We've had a little trouble with malicious phones calls to the authorities this past month so the kegs gotta go just across the property line--- but harmless little containers of jello--who would suspect such cute little colorful deserts? THis is gonna be a great time. Don't forget we have a band Friday night as well as Saturday night.

Eye of the Hurricane Boogie. Yes, you heard it here. We're offering a limited number of Hurricane Eye jumps during our 10 year Boogie....Only a million bucks each..well, you know, we'd have to replace the plane. So..hmmm what the heck is this Ivan gonna do? Wish we knew. As of right now, the plans are still on. We'll make a decision on the Super Otter by Thursday 10 AM at the latest. If the conditions aren't looking good & we can't commit to the Otter. we'll still have the King Air on hand should we get a nice hole :)

Should be jumping in Quincy--skydive tallahassee.... But if not, we'll just keep gettin' ready for the big one (party that is) next weekend

Depending on exactly wher you are in Georgia, you may want to check out North FLorida DZ's Skydive Tallahassee/ School of Human Flight is only 10 miles south of the border located in Quincy Florida--It's the only turbine DZ in the Florida Panhandle. Weekends only, Fast KingAir, Huge landing area, Mirage RTS & Aerodyne Icon rental rigs. Great vibe, carpeted packing area. Seminole Skydiving is 45 minutes further South, in Panacea FL but right on the Gulf of Mexico. Cessna 182, Open alternanting weekends. Mainly for Tandems, but up jumpers can jump too. Awesome scenery. JAX extreme sports in Jacksonville...haven't been there....don't know much about it.

Here's the scoop...Intermediate altitude jumps are 15 K- 20 K require B license & 100 jumps. "high" altitude are 20-30K & require C license & bail-out (take it with you O2) So to let the most number of people participate, we'll keep it at 20K "Intermediate" If you just need a written test or whatever for your B-lets get that wrapped up prior. Totally unrelated: RED BULL will be here--with lots of what else?? RED BULL to keep everybody wound up just in case nobody is excited enough already.

I'm totally with Aggie Dave here....I used to be a hard-core AFF is better type AFF Instructor.......until we started offering Tandem Progression....Now our TP students do much better, save money, are more relaxed , almost never have to repeat any jumps, & unstable deployments have become very nearly non-existant. We still offer "pure" AFF for people who really just want to "do it themselves" right from the Get Go, Or just cannot stand Tandem for some reason..including homo-phobes, he-man types & people who have that freaky thing going on about other people touching them.....

Congrats on your new addiction !! Been a while since I've been there, but Empuriabrava has always had super high quality AFF Instruction, excellent well-maintained equipment, great facilities, and very memorable parties... I don't think you would be disappointed there....Tell Ivan & Peter that Cindy says "HI"

Hi Marrianne; So glad you're coming. (I think Lance is really looking forward to seeing you). But the poor baby broke a few ribs in a car crash last Sunday...bummer.......He keeps giving me crap for making him laugh, 'cause it hurts him to laugh.... I look forward to meeting you. Registration is $15 for jumpers $20 for non-jumpers.....Lift tickets are $20 bills....we're not gonna sell actual tickets, you just manifest with a $20 bill......if ya need to use a credit card, we'll sell you "tickets" for $21......NO CHECKS ACCEPTED unless you're a local who has been jumping here forever..... Entertainment is included....in addition to the paid DJ & Bands, we always seem to have a lot of spontaneous jumper created enteretainment as well......The freefly "coached" jumps with TK Langren are available for just the cost of slots. (DZ is picking up the coaching fees--but if anybody wanted to pitch in a contribution trowards this, we would not bject) ) The food is whatever Scotty & Tami Carbone of the Carbone Zone......decide to charge, but it is always excellant quality & quantity as well. Evening " Refreshmants" are no-charge either. The only other charge that I can think of is..$6 /night for electric from the airport authority for RVs.... This is going to be an awesome event & we look forward to celebrating with all of our local jumpers & sharing the fun with any newbies who want to check us out :)

Talked to Cindy Saturday, she said you haven't trimmed the Mohawk yet... Hey, now that gives me a great idea for a PARTY GAME...Trim the Mohawk from Marcus..see, you get a bunch of people- blindfolded- with machetes, trimmers, whatever.....OK OK, we'll keep it safe..HOOK KNIVES :) and we give the "young man" a trim... Latest CONFIRMATIONS: THe Super Otter will be one from Houston which was at the Richmond Boogie last weekend. It will be piloted by RABBIT---so all of Rabbit's fans, be sure to join us. Our own CRITTER will be "piloting" the high altitude stuff, so all of Critter's fans come get XTRA HIGH ! We wil have enough O2 for a Total of 4-5 high altitude jumps, provided the drunks don't find it at 5 AM Saturday morning. Beezy Shaw from HIPER USA will be bringing demo Nitro and Blade canopies for everybody to try out. We will have, in addition to our regular packing area, a 20 X 60 carpeted tent to keep you guys out of the sun. Not confirmed...working on a firearms, whoops I mean fireworks permit.. :)

Maybe late Sunday....has other things to attend to... SUPER DAVE Garrett will be there.....Fortson, please put him on standby for the big way, in case somebody else bugs out or something, he'd really like to be on it. BTW everybody make extra sure those rigs are in date, our friendly FAA inspectors ramp checked us very recently & the check included pulling packing data cards....120 days ..You can't be even 1 or 2 days out. But, you all know that :) UPDATES: We will have 2 temporary (but very functional) outdoor showers up by the weekend, and have 5 places where RVs can tap into the airport authority's electric supply for $6/ night. If you want one of these available electric spots, let me know ASAP. We can arrange a few more if we need them. We will probably put up a few extra camping tents for the homeless strays that need to crash somewhere other than the runway.

Hmm good question...Back before my 3 personal SIMs went missing I could have looked it up & answered your question...Now I quess I'll just have to say the qualifications are: the ability to sign up by 9 PM the night before, & make a 7:30 briefing after an awesome party night. Aw crap, I quess ya actually have to have a license or something & being sobered up wouldn't be a bad idea,,,,,I'll check it out & get back to you all........Now don't nobody go switching the Oxygen for Nitrous...we don't want no giggling on the plane.....

(we do have a liquor store as a sponsor hee hee) of course somebody else will probably win it, but they will probably share it with you..... Just got an email from the USAF Test Unit, they are coming to the Boogie, might take a bunch of those high-altitude slots, so if any qualified jumper really wants one, I"d get your $$ down. I'm trying to get them to bring extra oxygen to help get rid of the morning hangovers..no word on that yet :) The sunset belly 21 way is filled......course the Freeflyers can still do a 14 way tracking dive from the KingAir :) Oh yeah & the new DZ Golf Cart is totally off limits...no really. I mean it....hey come back here, get off that thing.......Oh man I can't believe they flipped it on the runway ..........AGAIN .........

Until the culprits are convicted of a crime, to publicly accuse them of one might get ya in trouble if you actually name them...But how about exact cities & the guy's initials......The skydiving community is small, so that may be enough info for some of us to figure it out, without you having to actually name them.. I'm curious because I heard a story about a Georgia guy who reportedly recently stole 2 CYPRESs by claiming UPS never delivered them when they really did, then he collected the Insurance money. put the original 2 in his personal rigs (he's a rigger) & sold the 2 replacements for money to buy a Tandem
