  1. Hey Freaksis Your best friend? Buy a dog they're lower maintenance. Then again, you me and a leash... WOOF! /s
  2. limey??? Ahh that would be nr.2 in the great list of stupid assumptions - because I live and work in London I must be English - wrong! Stupid assumption nr. 1 would be thinking that shouting at foreigners, when abroad, will make them understand English. Numskull, lets play - will you be my new best friend? /s
  3. Hey jumpergirl (if it really is you) What did you do this past weekend? Did you behave yourself? Hope you didn't talk to strangers! Seriously though, were you working? My company laid off a whole bunch of people on Friday, and it was really sad for some of them. I was secretly hoping they'd lay me off, because the money was OK - but they decided they still haven't had enough of my shy retiring self. bummer. Anyway, now they will probably expect me to start working - as if. later /s
  4. Man, I knew I was one sad pathetic overly-competitive geek before I started this thread, but I am busy writing my own chapter in the book of anal-retentive records. /s
  5. And I bet when I come off (newbie) status then you'll want to be my bestest friend and I'll be like 'Hey missy, why don't you just go post some more'. Yeah, that'll be sweeeeet! /s
  6. You come near me and I'll get a grip all right, Freaksis! hubbahubba

Yo skyhawk - you dumbass! You're in Australia and Sangiro is in San Francisco - it's like 3pm over there. Anyway, Sangiro is on Africa time : you got the watch, he's got the time. /s
  9. Ok, now I'm confused and scared, would the REAL jumpergirl please start posting...
  10. Hey Sangiro, you're not on (newbie) status, so what the hell are you doing posting to this thread? Sheesh, just cause the guy owns the site he thinks he can... ummm - I think this is going to hurt (again)
  11. jaaaaaaaaaaymeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! How the hell are you? How was your weekend?, did you jump huh, huh? Please tell me all about it, I'm going to pull a sickie tomorrow so I might just spend the whole night on-line (so I can see the fun you guys have while I'm normally asleep). What do you think of the new Forum? /s
  12. Yeah, I once got bumped from flights twice, and when I got to the other place some of my kit had been stolen. Then I was in poo even though I wasn't even on the same plane as all my kit. The army - go figure... Hurry up and post /s
  13. Thanks for the URL, dude. Enumerating just gets easier and easier for the script kiddies like me.
  14. You raise a VERY good point there sir. A fine example would the survival pack of 5 videos : pack like a pro, fly like a pro etc. Those 5 videos are all extremely short. I do not have a problem with that, but why not put all 5 movies on one cassette and pass along the saving to us the consumers? This is only one example. I do not either buy into the Supply and Demand approach used by skydiving video retailers. I appreciate that my Pro-track cost a lot of money because it is a specialized piece of equipment and sales will be limited. But selling a half hour to one hour skydiving video for $30 plus??? I put it to you that this verges on exploitation of us, the starving skydiving masses.
  15. Sorry, diver123, we were posting at the same time. You are right, and Frank is right when he says we should learn from accidents to prevent them from ever recurring (and compounding the tragedy). I think that article annoyed me a bit, and I should have more consideration for the man who died and his family. skreamer
  16. No need to suspect I know nothing about journalism, I don't and that is a moot point. I respect the fact that you work in journalism too (albeit a different medium), but I still have an issue with the opening sentence of that article (not the whole thing). If you would care to scroll up and have another look you will see that that is quite clear. It was perhaps unfair of me describe the article as 'crap' based on the attention-seeking opening sentence. But I still have a problem with it. I respect the fact that you feel all articles (negative or positive) should be posted in the interests of education and prevention. I, however, see it from the viewpoint of the whuffo thinking about trying skydiving and viewing this site for more info. This site is not only meant for experienced jumpers and a little discretion wouldn't hurt. That article would. /s
  17. Yes, Aggie, but did you ever subsequently go out and buy the original CD? How about if people starting ripping skydiving movies and trading them using Wrapster? Then skydivers would be screwed out of royalties, but the person downloading the movie could use your logic to justify it. There, sir, I await your rebuttal with fingers poised over keyboard and buttocks clenched. (sorry but Wingnut's spanking post got me all excited)
  18. Dude, forget pie, when Sangiro gets back from lunch and sees this special little *thread* he is probably going to kick me in the goons.
  19. Yeah cyberskydive, you so knew it wasn't going to be IIS. Now if only more companys would use MS Proxy (poxy?) Server... }> /s
  20. Hah, weakling, you run off now. I WILL persevere, gee what do you think I get when I am off (newbie) status? I am so excited, just gotta keep posting.
  21. How do you guys feel about Napster? Good, bad or don't give a hoot? How would you feel if you were one of the artists whose tracks was being downloaded? Many artists are pro-Napster because the labels take the biggest cut anyway. /s ps picking a fight didn't work, so now I am trying the *mature* route to generate some replies
  22. You guys should have a listen to 'Oxygen' by JJ72 (v. good young irish band). It is my prediction to be the next tandem video anthem (like you *really* wanted to hear Van Halen AGAIN). You can get it off Napster, speaking of which...
  23. Tell me about it - could getting off (newbie) status be the Holy Grail of the net? Years from now we will tell our children of how we searched for it and replied until our mice could click no more, all to no avail. Actually, I am coming down with the flu, so I think I will take the day off work tomorrow and just keep on posting to this thread. And I am just about sad enough to do it too... It's a pity because I had been planning on saving all my sick leave for the summer, what a waste!
  24. Any idea who is hosting the site? The download speed is pretty sweet.
