  2. Did I see correctly that the featured ALS sufferer, who did a tandem skydive, had a tandem master holding Silver in his mouth? Tandem Cutaway? It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  3. If they push it one more day to Saturday very early morning; I'll probably drive the 2+ hrs to Titusville at 10pm. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  4. On the roof of a 5-story apartment building (we were covered in tar the next day). In the hotel stair well while the company christmas party was going on in the next room. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  5. We're in a 2nd floor condo, I love that 6-7 months of the year we have the A/C off, every window wide open, and fresh air. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention

  7. Yeah, lovely My wife's nephew is in Jacksonville with us for a month. We drove 2 hours each way Sunday and Monday for no-launch. Today with work we couldn't drive and the manage to launch. Sigh. This is the only chance this kid is going to have to see a shuttle launch in his life and it was even so cloudy in Jacksonville that we couldn't see the trail from our patio like we have before. boo. hiss. 8. So the litmus test (so to speak) is a criminal conviction? This doesn't match well with "zero tolerance" ... which last I checked meant not having any subjectivity or allowances made for extenuating circumstances. No allowances for extenuating circumstances, to me, implies that we can't talk about the "musical legacy" of a pedophile, nor can we make a subjective judgement that convicted counts but suspected doesn't. Zero should be zero ... right? It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  9. I thought there was a zero tolerance policy on pedophilia on DZ.com. IMHO, this should include all discussions about the dead kid toucher. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  10. Let's just say that of all the things I really really like about my move to Jacksonville, the fact that I'm not single here is very near the top of the list. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  11. So I should argue for the extra 5 dollars... even if I don't get it... mere on the principle that the seller is wrong and I'm right... Good... I'll keep arguing... maybe I can waist enough of the sellers time to make me feel better... I'll just leave this here: http://xkcd.com/386/ It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  12. We recently had to adjust our budget downward; HBO was not cut due to Tru Blood and Showtime was not cut due to Weeds
  13. I am usually a strong believer in "book > movie adaptations" for all stories. I have to admit though that the mere presence of Anna Paquin puts that belief in doubt It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  14. Oh my. I can't even begin to think about this. This makes Ericsson's appendix surgery look mild by comparison. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  15. About midway through the 2nd period I looked at my wife and said that win or loose both Hudler and Stuart must go. Now that the game is over, I more than stand by that. I understand that hockey is a team sport, and there is blame to go around, but Stuart has had major brain farts the entire series. The turnovers in the 2nd tonight were inexcusable and in my opinion the cause of the loss. 17. I saw a couple of plays from Datsyuk to another Red Wing who didn't cleanly handle the play. It's almost like the team knows Datsyuk is at "75% (*)" and therefore not expecting him to be Datsyuk. In other words making small allowances for his injury. Datsyuk, himself, is making no such allowances, making the plays, and surprising his own guys. If we find out after the playoffs that Datsyuk's injury is still pretty serious, that would make his play the past few games even better in hindsight. (*) no one has said a number, so insert your own thought here It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  18. Bettman finally got his wish and his fucked up schedule finally caught up with the Wings big time; tired play led to stupid careless play with the puck, very poor D all around (including, surprisingly Lidström - I wonder how bad his injury was and how much it isn't fully healed), and terrible special teams. 19. Found this on the Pittsburgh Gazette site -- Pittsburgh, PA (UPI) - Gary Bettman, commissioner of the National Hockey League, said in a statement released today that he has formed a Select Committee to look into complaints about the officiating throughout this year's Stanley Cup playoffs. " I think the officiating in general has been excellent, but, as in any endeavor, when issues arise we have to address them." Bettman also said " I am particularly disturbed concerning the allegations that, during the game, the referees are scoping out hot chicks in the stands and putting their thumbs up their asses......that kind of non-vigilance cannot and will not be tolerated." Do you have a link for that? 20. That's Bettman's strategy. He looks at the NBA success with identifying players very young who turn out to be superstars (LeBron and Kobe) who not only carry their team but in some respects carry the league. I really think Bettman believes that if he can identify a 5-year old kid who turns out to be the next Gordie Howe or Wayne Gretzkey that the NHL will fully recover as a league. 21. Yeah, and if a Red Wing player had done that it'd be a 5 minute misconduct, ejection, and a suspension. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  22. IMHO, it's not the "non-calls" that are the issue and point to a possible conspiracy. It's the combination of the lack of consistency combined with the well timed non-calls. The other thing I noticed was the inexplicable number of times a linesman or ref was "accidently" positioned in a way to slow down a DRW pass or rush into the Pit zone. The refs could have called a number of interference calls on themselves. It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention

  24. Bettman has the intellectual capacity of shower mold. He is beyond terrible and without question the worst commissioner in all of pro sports. http://slapshot.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/05/27/the-morning-skate-the-final-sked-the-wings-injured-and-the-pusher/ http://www.freep.com/article/20090527/COL08/905270319/1053/SPORTS05 It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention
  25. Agreed and agreed. In addition, the Wings better have Datsyuk, Draper, and Lidström healthy. Sure at this point they can get past Chicago without them, but that's asking for a lot of hard minutes from the rest of the defence during game 5. That type of playing time and wear and tear will carryover to the finals. For the finals, Datsyuk was instrumental in shutting Crosby down last year and will be needed this year, even if he doesn't score much. Lidström is absolutely mandatory on the blue line to be healthy and very near 100% playing his normal high-20's nearly 30 minutes per game. Draper is the one of the three who could maybe be out, but having his face off skills would be extremely helpful. With out being healthy, the Wings are vulnerable.
