  1. Let me startout by saying a big THANK YOU to everyone for there concernand support for us during this time. Laurel thanks for keeping everyone posted on how others are doing. Words alone will never express how Chantelle and I have been touched by all of the people in the skydiving community. We will be heading back to Chalmette on Tues or Wed of next week so we can start rebuilding and get back to work. Will not have internet when we get there so will be out of touch with dz.com for a while but anyone who needs to get ahold of us can find us by way of Laurel. Once more Thank all of you for your offers of help and your prayers. Anyone in the chalmette area, if I can help let me know and I will give all that I can. Tony Collado & Chantelle
  2. you can add jj and mel to the list of safe pepole they posted in another thread and said they are fine quote from melstarr's post i want to first apologize for not emailing or PMing everyone individually or calling out via phone. as some of you know... either electricity is out (still in various sections of baton rouge & ALL of new orleans area) and the phone network is either down or overloaded. i'm on a very slow dialup connection in lafayette, louisiana.) jj & i are going to be okay, but it will take a while for all of our friends in new orleans & surrounding areas as well as coastal mississippi... as their homes have been completely destroyed in the flooding. thank you all for your thoughts and prayers in this tragic time. again i apologize for the short reply. love, hug & kiss you all so very much

  12. as the owner of a bigger than 190 main (230 op) i can see why some charge the extra dollar to me it is worth it my packers works hard and has never packed me a bad opening took me a while to get in his rotation since he has so many customers and so few packers at the dz I hate to pack and as long as can afford to pay someone else to do it and he does it right I will pay. if I do not like the pack job or feel it is not worth it then will pack it my self. as far as the reserve repack goes after a mal do not care if he pays or not cause if i feel it was his fault he will not be packing for me anymore anyway.
  13. do not know what it looks like but i kicked a my video guy once he was filming me on sit for me flipped over twice trying to hold it on the third time he was behind me must have got him in the head I felt it you can even see the camera shck when i hit him thought for sure had killed him from the pain in my foot he said was fine hardly felt it.
  14. the mil retired them but there are private companys that use them for heavy lift had one at jazzland few years ago to move a ride. cost a few thousand dollars to ferry it down but only couple hundred for the lift wonder if they would let you jump from them.
