  1. Try to think of it as "containment", rather than keeping pressure on it to keep the folds where you want them. You'll notice as you apply pressure to the folds, they just spill out the sides where you don't have ample containment. Man it up, but, there becomes a point that you put TO MUCH FORCE on the canopy and it falls apart, as you do your folds. Like one of the previous posters said: use your feet, elbows, knees.. and etc... Use them to help contain it.. Once I make a fold, I don't use anymore effort to hold it in place than it took to make the fold. Make your fold and place a body part over it or next to it, so it can't re-inflate. You don't need to press hard, just put something next to it so that it can't expand(IMO). There are lots of different folding methods used to place parachutes into deployment bags. Ask around your DZ. I'm sure someone there has a practical technique that will help you out.. There is also the "just suffer through it" method... The more you jump it, the more it will become packer friendly. The more you will learn how to get it in there... Good luck!!! Best wishes Make the most of what ya got!
  2. Buy a new line set and have your rigger put it on for you... Help him install it and he might take some of the money off the price and you'll learn alot about canopies in the process... Make the most of what ya got!
  3. He's still flying! Just a little higher! Make the most of what ya got!
  4. I agree... Simon Wade... He's the man to see. Great knowledge base. Real world applications. A great teacher, real world and fantasy! You can't go wrong with him. It's like he says. 5. I like that idea! I think I will Charge that from now on! Sometimes...... Hahaha Make the most of what ya got!
  6. No No No... Don't use it for any of that.... It's meant for one specific task.. It might work on other things. It might not. You can experiment, but, I think that others have though of it... If it worked in other areas they would recommend it... It might collect debrees... Might add to wear and tear. That's a hard one but, no I wouldn't put it on any of that... I'd imagine that each part will have an impact unique to it's design.... Maybe best not to mess around... Maybe not.. hmmm... I wonder what others think... Good question! Make the most of what ya got!
  7. Yeah, the RWS vectors.. I really only know about the tandems... There is a SB that requires them to be re-crimped to the spec. Over time the shrink wrap needs replaced... Ask this question.. Is it part of the manufacture approved specs? If it is then you need to do it. Some rigs, Maybe don't need it, Others proably do. Not up to you to choose. Follow their previous constructions, and info, unless otherwise notified. That would be my answer. Fixing it is easy... Crimping, Shrink wrapping, Easy with practice and know how... Ask your local master rigger Make the most of what ya got!
  8. Well if the parachute was manufactured back then it was probably from natural fibers... Prabably silk or something... You wouldn't trust your life to it that's for sure.... Make the most of what ya got!
  9. Knives are great anywhere. Where as many as you can!lol Two is a good number. Each in a different location. One up high, and maybe one down low. You never know. You might drop one, it's a good idea to have 2. I know a guy that dropped one and his 2nd saved his life.... Put them where ever is clever for you! Make the most of what ya got!
  10. I've seen some riggers take the catapult off. To pack it is NOT hard... It's pretty negligable... Not a hard thing to deal with..

    RADIX VIDEO DONE

Jimmy and all who read this. What a bad ass video!! This was certainly one of the BEST videos I have ever seen. BASE or SKYDIVING!!! The clips were awsome! It's amazing the stuff that was captured on video. Jimmy's personality showed through out, adding alot of charcter to RADIX. Some parts made me laugh, for a long time, some parts made my veins pump. The special features section was one of the funniest things I've seen in along time!!!(Where did all that come from?!?I have a couple ideas.) Just wanted to say great job. I just did my first BASE jumps right after watching that video. Awsome insperation! You guys RULE!!! The B-Team RULES!! Jump More, Bitch Less!!! Jonny Guru Make the most of what ya got!
