  1. I've only had a couple experiences ordering from Max, but both the lens and the customer service were great. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  2. I agree, the camped rocked! Thanks to all who put it together and participated. Learned a lot and had a great time. Looking forward to the next one. --Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  3. Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated. Think I'll just jump that bad boy and quit worrying so much about it. Iwan, great to hear from you. Hope to see you out our direction this season. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  4. From what I understand, any filter I buy for my SIGMA 15mm would be rear-mounted. My goal is to protect the lens by putting something over the front surface of the glass. Does anyone have any suggestions? Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  5. Cool. Thanks man. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  6. Has anyone done this? I have a PC 105 that is about to die and was going to upgrade to something else side-mounted. Maybe a PC 1000. I have a Rawa with a box for the 105. Is is possible to have them put a new box on or am I looking at buying a new helmet? Thanks, Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  7. I just bought one from Square2 at Skydive Arizona. Not sure if they have anymore in stock, but it might be worth giving them a call. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  8. I could be way off, but I'm not sure the NEOS is meant to be Icarus' top dog in terms of a competition canopy. Not to say that people won't be doing some pretty amazing things under them, just not sure if it's meant to supplant the VX. Can anyone comment? Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  9. Good stuff Mick! Thanks for all the help this weekend. I'll see you on Friday. --Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  10. Do you know if the NEOS is meant to replace the VX or is it meant to fit in somewhere between the VX and the Crossfire in terms of performance? Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  11. The concept of partial cross bracing does seem to be popular these days. Does anyone know the advantages of a partially cross-braced canopy versus a fully cross-braced canopy? Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com

Hey Trunk-- How's it going bro? I really dig mine too. I wasn't using the button on my CamEye so mounting the Hypeye was a bit more comfortable and it's nice and bright. Now take a couple days off from making them so we can get our jump on! --Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  13. Steve Curtis just put a great one on last month down hear in Eloy. Everyone in attendance seemed to have a lot of fun and learn a ton. I can't speak for him, but my guess is that he would be down for another when our season picks up if the interest is there. I'll definitely be trying to round some people up, which I doubt will be hard. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  14. I'd be interested to hear how the execution of your turn differs from Ian's (or someone else that starts in deep brakes). In particular, harness versus front riser usage. How does your usage of one versus the other change as the turn progresses from initiation to coming out on heading? I recently picked up an HMA-lined Velo 96. Obviously, it flys a hell of a lot differently than my Crossfire did so I'm playing with as many new techniques as I can come across to figure out what is going to work best for me under this wing. Thanks, Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  15. When I switched from 22 to 24-inch risers I noticed a difference, but it was small. I was also playing around with a few turning techniques that were new (to me) at that point though so it was hard to isolate any particular variable. The thought of being farther away from the canopy taking longer to recover just makes sense intuitively to me I guess. Longer risers giving the pilot more leverage and range of motion also makes sense. Thanks, Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  16. Off thread topic, but... I understand why riser length has an effect on recovery arc, but does it affect riser pressure? I'm not disagreeing, just trying to wrap my head around it. --Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  17. I'm looking for the same myself. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  18. LOL. Alright...so I have a little work to do. Thanks for getting me out there though. Despite getting slightly damp, it has been a lot of fun starting to play with the pond. Jeffro put up some gates in the main area a few days ago. Working on hitting these (not literally) has been a blast. Get down there this weekend and we'll tear it up! 19. Sweet. Please keep me posted. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  20. Yes! I have posted something about a ringsight quick release before. I would definitely use this. Some jumps I need a ringsight and others I don't. It would be great to get rid of it when not needed. Also, packing my helmet in a bag when traveling would be much easier if I could take the ringsight off...without my lazy ass having to take out three hard to reach screws. There are a bunch of ways you could do it, but the most straight forward would probably be to stick to a design that is similar to a camera quick release. The footprint would probably be smaller and the top plate would have a post to mount the sight. Scoop, if you end up making something like this, just tell me where to send the check and who to make it out to. --Keith Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  21. I set up way too far back given wind conditions, but hey...I ended up making it back to the grass. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  22. Cash flow permitting...that might be the solution. An FTP would be nice, but I still like the idea of being able to take a ring sight off though. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  23. Rawa with a PC 105 side mount and Rebel XT up top with a Schmacher Quick Shoe. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  24. I chalk it up to my lack of experience filming tandems and not explicitly shooting video when I'm freeflying. You raise a good point thoug, I might find myself in a different position down the road. But, I still see myself wanting to take my sight off when I throw my helmet in a bag and when I'm just doing a low key freefly jump and still want to catch video. Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
  25. I was just wondering if anybody had thoughts (good or bad) about making a quick release ring sight. When I am freeflying I'd rather lose the sight. But, when I'm shooting tandems I need it. Also, when I'm traveling it would be nice to be able to take the sight off. Yes, I'm a big baby and three screws is a pain in the ass for me. Is this something other people would be interested in?
