  1. "At F&D 2.5, you seemed to be enjoying the big flocks - especially that triple penetration. Anyhow, I really liked that video. " Nah, I was asked to video some of the big ways. I agreed only because I would be OUTSIDE the flock and even that wasn't much fun (FOR ME). With so many people wanting to take the video slot, I'm not doing that anymore. It seems TO ME that more and more flocks consist of too many camera flyers wanting to video smaller and smaller flocks i.e. four cameras videoing a four way flock instead of one to seven or two to six. I did enjoy doing the smaller stuff though, especially with Robi who was one of the very few who was willing to do small ways. 2. Scott I know I don't suck. The rest of the world sucks. Wait. didn't Dali say that? Well, something like that. I'll be there (instigating, conspiring and plotting) "ALL WILL BE FORGIVEN"? Anyways, who's asking for forgiveness. I only tried to clear something up. I didn't really say anything that I have to apologize for. If I am hated, well, so be it. One can't please everybody and one can't be liked by everybody. Mark Don't be scurd. Hey I might see you Sunday. Jarno Thanks bro. I'll watch the movie later, and PM you tomorrow. PS I HOPE NO ONE GETS ANY OF THIS THE WRONG WAY!!! NOTE ALL THE FUNNYT FACES!!! PEACE OUT!!! WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  3. Definately, count on me. I guess I can make an exeption I guess we kinda go back a ways. See you there buddy. WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  4. WOW I sense some (undeserved) hostility. Chuck "Dude, if you had bothered to make more than five skydives since I got here last July you would know that I am down with all kinds of wingsuit flying and fly on my back at least as much as I do on my belly. Please tell me you were just fucking around by even questioning what Jeff and I do here." I guess you either can't take a joke or didn't get it. With all the gay jokes on this thread I thought you would get it. The way you worded it ("I will take them big or small, flat or vertical, front or back.") I said "Are you talking about wingsuit flying or something else?Wink " (NOTICE JOKING FACE). I was trying to make a gay joke, but I guess i'm not good at it like some of the guys here. Oh, and when did I even mention Jeff? Jeff ""People who pigeon-hole themselves into two ways and small ways with the new guy will take them big or small, flat or vertical, front or back." Hey Omar what the hell kind of new age independent film bullshit flying you talking about here. Is this why I got booted from the team. I'm sorry I didn't pigeon hole you, what exactly is that? It's all O.K. because you respect my choices. Thanks buddy" HUH? What is so "new age independent film bullshit flying" about flying a small way? You and Ryan got taken out because there was no involment. You were too busy with your suit stuff and Ryan with packing. Ryan didn't seem to mind. I don't know what the big deal is anyways. It's just some website I made for fun. I'm not looking to win the Nobel prize here. Everybody You see this is exactly why I keep my postings here to a minimum. If you are not super specific, some gets offended and everything gets all blown out of proportion. I posted here to inform gump 1119 something specific, then Joni says something, then I have to say something in my defense, then Chuck says something ... well you know. Next thing I know I'm sucked in the forums BS. I don't know why I have to come here, explain myself and defend myself. All because I gave the new guy (gump 1119) my opinion. We should stop being so sensitve. There is more to life than this. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. I'll probably won't respond to anything after this. I hate typing. Later, Peace WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  5. "People who pigeon-hole themselves into one type of flying really are missing alot, aren't they?" No they are not. Like I said before, been there, done that, didn't like, moved on. We all know that MOST freeflyers are not into RW, MOST RW guys are not into freeflying, and so on and so forth. I respect everyone else's choices. MY choice is small ways. What is wrong with that. Evidently I am not the only one either. Hey Mark lets do some two ways and small ways with the new guy (gump 1119). You and I know what everyone else will be missing. ---"I will take them big or small, flat or vertical, front or back." --- Are you talking about wingsuit flying or something else? 6. I came from from a 182 DZ. And again those who know me know how much I miss being crammed in a 182 (strange but true), and those who know me (and Mark is one) also know that I am all about meeting, knowing and flying with "strangers and outsiders" and more than willing to fly with non-Floridians. I'd rather fly very small ways with the people that I'm not familiar with and find out their skill level than get myself in a big zoo dive with those same people and get myself hurt and taken out, something I learned last year in Puerto Rico. You shouldn't worry. I am sure there will be plenty of people wanting to do the big ways (just look at the list), who are into that or never done it and want to see what is like. But there is a small handfull of us (and a handfull is all we need) that has been there and done that who want to do small stuff. People who realize there is more to wingsuit flying than flocking. I am not trying to discourage anyone from big flocks. If that is your thing then good for you. To me flocking is like RW, and I never got into that. I tried it and didn't like it, I got into freeflying, something that I have translated into my wingsuit flying. This is all my personal preference. 7. HA HA I knew it wouldn't take too long. (you know what I mean) Last year i was the "instigator". Maybe I'll have my fun again this year. Maybe "we" should start a "no-flock all dock" list. Sorry Scott and Rob. WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  8. People who know me know how I feel about big static flocks. I don't wanna end up in some "200 way" either. That's why I haven't added myself to that long list. If can't get on a (very) small way or two way, i'm just gonna hang out at the DZ. So we have something in common. PS See attached pic. "I think so because the safety position for a wingsuit is more like a freefly than a rw dive. One of the nastier things that can go wrong on your early wingsuit dives is to get into a spin. I don't think it's a really big deal but in skydivers I've met who showed interest in wingsuits it's been a pressing concern that they expressed to me. The RW "instinct" I've encountered is to try to counter the spin, which doesn't work in a wingsuit due to the design of the suit and the restrictions it puts on you. Freeflyers, imo, are more likely to find it natural to ball up or fly out with their bodies and not fight the suit with their arms & legs. " Yeah. What he said. 10. "Aside from normal nicknames, I dont know a lot of wingsuiters with wingsuit specific nicknames... " I fly an Acro and I almost exclusively do "acro-bat"ics. Hence the name "Acro-Bat" WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds

You stole the words right out of my mouth. In addition, I've noticed several "RW" students flying their ws in a box-man position (due to muscle memory) and freaking out when a little unstable, making them go even more out of control. In my experience and opinion, freeflyers make better students. WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds

  14. I'm sorry Jason. You are my Texas homeboy but I have to agree with Jarno on this one (although I also do agree with what you said about "the pilot makes the performance for the most part"). I have said the same things over and over again. That is why I fly an Acro (and I am also considering weights for the rare and occasional flock). It is funny how in all other disciplines (especially RW, FF and CReW), skydivers wear different size suits and weights to compensate for each other's fall rate, yet most wingsuit pilots want to fly the biggest, floatiest fastest suits in big flocks just to suffer by flying dirty "like crap" to stay down, and then finally enjoy just a few seconds of high performance flying at breakoff. I am 5'8" - 145 pounds. Even when I used to fly a GTI, I had to fly like shit to stay down with the bigger HP suits. Anyone that has flown with me will agree (got lots of video too). My 2 cents. 16. I don't care what other people say. I am happy to see more and more people doing something else other than the typical (yawn) flocking. That Asscat move look like fun. I wanna try that myself if I can find someone either gay enough or confident enough with their sexuality. The video is one of the most entertaining videos I have seen in a while (except for the 'bat wing"). Keep up the good work you crazy kids. P.S. I hope you guys can make Flock & Dock 2.5. 19. Woah, dude, sorry to inform you of this but FreeFlocking is a registered trademark of mine. However I will be starting up The School of Human Aviation soon and you're more than welcome to apply for an Atmospheric Seagull(AS) license which will allow you the use of the trademarked term. HUH? Do a search on FreeFlockin (without the 'g' at the end) on this forum and Skydivingmovies.com and see how far back we (team O zone and Z-Flock) have been using this term. Do you teach dog fighting in your "School of Human Aviation"? What are the requirements for your "Atmospheric Seagull(AS) license"? 22. Nice! I will try that one as well. A few weeks ago Matt 'the111' and I did something like it, but instead of a front flip it was a barrel roll. We call it the Gravitron-with-a-twist. Practice your tricks and get them on video. I would love to see it and include it on our website if that is ok with you. WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  23. I' glad more people are showing interest in acrobatics. We (team O zone) and team Fly Like Brick have done some of those tricks if not close to them. Check out our websites theozone.tv and flylikebrick.com. Like I said before (in my acrobatic wingsuit review post): The eagle begins already head down so the eagle and the gravitron are not exatly the same. There is some variation. I didn't know what an eagle or a half eagle was until the gravitron came up. I also learned what an Immelman was which is also a similar move performed in airplane acrobatics. I think as in freeflying and aviation, wingsuit acrobatics should have their own names for their own manouvers. The same way it has been done in surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding,BMX, supercross, etc. Of course the are some obvious exeptions like the barrel roll and the front loop, etc. 1- Gavitron 2- Scary Roll (named after Scary Perry, the firt person I know to try this). Team Fly Like Brick calls it the Double Whammy. 3-5 I haven't tried. If you thought of it first (or think you did), pulled off the planned trick and got it on video or photo (sequence) before anyone else, I think you deserve the right to "re-invent the wheel" and name it whatever you want to name it. If we did not re-invent the wheel (in skydiving), we would be falling straight down not gliding. Don't let anyone tell you something is impossible. I was told Gravitrons were impossible when I first talked about it. Now many of my buddies love doing them. WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  24. theozone.tv website is finally up The website is mainly about wingsuit acrobatics but there are other features as well and there wil be more. Enjoy. BTW This is my post #100. Do I owe beer? WINGSUIT ACROBATICS team O zone ZF#5 , HISPA#70 Blue Skies... ...Big Fat Clouds
  25. The way that I control forward speed/fall rate (glide ratio) on my back (as Matt described) works perfectly fine for me, no muscle fatigue, piking or altitude loss here. I find so much control this way that I am also able to turn (up to 360's) on axis an stay relative to others. The picture of Loic that Scott posted is exactly the body position that I use. I have been playing with that before Soul Flyiers II even came out. Watching Loic do the exact same thing (minus 360's) only re-assured me that I have been doing the right thing.
