  1. those pics are how i look...albiet less pronounced than that. I have emailed the manufacterer....we will see.
  2. Have tried tightning, adjusting... hasnt worked. Ill post pics asap. I dont want the belly band because its just one more piece to secure. I bought a damn custom rig and paid top dollar, it ought to fit right!
  3. I have a rig that was custom made for me. When I sitfly, there is a large gap between my back and the rig, if i try to lean back a bit to drive forward, the rig suddenly moves against my back and changes the airflow/aerodynamics enough to make if very difficult to fly. I think cut inlaterals would solve the problem.... can I get cut-in laterals on a rig that is already made without them? The container manufacterer called and asked how I liked my rig after about two months of me having it, but I hadnt jumped it yet (winter) and coulndnt tell them anything. I will be sure to call them and ask, but untill then...anyone know of a quick fix? i dont want a belly band
  4. pick up flying...its not a substitute, but fun it its own right and will get you "up there". I will have my CFI in two months, If its something your interested in, Ill train you for free. hang in there
  5. hrmm, that comes out right about the time I plan on having 200 jumps... hrmmmmm
  6. hehe funny story.. i sold my helmet a few days earlier, and my new one hadnt arrived yet. I bought the new one so that I could have open face, but more importantly, because it had two audible pockets... but now that I have the helmet with two audible pockets, I only have one audible.
  7. It wont let me open the book....
  8. Im looking real hard...but i dont see any nipple rings on her....
  9. So, ive always been a fast faller, and have been working on slowing down. This past weekend I got a comment about me being "floaty" from a jumper who didnt know me, and had never jumped with me before.. im sure he had no idea what that meant to me, but i had a grin for the next 20 min. my protrack recorded my slowest average sitfly speed to date (too bad it sailed off 2 jumps later) Hard work pays off. now if I could only do everything else.....
  10. eep! somehow that loss makes me feel better.
  11. Damn that is the best feeling! yesterday, at skydive clevelands boogie, I jumped out of a balloon at alittle under 3k. It was better than I imagined. The still air, no relative wind, the stomach going up to the top of your head.... DAMN it was good. I think dropzones ought to have balloons in their fleet. I mean come on...a cheap used ballon is only like 10k Now I think I see a little clearer about why basejumpers jump.
  12. Weep for me. Ah, like a wise man said at the boogie, its only money. I guess its an excuse to try the neptune eh?
  13. I had a boomerang for my last 50 or so sitfly jumps. I sold it and now have an open face. with the fullface I didnt like: 1- the relative wind trying to tear it off my face when in sitfly 2- restricted vision 3-hott in the plane 4-it didnt have two audible pockets. So now i bought an Bonhead Optik and its all good.
  14. Just a thought to all those pilot jumpers out there... It is my understanding that you can loose your FAA ticket if you screw up by not obeying fars while jumping....whereas a normal jumper wouldnt be in such deep s***. it sounds so obvious, but I didnt really think about it untill someone pointed it out to me. has me re-thinking participating in "industrial haze" jumps.
  15. wow! not only a good trick but an awesome photo.
  16. I think I would like to have the portability, but dont need it. I think id rather have a very nice desktop setup with multi screens, etc.... good thing is im only paying for 1/2! hah!
  17. Its not about a long canopy ride. Its about a fun one. paragliders are high performance and can go UP they are just big ass barges. There is a big difference.
  18. Im going! yay thats 6 so far. We're ganna need crowd control.
  19. I would soooo buy one if they made a paragliding canopy for skydiving. The canopy ride is a blast! ....just dont use them for boogies...talk about congested traffic.
  20. I shoot and edit video of the ski clinics that I teach for local instructors. I have always used my IBM compatable laptop. I intend to start producing more than training videos, and want to get into producing "movies". I like apple for video stuff I really like the portability of my laptop though...I can edit on the road... is it true that apple computers' chips have different architecture and thus the same speed of two computers (one laptop one desktop) is really different? Im just wondering if building a laptop for video editing is a bad idea...but i really like the portability.... anyone?
  21. You BASTARD! Im happy you.... but dang I cannot wait... lets hope I get my UPT slot this fall... again, what a bastard!
  22. Definately a good point, but i feel confident I can handle it. I did 12 jumps in one day and I got there at noon...I packed for myself as well. I was sick of packing, but the jumping didnt do much to make me tired I dont think. If I do this, I will certainly hire a packer. and if I have to slow down and enjoy the coffee and only make 8jumps a day thats fine too...its all about having fun :} Right now im leaning towards lodi. I mean, 300 bucks round trip airfair (nonstop)...you just cant beat that!! even with the 300 bucks, the 13 dollar tickets more than make up for staying at home. all I need is a tent :} this is going to rock. I hope there is something special going on there during august 20th-29th. damn im getting hard just thinking about it.
  23. priceline gives 310 price for roundtrip from Cleveland to San Francisco. I would save 440 dollars if I paid 13 dollars instead of 16 dollars. leaving me with 130 dollars saved and I would get to visit california!!!! holy shit I am so doing that. I cant find much info about lodi on their website. What kinds of planes do they have and whats the jive there? Thanks peeps!
