  3. Conspiracy theories abound!? The question remains "Who is Spont!?"
  4. Your previous posts also point to a BM connection... Too many espresso's for me Decaf. from now on
  5. Ah sorry. Just that Jari's last post on this forum was on Sep 8th. Which funnily enough was the day that Spont joined and posted for the first time. (all within a few hours) Just a coincidence then...
  6. He had some assistance on the language front. Why are you in the closet anyhow?
  7. In a word: "NO!" BOC only (with the exception of leg pouch for those who know what it is and understand the pros & cons) Lots of information on this forum if you use the search function. Check out: http://www.flybirdman.com Also check out the V-1 manual on http://www.phoenix-fly.com/articles.htm I have a friend who jumped pull out once with his ws. It resulted in a PC in tow. He managed to clear it by going headdown. Not cool. Short canopy ride.. Long flights, J edited for link error
  8. Well you know, the designer is the same The V-1 manual covers a lot more material than the BM manual though. btw. 'sup Jari?
  9. Great manual - lots of useful information
  10. I got a sneak preview of the prototype suits Robi is working on. They are looking super sweeeet
  11. I took a buddy up for his first flight a few years back. Flight went sweet. When we got down I asked him if he enjoyed it. He responded: " The flight was great - but look at my arm!!" He had unzipped in a rush, catching his skin. Then, rather than taking the zip back down to release the skin - decided to do the band-aid all in one removal technique It was not pretty, he drew blood! I find pulling the zip away from my arm slightly as I unzip helps avoid this problem. Long pain free flights, J
  12. ...if you fold the PC with the wrong proportions. Regardless of your PC size you should be able to find a way to proportion your folded PC "dildo" so that it fits snuggly in the pouch. (ok, unless you are jumping a drogue ;) J
  13. Gonna be a tough choice at Christmas... the playstation 3 or...?
  14. I'm sure Chuck or Ed can clarify. Are there any photos of the new .Phi so we can see the new design?
  15. BM obviously changed their minds then From BM press release after Robi left: http://www.flybirdman.com/news/070204.html "What about Phi? Because Phi was a project that was conceptualized with Robert in place, I have decided to discontinue it to allow us to begin working from a clean slate. This is unfortunate in the small picture, but will benefit those who are patient in the long run. Every designer has his or her own way of creating. I prefer to brainstorm with my team after I have an idea, then I encourage the process to expand from there with no limits. I want to give the next .Phi. the same opportunity while also profiting from fresh ideas from the new team. More info soon! "
  16. I don't find it strange, maybe people just want to meet and fly with Robi, like you said yourself in your post a few months back: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1353422;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread J
  17. I asked Robi why he didn't attend the Deland event and the PIA - he responded that his priority at the moment is Phoenix Fly and getting the V-1 production up to full speed. Tough decisions. Besides, Robi wasn't the only significant person missing from the big way. J
  18. *dong* Version 1.1 is 99.5% the same as 1.0. I updated the photos and list entries, thats all. Hence why I haven't posted about the update. Next time I will include a "changed in this update" section. I have some other documents in the pipe line on "Hip transfer exits" and "Maxing out for glide", stay tuned. Long flights, j
