Here the thing.... From what I saw it doesn't look right, and I am confident he will get his day in military court, However: Reports are in that many of these "insurgents" are commiting war crimes far greater than we may think. They are, Waving white flags and pulling out guns when the US approaches. Using human shields. Playing dead and waiting for troops to pass bye and then shooting them in the back. Boobytrapping dead bodies with granades. Hiding in Mosques. The list goes on. Because of this our Young Men and Women are on edge. Never knowing what trick the enemy is up to. Because of that they have become jaded and over cautious, right or wrong. Sure there was blood coming out of the guys mouth and he appeared to be critically wounded, but I don't know the whole story and neither do you. Was he faking? I doubt it, but when the soldiers walked in the room 5 mins before was he faking dead then? What did he do that caused the soldier to not trust him in a wounded condition. Here in NY it has been law for a while.... The big problem was about 5 yrs ago they passed a law which said you could have smoking provided it was in a closed off area. So, a mojority of busness owners invested a shit load of money into building walls and seperate smoking areas.... costing them billions across the state. 3 years later they make an outright ban!!!! Yes, looking at the 2000 elect the Popular vote was very close, and hence the courts and the appeals ect.... However, with a margin of 3 million this time, a much larger spread, I don't think the courts would have heard the appeal. What you say may be true, however, I think Powell is looking to possibly go into the private sector and make some coin now. It is as you know pretty typical for the administration to break up in the second term of a presidency. Now, I still feel Bill Clinton may have more clout than Condi will or Powel did. I am not a big fan of Clinton, but let's face it... There are many machine which give a paper reciept.... two copies are made and yours, and one for the machine. When looking at just yours, it looks like a bunch of black dots.... when paired with its other half the two combined would read what your cast vote was....
