  3. How'd he get pregnant too? That's going to be some weird birth I think Congrats! illegible usually
  4. While I do not believe in satan (so there's no way I could be a satanist), that pretty much sums up my beliefs... illegible usually
  5. Alright, I know all that. a) I was trying to be funny b) I cant imagine anyone actually posing a real threat by trying to light vasoline with a match - sure it will burn but it's kinda slow to get going. I think we are getting to the point where we really go oveboard for a couple of loons illegible usually
  6. I'm still trying to figure out how vasoline can be threatening outside of a prison kinda context illegible usually
  7. I read it involved a screwdriver, vasoline and some matches. No, I'm not joking. illegible usually
  8. As for the timing... http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14320452/ illegible usually
  9. Articles from the local fish wrapper re: the State's attempt to eliminate skydiving in Creswell. I wish them both the best of luck. http://www.thecreswellchronicle.com/news/story.cfm?story_no=2564 http://www.registerguard.com/news/2006/08/08/c1.cr.dropzone.0808.p1.php?section=cityregion illegible usually
  10. I'm with you - I want to wait and see if this was really all it's being hyped to be. illegible usually
  11. If the same tax rate was applied to every item imported (either by individuals or corporations, including both raw and finished goods), I'd back it 100%. Consumption should be taxed. BTW: I would also define corporate takeovers/mergers as a sale and levy the going rate on the transaction value. illegible usually
  12. Not quite so simply, but yes, I do. In addition - in my world - I would tax companies that outsource at a higher rate than those that use domestic labor. I would definately require some sort of payroll tax on all non-domestic payroll and not allow these expenses to be deducted from corporate profits for tax purposes. illegible usually
  13. Don't forget that labor follows the same supply/demand laws as everything else. You might not be able to hire qualified people if you take those actions (maybe you couild find a few mexicans to import though...) Businesses pay salaries and benifits because the LABOR market demands that they do it. Not because they are really nice paople. If they CAN cut pay and benifits, it's already been done. illegible usually
  14. There's also this http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&itemId=93120&catGroupId=34401&modelNo=AG-HVX200&surfModel=AG-HVX200 Anybody got 6G they can spot me? illegible usually

  16. I've mostly quit posting here but still lurk. To those of you that are still ragging on Jarrett remember this - he's straight up with you, doesn't inflate his #'s or his age so he looks better, stays here despite the abuse you've given and truely asks questions to learn. In that he shows more maturity that many 30 something's with twice as many jumps or more. IMO only those of you that have never committed an unsafe skydive are qualified to rag on this kid. illegible usually
  17. Must have been the 'shrooms from his younger days... http://www.abc.net.au/science/news/health/HealthRepublish_1682610.htm illegible usually
  18. Update on the Otter. It will be losing it's 69th Special Orgy Group [(C) Amazon] designation and is nearly repainted. Sorry no new photos of the new paint scheme but it's nice. Not exciting, but nice. Mostly white with a black belly and some accent stripes. Maintenance is nearly complete and she should be flying jumpers soon. illegible usually
  19. This shoudl make the situation MUCH better though... Even though the paint is a bit faded, I do like the history of this bird... illegible usually
  20. Hop 'n Pop's have always been allowed. Jump prices quite honestly aren't the best currently but as of late it's really been little more than a tandem DZ. Not from desire, just due to capacity. With all the tandems, it is hard to even get on a load unless you are flying video. (right now it's just a single 182 doing all the work) Even though I love the place, I'd have to say to any jumpers that it's probably not worth it until the twin otter starts flying. I'll keep you posted... The web site is www.skydivetoledo.com for info on pricing. illegible usually
  21. Only think that's permanent is death, but I think we should be able to keep it for a while. Don't know if it will get a lot of loads off in December in the Northwet, but we'll see... It's here for the summer at least, come on out and Jump. illegible usually
  22. WOOOOO-HOOOOO! We finally have a "real" airplane! The otter has arrived and is just waiting for some minor (required) preventative maintenance and it's check up from the mechanics to start flying jumpers. It's expected to be flying jumpers by July 1st. Photos to come later. Red
  23. Yes, Hell has aparently frozen over and Mike has pulled the right strings to get a -100 Otter in Toledo this year. We are waiting for the bird to be given the all clear from the Dr (it was out of annual) to take back to the skies. If everything goes well it should be flying soon. The otter is the one that we had at the Threshing bee boogie in 2004. It's not a Super otter, but for us it's still pretty super. (Esp when compared to a 182!) illegible usually
  24. Good luck! Does this mean you'll come see us in Toledo when Mike gets the Otter? Red illegible usually
