  1. what happens when you stuff the russian 8-way team and their trainer into an AN2 can be seen here enjoy i also put up some AN2-pics from slovakia on the same webpage The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  2. most of the freefliers i know are really crappy on their bellies. if you take a chance and invite them for some belly-fun they are constantly backsliding and afterwards they complain that we can't hold the place some of these guys can't even fly a decent track maybe i'm old fashioned but i think good old rw is the base to develop other styles. at least you lern how to behave in the close proximity to others The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  3. over in ther german forum we are having some discussions wether a mamba (like the 117 sqft model) might be suited for ws-flying or not. if find the thought very disturbing (to be straight forward: i think its ridiculous), others don't seem to think of it as a problem at all. so i'm shopping for some thoughts from you experienced guys. thx for input The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  4. just got the pic from the blind girl i jumped with - just had to share it The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  5. who is "us"? as for "credible info" - there are various reasons for not completing a profile and for leaving certain elements blank. one of them being trolling. you still have the opportunity _not_ to respond to certain threads The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  6. two weeks ago we had a group of four (3 guys one girl) blind passengers plus one of their trainers. the three guys were completely blind, the girl had something like 5 percent vision (dark-light sensibility only in the near proximity) left. i had the pleasure to jump with the girl. we took a lot of time for briefing & the gear up. we also "showed" the our systems, let the participate in the packing process and all of the were extremely interested in the details. also extra time was spent with boarding - feel where the door is, where to sit, what was not to touch (well eventually they had to touch it, so they knew where not to put hands/hold on once in flight) etc. on the way to alti i tried to describe what was outside - that was about the hardest part. exit and freefall were without any hassle - i wish some of the seeing passengers had so much awareness
  7. what did you puton video - the valkyries? The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  8. Bump & Update Just last weekend i had the opportunity to use & jump with y-mod equipped passenger-harnesses. handling and fitting is easy (in fact a no-brainer), the only difference is how the pax can move once the canopy is open. with the old setup you could tell your pax to move their legs slightly backward enabling them to sit more comfortably, with the y-mod this isn't possibly any more... 9. An Aboriginal elder, sat in his humpy eyeing two government officials sent to interview him. One official said to him, "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances. You've seen his progress, and the damage he has done." The elder nodded in agreement. "Considering all these events," the official continued, "in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?" The elder stared at the two government officials for over a minute, then calmly replied: "When white man found the land, Aboriginals were running it. No taxes. No debt. Plenty kangaroo. Plenty fish. Women did all the work. Medicine man free. Aboriginal man spent all day hunting and fishing, all night having sex." Then the elder leaned back and smiled before adding, "Only white man bloody stupid enough to think he could improve system like that." 11. just drop a note to eli_at_fallschirmshop.at i know she's got at least two different kind of these stamps note: the stamps will be way cheaper than the postage you'll have to pay from europe to usa The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  12. *scratchinghead* i just wonder if the old saying, that anything over a mouthfull is wasted, also applies to male sexual organs *scratchinghead* The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  13. ditto what else: • like in every other group there's a bunch of people whose egos are bigger then their knowledge/abilities • that most newbies in her are to lazy to use the search function • personally: that sifting through tons of trash is worth the gems of knowledge to be found The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  14. passengers didn't mind in the past, they don't mind now & they won't mind in the future.... been there done that. just to be told to mind my own fuckin business. now we have a solution to a problem that wouldn't exist if some TI's had a different attitude ("I'm a mean mofo of a meathauler, ya know?....... ) towards their students/passengers and towards safety issues beyond getting stable with the help of their drogue The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  15. so UPT came up with something similar? The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  16. As some of you might have noticed Strong came up with a modification their passenger harness. Obviously a reaction to the last tandem fatality. On the positive side: With this modification the chance of a passenger slipping out of a harness is eliminated. BUT: The problem wouldn't have to be solved if TI's were dressing up their students properly in the first place . and i bet I'll still see sloppy geared up passengers in the company of variously rated TI's this summer Now for the "negative" side: With this fix lard-assed people won't fit into the harness, thus no more extreme overweight passengers so what do you think about it? 17. i stumbled over skratch's homepage a few years ago - ever since he's one of the people i'd really like to meet and jump with (that doesn't meen theres not a bunch of others i'd like to meet in person). even if it means travelling to the states so you're a lucky man to know them The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  18. that was what i also came across. seems like one of my favorite skydiving sites has become defunct. what a loss edit: thx for your search

  20. First thing to learn and accept before even thinking of becoming a TI: Change this attitude. I am serious. PERIOD! The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  21. we had our safety day yesterday and used portions of your presentation - thanks to your in depth analysis we had some intersting discussions involving newly minted and seasoned jumpers. oddly enough even "old timers" have some serious issues regarding separation questions The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  22. as my career as a TI started last year, the answer would be: none so far. but as a vidiot i have seen my fair share of pax' that weren't enjoying their ride thats what I use to tell the nervous ones The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  23. fine that everbody thinks i am a complete nutter - i just had the impression it would be easier to do all the renewal stuff online - since this is not possible i was just ranting. ok? btw: i have nothing to hide concerning my ratings. over & out The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  24. i just wanted to renew my membership online - only to find out that to renewing ratings requires a print out of a pdf-form to be sent via mail so much for easy renewal /rant/venting done/ The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  25. to be more precise: a pax knows before bording, that he has the opportunity to stay with me in the plane if he/she doesn't want to jump. i ask them once on the way to alti if they want and once when the doors opens. the only reason to go with a pax yelling "NOOOOOOO!" is when we are already in the door - then it's too late baby.......
