  1. Leg? Still feel it. But it is cool. Was that my fault? If I didn't see you, you werent there. Oh well... Yah, his wife. Community Bicycle. Everybody got a ride. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  2. Hmm. I think it is time to go to the five and dime. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  3. Yah Kapow has a "couple" Let's start from little to big Xaos 21- 21... heh heh. 20 plus easy Oh yeah Kelly has one of his own design tucked away somewhere too, I think it is about 20 sf also. Needs more R&D though. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  4. I was on a Caravan (Grand) that stalled. We all fell off as his wing started to dip. Not pleasant for the pilot. But Yah, they stall too. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  5. Uh, that's an easy one. Go buy a burger, get her number and YOU do some of the work. Sheesh, sounds like she's done enough. She doesn't want a guy that is scared to put some effort into it. Failure is success, try it. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  6. I think... It was a bunch of skydivers that didn't go to the Lost Praire Boogie. Thus Geeks. So the weekend of the Lost Prarie Boogie, they had the Geek Br's, for the geeks that didn't go to the "real" boogie. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  7. [reply[ experienced jumper (300-500 jumps) that was making his 3rd jump on a new Stiletto 135(exit wt 200+). This jumper was known for making aggressive hook turns on landing. At about 300 feet, he did a snap toggle hook that was hard enough to induce line twists. Yeah, that was Kyle, he had a good canopy, and did the above. And the rumor you mentioned, not a rumor. This is personal for Jeff buddy. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  8. hmm. Well he is truly a moron. But oh well. There are lots of em in the world. It is funny the crap he pulls, really twisted. But his time will come. I am sure he lurks here too. The DZO did talk to KIRO about the story, but they just want something good to talk about, so they will run it the way they want too. But I would be surprised if they DIDN'T run the DZ's side of it. Just because they want something else to talk about. Dumb news. As far as sabotaging his plane. Sorry, it is a beautiful stagger wing Beach. I couldn't bring myself to hurt something like that. I am sure it will be around long after he isn't. As the DZ turns... ---------------------------- bzzzz
  9. Some dick head that is a wackado, like you have never known, is trying to shut down Kapow. This has been going on for years. BAD He constantly videos everything. Even normal airplane op's. Has a restraining order against him for filming one specific person. Has gone to amazing lengths to hurt us... Here is the latest http://www.kirotv.com/news/1979634/detail.html Done total bull stuff to endager our pilots. Now this. All in all, he is showing his colors. But it is so comical. OH, if you see this "special report" it is crap, he was circiling, listing to the jump frequency, then when he knew jumpers where out of the otter, he swooped under them in his plane. Sick Puppy. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  10. I talked to him today, said he wanted to jump it with smoke tomorrow. That might get old though. Every time he jumps it, it is a reserve repack. I think he might still play with the rc box though. it would be pretty cool. If he had the good parts, yah, he would prob build it. I will be out there tomorrow. Make it out if you can. Beautiful day today, hope tomorrow is the same. j ---------------------------- bzzzz
  11. I'll give you some of Andy's flying impressions. for the hell of it. Not that he feels it is a viable, landable canopy, he is just playing around. Anyway, don't try this at home. But... He aint dumb. I am sure he had a couple hook knives strapped on. He also had the 21, a reserve, AND a Tursh, (round front mount reserve). He deployed quickly off the step at 10k, no slider. Said it was a nice opening. Super twitchy, of course. He did a couple 720's, it would vibrate, from the speed whipping through the lines and bag. Pro track seemed to think his speed was about 68 in full glide. They will download it to the software, and see what that says. He could hang in brakes, and Luke, on a 108 could spiral below him. Luke seemed to think that it was actually plaining out. hard to say though. They are going to try it with smoke later, maybe tomorrow, to see. It pretty much flew like a canopy. Chopped it , went to the reserve, and all was well. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  12. We were joking about making 'him' join USPA before he jumped. Still, that is why they deployed him at 500 feet, so he would have less opportunity to cause damage. It is cool video, the first one esp. It looked like a real skydiver, because the canopy is to scale. Would have been a scary thing to watch a person do what he did. They were also thinking about hooking him into the ground in classic femure, head trauma style, to show what not to do. Such possibilities when you have a willing crash test dummy. Money is no object, they'll get him figured out yet. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  13. Launch one. Luke jumped out with it in a back pack on his front, from somewhat a lower altitude than is reccomended. Anyway. The plan was to static line Xaos 21 dude from about 500 feet. Luke's landing was the most exciting part, tried to swoop the top of a pine tree, and brought some of it down with him. uh? He is a bit off sometimes. But always a good show. Anyway...Remote xaos dude opened with one line twist, then promptly spiral stalled into the ground. The brakes where set too tight. Second try, after one stripped servo was replaced, Luke got out with a bit more altitude. Had time to static line deploy him from a Classic in a good position. Andy got one turn out of it. Flew great, then went straight. Got stuck in a Pine tree, about 50 feet up. Tim Gramley volunteered to climb the tree to get him down. Skechy too. But he was returned safely, with two stripped toggle servo's Basically, it needs stronger servos, or some system so it doesn't thrash them. Anyway, Was cool. I think the real show will be when Andy can get full altitude. I am sure that will be a cluster too, but what the hell, birdmen do it, might as well try to fly a 21. I'll tell ya what happens on that one. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  14. Andy got a XAOS 21 21sf. I don't know why they really built it. Just to play with I guess. But is full on reinforced, just small scale. He threw it out of the plane a couple times today, with about 25 pounds on it. It flew nice. Tonight, he is building a remote control box for the toggles. Should launch tomorrow. Next, well, you know...once the overcast goes away, and he can get full alttitude. It should be interesting. Going to cutaway of course. I'll tell yah what happens. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  15. Sounds cool. But here is a thought Summer before last, we were all learning, and going to the pond. Some crashes and screwups of course. So Water was a good thing. But You can't always have that. Anyway, my thought. You mentioned airblades. After we stopped crashing, and got better, they put up airblades. Then everbody started biffing again. It is just that if you aren't really carefull, they add an element that can be very dangerous. I suppose it is that a swooper swooping blades for the first time tends to look at them, a distraction, that caused a number of wet rigs. So be careful with them, I don't think I would leave them up all the time either. Aside from what I mentioned, they will get trashed. Make sure anybody that goes there gets some real coaching from a heads up flyer too. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  16. for all of you canopy Nazis out there, I UPsized for my first jumps this year. To A 108 27 Xaos. First one was cool, stuck it in the tuffet, (Yes, HP Canopy can be Acuracy). Last one, I carved around the peas, bowtied it, 2 feet too early, and made a muddy mess of the container, and my backside. I tried to play it off as a reverse Deadman. Didn't work. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  17. no. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  18. Yah, they suck. Sport Rider ran a pic of Nick Ianesch (or however you spell that) flipping off the camera While on the back of Gary Rothwell's bike doing a Stoppie with a third passenger. All the readers whined and cryed about how bad that was, and that Sport Rider was trying to become like a Euro mag. Duh? Heaven forbid. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  19. Is that a copy of the PD Silhouette? Oh brother, I miss a couple letters in a word, and the sky begins to fall. Hmm. See, I think writeing should be a free form expression, allowing the essence of thought to flow, to get to the depth of meaning, to reach understanding beyond mere words. That or I can't spell. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  20. COED? hmm. is that a CoDe Copy? Buddy of mine has one. He can land it, but he has to nail the flair. So, if it is similar, to make it work, yah, you have to flair just right, not as much margin for sloppiness as a newer zp. I jumped a turbo z once too. Ach! The girl's who it was was trying out mine, to see what a safire was like. I think that was the last day she jumped her turbo z. A world of difference. She bought a sabre, and suddenly realized her crashing on landing all the time wasn't always her fault. As far as hybrid. PD Siloettes are, and they are a rad canopy. New canopy dude. Not that what you have is bad, just that a well used sabre with a good line set will make you feel like a swoopmaster. c O ---------------------------- bzzzz
  21. For some reason we got the bright idea to run down the Corkscrew at Laguna every year. Then it turned into kissing the corkscrew. It is a ball, hiding in the bushes dodging security, then making a break for it. Never been caught, but real close. Yah, World Rally is Nuts ---------------------------- bzzzz
  22. That is the deal, you only get nailed with double tax, if you have dividends. Since you would be small, privately held, you are not going to a bunch of crying stockholders saying you have to pay them dividends. So, the accounting isn't really that creative. With a "C" it is an entity of itself. It needs a place to reside, and someone to do things for it. So it pays to have those things done. It is different than modern man in that it; makes money, spends money, then is taxed on what is left. Normal joe makes money, gets taxed and spends what is left. There is a bunch of stuff A very good book is "Inc. and Grow Rich" Sage international in Nevada incorporated me. Mine is a Washington corp, I didn't see the need to go Nevada or Deleware, yet. an "S" Corp is different yet, and better for some people, things, but it has kind of been gutted of it's good tax stuff. There is a lot too it, but it is a cool study. If you are interesed get that book. Off to home ---------------------------- bzzzz
  23. Now your talking. "If you incorporate, you will be double taxed." He he. That is what everyone told me. Wrong, I have been self employed forever, incorporated to a C corp a couple a years ago. It Rocks. Yes, you are talking to a big time President of a corporation of one employee. It is fun too. If that makes any sense If you need any advice, PM or email. ---------------------------- bzzzz
  24. You don't like 2 strokes? Blasphemy. I have had a ypvs rz 350 for years. I love the smell and spazzy power. I have never raced, but when I was younger, I used to have holes in all my jeans from dragging my knees around on the street. Dumb. But a blast. Love that RZ. Still have it, but have slowed down immensely. Does hellacious wheelies still though. We go to Laguna Seca almost every year for the WSB. I do like the 500's though. A dying breed, but cool. ---------------------------- bzzzz
