  1. This would be evidence that natural factors rather than CO2 is causing ice melt. Arctic sea ice loss stops, global temperature rise slows/plateaus while CO2 levels hit new record highs year after year.
  2. No I question the notion that CO2 is the primary driver of planetary climate, and that a more salubrious climate is a bad thing.
  3. Let’s be clear. Are you saying that melting at the South Pole has the same climate impact as melting at the North Pole ?
  4. I am still waiting for the four horsemen of the climate apocalypse (floods droughts hurricanes and wildfires) to rear their ugly heads.
  5. Wow guys that is all very scary but can you tell me how arctic sea ice extent has any relevance to anything?
  6. I am not familiar with his history. The video appeared to have been well sourced.
  7. View “Arctic ice refuses to melt” and tell me where he goes off the rails
  8. We seem to be having difficulty separating message and messenger. What part was made up?
  9. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCprclkVrNPls7PR-nHhf1Ow
  10. Seventh lowest, wow that is terrifying! Where do I sign up for a carbon tax? BTW I didn’t change my story, I added to it.
  11. I was referring to the two feet of snow Colorado got on the first day of summer. I’m guessing someone will tell me this http://maritimebulletin.net/2019/07/19/icebreaker-turned-back-encountering-heavy-ice-in-ice-free-arctic/ is from global warming as well.
  12. Y’all might want to bone up on a little sumthin I like to call “Dew Point” before getting all nasty w me.
  13. Yes it is true that warm air can hold more moisture, it is also true that that moisture laden warm air cannot produce snow. (You need cold to make snow)
  14. You forgot about the record breaking/ road closing snow out West!
  15. That award was for a six year old car. Here is an example of the current crop of Teslas https://futurism.com/tesla-employees-electrical-tape-fix-model-3
  16. I’m glad you said “until the scales are evened out”. I can assure you, as soon as renewables contribute more in taxes than they receive in subsidies I will end my jihad on things green.
  17. I am not against renewables. If they can stand on their own without government support, I am all for them. I have a problem with billions of dollars being wasted on the insane notion that we have to “save the planet” or that we will run out of fossil fuels in the foreseeable future. Oh, and before anyone can say “ what about fossil fuels? They get subsidies” I am against those as well. BTW same goes for Tesla. They have amazing ground breaking technology, I just don’t think the taxpayer should help upper middle class folks pay for their toys when the money would best be spent by helping the poor
  18. I am laughing at the notion that we are at the dawn of a great green energy transformation. Interest and investment are drying up as the world starts to recognize the limitations of renewables. My favorite line was “at this rate, it will take 400 years to convert to renewables” To answer your point, yes the broader market is strong now but the market for green energy is headed in the same direction as the market for buggy whips.
  19. Then there’s this https://www.technologyreview.com/f/613938/clean-energy-investments-are-plummeting-bloomberg-bnef/ “Worldwide funding of clean-energy projects fell to its lowest level in six years, in a staggering blow to the battle against climate change” ROTFLMAO!
  20. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/magazine/wp/2019/07/10/feature/how-saikat-chakrabarti-became-aocs-chief-of-change/ Looks like the GND is more about “a fundamental transformation” of the economy rather than saving the planet.
  21. Bill I cannot agree with this more strongly. I witnessed this exact phenomenon at Penn State. As “the man” pressed his boot more firmly on the neck of the student body, the student body rebelled. We never had riots when students were allowed to smoke weed and drink beer on campus, however when a dry campus environment was imposed, all hell broke loose.
  22. There are so many false premises in that video it is hard to count but I will try to list a few. 1. The stock market loves high job numbers (the market often reacts negatively on a positive job numbers report as it raises the specter of higher interest rates) 2. Holding multiple jobs is an indication of financial stress. (Most people take on a side gig for EXTRA money, not just to get by) 3. A second job in one’s area of expertise is a further indication of financial stress. (Both my wife and I have had consulting gigs in addition to our full time careers) In order to compare today’s economic reality with other periods, our benchmarks have to remain consistent for a valid apples-to-apples comparison. The video was a hot mess of misinformation and faulty logic.
  23. Here’s a fact for you https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2019/02/11/Survey-Americans-optimism-about-personal-finances-at-16-year-high/9351549904488/
  24. 60% don’t And that 40% is better off now than they were three years ago. 200,000+ jobs created in June and real wages increased as well. Not to mention what the record stock market has done for the 401Ks of ordinary working Americans
  25. Hey, they still have Northern Ireland
