    Phoenix???

Hey, I am not saying that AZ city = Phoenix. Just relating my experience, helping out a brother, ya know? But to clarify, the housing prices I was talking about refer to Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, parts of Mesa, maricopa. Life out in the tumbleweeds is far better than life in the city as far as I am concerned. But maybe that is just me. jeff D-16906

    Phoenix???

I moved here from Massachusetts 2.5 years ago. I came in search of better weather, and a flying career. I have found all that I was looking for, and as a result I am extremely happy with being out in the desert. I live in a little town called Arizona City, it is about 10 minutes from the dz in Eloy. I can see canopies from my pool in the backyard! My wife is a realtor here, and the best thing about Phoenix is that there is an abundance of good deals on homes all over the valley. You can get an extremely good deal on a brand new house near Phoenix. You can get a 1700-2000 sq foot house, 4 bedroom 2 bath, garage kind of place BRAND NEW for 200k. The further out from Phoenix, the less the price is. There is ample inventory, so there are discounts all over the place. It is certainly the buyer's market. And I am talking about NICE neighborhoods. It is fucking hot here in the summer, there is no doubt. It sucks, dont let people tell you different. Screw all that "dry heat" crap you hear...it is hotter than hell. But the unbearable part of it lasts for about 3 months, July, August, September... so I look at it like winter back in Mass. Only difference is you hibernate from the sun, not the snow and ice. Ac and a pool is all you need. It is good out here, come on out and check it out. If you need any more info, or help with real estate or anything, pm me. jeff D-16906

  12. Yeah, that boat can be seen in the movie "The Island" 2005, Ewan Mcgregor and that hottie...Scarlett Johannsen. according to imdb.com : "The black yacht in the dreams of Lincoln 6 Echo, shown later in the film (the Renovatio) is the Wallypower 118 super yacht. The boat is build almost entirely out of carbon fiber, Kevlar and glass with a teak-deck. The boat features 2 Cummins engines, each delivering 370 BHP. In addition, 3 Rolls Royce gas-turbine engines provide the speed of 60 knots cruising speed. Boat value is $25 million." Nice boat, but it still doesn't fly... you could have a really nice Cessna Citation for that price, or 3 or 4 less nice ones... ahh dreams... jeff D-16906
  13. Holy crap, it is N5542B! I have about 100 hours flying that thing out at Gila Bend, AZ last summer. You might be sad to know that it is sitting, unused for the last year at an airport in AZ with the cowling off (also for a year) nice pics though. jeff D-16906
  14. Yeah Howard! Turners falls! woohoo! So it is a matter of taking off one of the inpsection panels, and then mounting the camera to that, put the panel back on... Gotta try that one day. Nice pic. jeff D-16906

  17. I have been collecting them lately. here is a run down, with links provided when they are available: Cowbell Shroedinger front (click"back" to see the back of the shirt) Hug a stranger Caucasia Country clubs El Salvador Then, I have one from t-shirthell.com that says "123 out of 124 high School students say: Viva Aruba!" No longer available. But t-shirthell has a bunch I want, good stuff: T-shirt hell most likely nsfw... I also have a nicely done "han shot first" shirt, with the official logo of star wars before it got shut down. Yes, I am a geek. jeff D-16906
  18. Does anyone know the current whereabouts of Said Ismail, French skydiver? aka Speed Mamba... last I heard he was in Deland, I would like to catch up with him. Anyone? If you have a US phone for him, I would love via pm. Thanks jeff D-16909
  19. My neighbor and I have one. Actually three. We built a cockpit around the radio, so that you dont have to fly it with your fingers and thumbs, but rather fly it like a real helicopter complete with all full size, real scale controls - collective, cyclic, and anti-torque pedals. It is lots of fun, plus the knowledge will transfer into real helicopters, specifically R22s. The biggest pain about it though is that the batteries dont last long, even though they are LIpros. One day will we get a gasser. jeff D-16909
  20. I have flown for Skydive Las Vegas in Boulder City, we jumped people through the Bravo all the time, but happily it was not on the approach into McCarran, so traffic was not usually an issue. just more radio work for me. "Cleared to climb into the Bravo" then "cleared for the jump into the Bravo" then "Cleared to Descend into the Bravo". No big thing. I have also flown demo jumpers into Phoenix where they were landing at Tempe Town Lake, heart o' the city, Phoenix, az. In fact, the landing area is just short of the 26 approach into Skyharbor, where planes would be at 500' AGl and we had to time it in between Southwest airlines. It worked out sweet on all sides. Find out where the approach corridors are at LAX in relation to your spot. It can be done, if you are in the right place, or you could just stay under the Bravo and do Hop and Pops. jeff d-16906

    Invention

My business partner and I are doing exactly that right now. The idea is actually the easy part. My business partner is an inventing genius, and right now we have 4 solid ideas on the tables of various industries, including aviation, pet, industrial and enviromental containers. One of his ideas will save a company $627,000 per year, and that money gets caputured as soon as our program is in place. Our 'fee' is $197k, so it represents an ROI of 217% IN THE FIRST YEAR! You can hope to have an ROI of 30% if you go offshore, and usually it will take 3-5 years to capture that. The CEO of the company called our program "ingenious" and was super excited about it, and has us meet with his lesser minions, who were also excited, but it got lost in the corporate shuffle. You would think that they would jump at the chance to save that much money, but they aren't. What you need to do is figure out who the audience would be for your ideas, and then go upstream from there. Sell the idea to someone who will do all the marketing and selling of it. In return, you will get a small percentage, typically of NET profits, typically no more than 7%. But be sure to retain the rights for perpetuity. That way, every time the cash register rings, you get your percentage. Cha-ching. If you sell the rights outright, be sure it is a number you will be happy with, no matter what the success of it is. You could sell it for a couple hundered k, and then they go on to make it into a billion dollar product line, and there you are with you 200k... feel to pm me or email at [email protected] if you need or want more info. Good luck with whatever it is. jeff D-16906
