I think its future use is dependent on multiple factors and not necessarily dependent upon using waste products. I'm happy they were able to pull it off successfully. Using bio-fuels, one can drive cars, fly planes, and power ships. A lot of pieces would have to fall into place, none of them likely, but the dependency of transportation upon fossil fuels CAN be lessened via bio fuels. I always liked the thought of agricultural lubricants and fuels myself and think this pretty cool.

Hamas doesn't regret it at all - nor do those who remained silent whilst it bombarded Israel with hundreds of rockets prior to Israel's latest Gaza offensive. When Hamas was firing rockets into Israel, a lot of the world was silent. Now that same segment of the world is up in arms. Billingsgate, one might say. You either tolerate violence or you do not. I vote no. I don't think a President need have first hand knowledge of the military in order to effectively employ it. The JCS and military people themselves see to the strategy and tactics - the civilian leadership sets the goals for the military to achieve. Setting an additional requirement of military service would deprive us of some fine minds and with the all-but-zero-defect mentality (against one party at any rate) we have as a nation with regards to politicians and political appointees already depriving us of many capable public servants, reducing the pool would be a bad move in my opinion.

I think Israel gets half the equation right. There is no viable argument by any sane human being that can justify the hundreds of rocket attacks on Israel after the end of the truce period. Hamas proved once again to everyone that they do not want peace. Israel - nor any other country - should accept ANY rocket attacks on its civilian populace or military and allow the perpetrators of that attack impunity of any sort. Where Israel fucks up is not visibly and drastically aiding the innocent who are harmed in their retaliatory strikes. When the Hezbollah shitheads in Lebanon got their asses kicked, the Hezbollah fuckwads were coming in with medical, food, and monetary aid for the general populace right as the Israelis were withdrawing. Israel also fucks up by not being more stringent with enforcing their own settlement rules and allowing settlers into Palestinian territory. I think Israel should clean house there against all of those Hamas bastards. They need to FOLLOW IT UP WITH AID TO THE INNOCENT. Monetary, medical, and supply. By not doing that - and publicly - they fuck up and prolong the conflict (if indeed it has a possibility of ever ending).
