Well in at least two cases, skyride stole the 800 number to a legitimate drop zone, so the student thought they knew who they were talking to. But yes, they do tell students that they can go to the drop zone in XYC city and use the certificate, regardless of whether or not that dz accepts it. At least thats what they have done in the past. Search any of my posts or beezyshaw's posts in this thread for more examples.

Did skyride give them the address, or did the student show up because thats is who they thought they bought the ticket from? Shit if skyride is sending jumpers to your NON skyride dz then that is awesome. If you can't get rid of skyride at least make the best of a shity situation! Get them on the phone with the credit card company to dispute the transaction, and then have them do a tandem at your place. Thats typically what they have to do. But thats an unneccssary part of the "skydiving experience". Do you really want to do that if you bought a tandem for your birthday or just to experience the "thrill of a lifetime".. guess what you got ripped off too! Nice ride eh?

They typically ban themselves to one last skydive out of an ash pocket.

Skyride doesn't send you to the local dz. They send you to an "affiliated" drop zone that will accept their vouchers. No, they don't. I can't count how many times tandem students showed up at Tennessee Skydiving Center in Tullahoma, TN with a skyride certificate, thinking thats who they had called. Skyride will send the student to any dropzone whether they accept skyride certificates or not, because they already have the money and they simply don't care about anything past that.

Ok I can do the weed and feed. Problem is that half of the grass is gone so I'm going to have to reseed or sod or something. I think my soil has a lot of rock sediment in it (imagine that) because the dirt is 'sparkling'. Who do I give the soil sample to?

Well she is the main reason I'm considering throwing rocks down out there.. I'd be really pissed if I spent the time and money on new grass and she just dug it up again. We cant keep her in the garage in the summer, it gets too hot.

Exactly. Danny was a highly skilled canopy pilot who made a terrible mistake with a fatal outcome. If I'm driving down the street and get hit by a professional race car driver who ran a red light, then I guess its my day to go. I really can't argue this anymore. I'm exhausted from being upset and sick over it.

How long will it take the grass to grow if I re-seed?

Though I dont have much of a back yard, it looks terrible. The attached photos are from last summer when I moved in. It didnt look that great then, but now, half of it has been dug up by my roommate's dog, and whats left is just weeds. I'm killing the weeds.. but I'm considering not reseeding the grass and just putting rocks out there. I like green grass though. Any brilliant ideas on what to do with that area? I suck at this kind of stuff.
