  1. Hi, Can you get the complete draw of the 8 rounds competition, for us? I know their final average was 22.75, with the partials (for the 8 rounds): 23-17-18-12-23-27-20-42 The only sequence known is the one for the 8th jump, where they scored 42 in 35" working time: B-F-L-A-N (Stairstep Diamond-Open Accordian-Adder-Unipod-Crank). 2. Sangiro, Those fast shortcuts to posts on the last 24 hours, on the last week, (...) that existed in the previous format, were functional as well. Blue Skies! ----------------------------- Mario Santos Portugal
  3. It was great anyway that you shared that "catch"! In order to get those canopies back to their owners, the more accurate and detail we have, the better! Blue Skies! Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  4. Ya! Great eye memory! The color pattern looks the same except for the model which appears to be a Velocity? Blue Skies! Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  5. The military operational reason for having MT1-X for both the main and reserve is specially addressed to when doing HAHO (High Altitude High Opening). Jumping from altitudes of 25000 ft up to 35000 ft (using Oxygen Equipment) and deploying 5 - 7 secs after the exit, permits to cover long distances (depending from winds aloft intensity canopies can cover 15 up to 40 Km horizontally) suspended on canopy taking the best use of the previous calculated downwind resulting leg. In the event of a total malfunction with the main, resulting in a cutaway and subsequent reserve opening, a reserve MT1-X would permit to that jumper continue with their military teammates and still accomplish the mission. 6. MT1 - XX – A US Ram Air Canopy system in which the main and reserve canopies were identical. MT1-XX is the name given to the assembly of a main and reserve exactly the same, meaning that for the main you have a MT1-X as well as for a reserve. Is a big back pack (bigger than a tandem rig). That's the operational rig I jumped with. Portugal still has of those. Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  7. Hi, You can use one of my Team (Matrix FS - Portugal). It was published at www.4way.org web site (http://4way.org/cgi-bin/gallery/gallery.cgi?func=show&file=200087&Category=100000&Page=3). 8. Hi, Myself have been a HALO jumper in the military and jumped MT1-X a lot. This is a Para-Flite canopy. The MT-1X Main Parachute is a ram air pressurized gliding canopy equipped with a slider reefer system. The canopy is a 7-cell design and has an area of 370 sq ft (34.4m2). This canopy has the capacity to carry 360 lbs maximum. The airfoil system is the high lift low drag proprietory Lissaman 7808, which offers reasonably high forward speed, easy handling and docile stall characteristics. The MT-1X main parachute is available in three configurations; as a free-fall only canopy, static-line only canopy, or as a combination convertible static-line and free-fall model. You'll be able to find more info or even contact the manufacturer at: http://www.paraflite.com/ http://www.paraflite.com/tactica3.html http://www.paraflite.com/email.html Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  9. Casey, I don't either understand a word of German language... but I use AltaVista translator. If you'd like you can do the same at: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ With this tool you can get an approximate translation of text or even of a web page... just follow the instructions at that link. Better than this will be difficult... when using Internet, in such different languages we have to manage ourselves... otherwise, your salary would not be enough to pay an official translator. 10. Hi, Here it is what I found about this sad occurrence: At http://mypage.bluewin.ch/aviationworld/pc6/#NEWS "OO-NAP crashed: Bad news again - PC-6/B2-H4 OO-NAP #914 of Namur Air Promotion SA crashed yesterday June 9, 2002 at Temploux/Namur. The PC-6 crashed just after takeoff with a full load of parajumpers. Unfortunately one person didn't survived the crash. More details in the article of Lalibre.be" ---------------------------------------- At http://mypage.bluewin.ch/aviationworld/pc6/history/914.htm History of the aircraft ---------------------------------------- At http://www.lalibre.be/article.phtml?id=10&subid=90&art_id=65482 Local press (with photo of the crashed Porter) in french. ---------------------------------------- Blue Skies (at least I hope)! 11. You are almost right... Pro-Track requires 7 secs to start logging... I assumed that the log shown on that dive (exit & deploying at 13K) was correct. If the unit is not defective, or it could be from the previous jump or could be from spiralling down on a front riser under canopy... Mountainman will be able to know exactly which was the situation... Blue Skies! Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  12. Hi, If the logbook in the Pro-Track doesn't correspond to your jump, the best would be to contact Larsen & Brusgaard regarding this matter. Explain in detail the all situation... they might ask you to send them that unit by exchange (for free) with a new one from them. 13. Hi, I'll take the opportunity to advertise my web site and my 4-Way team's Web page (Matrix FS). Have a look at: http://www.mariosantos.com/uk_us/matrix.htm ... and the information you are looking for is at: http://www.mariosantos.com/uk_us/continuity.htm ... and from there follow the links (every Random and Block with the most used combinations)... There is also a series of Formation Skydiving related articles, with a lot of Airspeed influence. Hope this suits your request! Blue Skies! Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  14. 15. Hi, I'm not sure if this is the info you'd like to get. In any case, have a look at these links: http://www.sonystyle.com/di/prd.jsp?model=VCL-ES06A http://www.sonystyle.com/di/prd.jsp?model=VCL-0630S Blue Skies! Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)

  18. Hello, Does anybody know the technical reason why some canopy manufacturers suggest that on heavily loaded canopies, ones should fly "loosening the chest strap"... like in Class 4 (and above) Icarus canopies? If required, please look at: http://www.icaruscanopies.com/choosing.htm Thanks! Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)
  19. I'm a 4-Way Formation Skydiver and our team jumps, although Pro-Track has got 3 alerts, I just set 2: 1st and 2nd at 4000 ft, which is break off time (end of work) and the remaining one at 2000 ft. When the alert comes at 4000 ft, that is mandatory: get out of there and do 180º, flat track and open at 2500 ft. Mario Santos Matrix FS (Portugal)

    Skydive Arizona

I've been at Skydive Arizona in Aug/Sep98, Apr/May00 and Jan01, always being coached by Airspeed (4-way FS Team Training, Basic and Advanced FS Skills Camps). The DZ site is everything you would like to have in a DZ: nice and pleasant facilities, wonderfull Arizona weather and a brilliant staff (both at the Manifest and the Airspeed Team/Project). No matter where you are from, what your experience or skills level is, Skydive AZ is the place to be. 50 jumps there, being coached by any of the Airspeed Team members, is far better than 200 or 300 jumps, somewhere else without guidance. Their experience in FS, both as competitors and coaches, and their philosofy about the sport, is something that requires your presence there to understand why they are the best in the World and why the way they coach is so efficient. The combination achieved by this DZ, regarding the site, facilities, staff and, specially, Airspeed, is awesome!
