I think it does along the lines of: All persons behind the cockpit barrier must wear parachutes on when performing skydiving operations. The people in the cockpit must wear their seatbelts too. I've seen it on a printed sticker inside a couple of Grand Caravans. Not sure about the legal stuff though, just what I've seen. B.

Hé Moose! No, I'm only gonna be at Langar for the first weekend of the boogie (4,5,6 & 7th May). I'll be spending the week you're there at work here in Holland and it'll be the first weekend I've spent here for ages! Then the following weekend it's off to Texel we go! What the f**k is Fair... sorry, Wingi up to? More fun than a pro-track?? My favourite toy! It can't be more fun. The let is a great plane. Fast on the way to altitude as well. The only trouble is the run in speed - FAST. If you have a plane full of solo or two ways then being last out of the door can mean you don't get back to the DZ - you need to either get a second pass or pull a little higher than normal. Big door as well! Makes exits for larger groups a bit less of a tight fit! I think the rumour about the skyvan at Langar comes from the BPA mag where they showed a *model* skyvan and said look at the new plane! B.

Hé Mooooose! Just got back from Texel last night and have been trawling through the 500+ posts on DZ.com - get out there jumping at the weekends people!! You'd think the amount of posts at the weekend would be LESS with everyone out kissing the sky! Apparently not... Anyway, Texel. You wanna freefly? You got it. You wanna do FS? You got it. You wanna do CREW? You got it. You see a recurring theme here...? Gear hire is good, with new Javelins being the norm. Not sure what is in 'em though. They have a caravan full time and I think they will be having a Let for the summer. It wasn't there at the weekend, but they are expecting it sometime soooon. There is plenty of accomodation on the island, but the place to stay is the Kievit - a B&B/Hostel that all the DZ staff and regular jumpers stay in. I stayed there this weekend, just turning up and getting one of the local jumpers I knew to blag me a bed in one of the larger rooms. BRING A SLEEPING BAG - they will give you a duvet type thing if you need it, but I prefer my own. Up to you. Closer to the day I can give them a call and book one of the smaller, nicer rooms (that don't have 14 snoring sweaty blokes in) for our group. The views of the islands are SPECTACULAR especially when you get a 5 or so 360 degree views in a SHORT period of time courtesy of Herr Line Over... The queues of the ferry are quite long, but it's only a 30 minute wait between each one and they run all day long. They just wave you through if you're on a bike though... Bwaa ha ha ha haahahahaha!! Just got back from the Boogie on Texel - 1 Caravan and 1 Grand Caravan for the weekend. Great weather, got 10 jumps in. 2 GREAT tracking dives. One 11-way and one 7-way - AWESOME!! The line over at the end of the first tracking dive was not so good, however... Man, I've gotta sort my packing shit out! Managed to clear it though, but it gets the old ticker moving... See you at Langar on Friday night!! Blues B.

Ok, the Ferry to Texel will cost you 82.50 Guilders for the return journey including 3 passengers. At 3.5Fl fo the GBP you get a grand total of £23.57 sterling. Or 33.92 dollars of the US variety. The ferry runs (floats?) every 1/2 hour from 6.30ish am till 11.30ish pm. If you want more info, go to http://www.teso.nl. there is a choice of languages to choose from, but alas, no English (US) aka microsoft... Will get back to you ref accomodation, tents, beer etc... Skybitch (UK), You must have been in Langar at the same time as me! I've just come back from there. The Langar 8 way team you refer to is the "Box of Frogs". I was there jumping 6 & 8 way with a bunch of Dutch crayzees for the week. Sort of just hooked up with them and the rest is history... I'll be at the Langar boogie also - For the first weekend only though. I've got the boogie at Texel this weekend, the boogie at Langar next weekend and the European leg of the DZ.com boogie at Texel 3 weeks after that! Phew... European Stage Contestants, I'll find out some info on the ferry, accomodation etc and let you all know. I'll probably be heading up there from Amsterdam after work on Friday (about lunchtime) with my motorbike. Hmm, the Langar boogie? Make sure you have *plenty* of pills for the mornings... B.

What oh Chaps! Just found this message in the 1000 odd that I've missed since I've been down in Empuria. Gotta say Moose, I've been having the same ideas as you - get an apartment there and live happily the rest of my days skydiving, mountainbiking, motorcycling, skiing, waterskiing, eating and drinking. This place has it all. Ok. Texel. I'm off there this weekend for the Queen's Birthday boogie. The Dutch celebrate the Queen's B'day (well, the previous Queen's) for the whole weekend here and have Monday off. As such there is a boogie on at Texel this weekend and I'm going up there to PARTY! I'll let you all know what the place is like, any restrictions, requirements etc. Do your reserves have seals on them? No, not the ball on the nose type... They like seals over here. You can get away with it if you can show it was packed in the UK, but it will make life easier if it is sealed. If any of you guys are popping across to Amsterdam, let me know, I can go on the pop with you. I'm in Amsterdam most of the time - let me know! Let's get it on! B.
