  3. There IS a beer store...right nearby....A guy named David works there and will likely have a Wide variety... ( saves having to truck all those cases WITH you ) The store is behind the places on the road, across the street from the W -Mart.. Maybe someone can find and post a link for the place...( for advance orders ) I bet they can get Anything.. Support the Local Fitzgerald business establishments......

  5. I'm answering yes to both questions
  6. Before the fuel increases of the last few years most DZs held prices down because of local competition. They were way behind what prices should have been when they finally raised them because of the fuel prices. I wouldn't look for them to come back down and I would be embarrassed to ask.
  7. It's up to the dropzone culture to either allow all that you described or run the fucker off.
  8. Helicopter is confirmed. Details on how we plan to run manifest for the chopper to come. Because of the issues we have had with having a helicopter sitting on the ground when there are 100 tickets out I am leaning toward assigning load numbers to the tickets. Post up if you plan to jump the chopper.
  9. State Farm has gone in the crapper since they started in with all of their investment products and trying to be a bank. We are slowly moving away from them. When I bought the Harley 4 yrs ago my agent told me they didn't insure motorcycles. Two days later I saw a commercial on tv for State Farm motorcycle insurance.
  10. While not saying the f work for every little thing is correct, buying beer for your true monumental firsts is about more than supplying beer to all the cheap asses that don't buy beer anymore. It's about taking part in the DZ culture and getting to know the people that hang out at the end of the day. (although this is becoming uncommon in many places) One of my first weekends at the DZ after hours I brought all the liquor we had from home and mixed drinks on the tailgate of my truck in front of the hanger. I got a few shitty looks when I pulled my truck up in front of the hanger like I owned the place and I think I remember a few "you can't park there" comments. All was good when I dropped the tailgate.

  12. It's all about balance. Go do something else for a while, come back and see how it feels. There's nothing that says once you start you gotta keep doing it and there is nothing wrong with moving on. It's supposed to be fun.
  13. Is setup considered part of the boogie? Trying to decide when to make the post in events.
  14. Do you really think people are going to be using a bouncy slide much that early? Rick: Howbout a foam pit bouncy slide. Bring back the mechanical bull and make her ride it The guy that owned the bull was a dickhead and was ready to leave when he got there. He acted like he was going to either have to have it blessed with Holy Water or burn it after Bolas got off of it. And what kind of jackass doesn't let the girls stay on when they are wallowing around all sexy like??
  15. I've tried to set up a 3 more than once, as recent as last year. There is one parked 30 miles away. It never works out.
  16. ^^^^ High on the list of worthless posts I've read here.
  17. Thanks for starting this thread and thanks everyone for posting. It's encouraging to hear that there are people out there waiting for March to arrive and enjoy the boogie for what it is. I've gotten word that there are people who think it's gotten stale and may not be coming. I can't compete with the many of the dropzone boogies, nor have I ever tried. I do what I can with what we can only guess we will have to work with year to year. I'm glad there are still people out there who appreciate it. So come on out and bring some new people. The jumpers make the boogie what it is. All I really do is set up a place for everyone to show up. Looking forward to seeing everyone. On a very important side note: We missed Danny Dan last year because they were making arrangements to be moved down here by now. His wife is having a health issue that has delayed their move and Danny will likely miss this year also, although we hope not. Please send prayers, vibes, positive thoughts, whatever you do to their family. Here's hoping they get this taken care of and can get down here sooner than later.
  18. That's a very condescending statement. Would you say that about one of the male Moderators? Well, he used a That's like saying With all due respect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Af-Id_fuXFA I don't think he meant to be rude.
