  1. For sure every converter will give some loss. Though the wide angle from Gus is by far the best lens I've ever had. Super sharp all over. It would be good to really measure the resolution. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  2. We'll see Gus :). ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  3. Yes, it's a nice camera. 4K version of my 760 with BOSS. Indeed don't like the projector and will probably never use it but can't take it off. Good to know the HypEye might not work. I'll bring it to the shop to test. Trunk, any idea if you'll get an updated version for this camera? ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  4. My dealer has one in stock now and I'm considering getting one. Anybody already experience with the camera, especially while in freefall? Does the Hypeye work? ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **

  6. A few weeks ago I wrote an article about jumping tandem with a telescopic pole stick. USPA Parachutist is not interested in publishing due to the contradiction of jumping it. I guess a few magazines, at least some European, will publish it in their coming issue. The article also tells something about the equipment, including the type of stick. Some pics can be found at my FB page. I'm in Russia rigth now but when I'm back home I'll update the album with some more recent pics. https://www.facebook.com/Parashoot/media_set?set=a.10201158674141854.1073741828.1019961726&type=3 Henny ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  7. Hi Nicholas, No this event has been re-scheduled to beginning next season due to several reasons. One is my broken upper arm. It was a good decision because the weather was far from ok for jumping rounds that weekend. Grtzz, Henny ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  8. Every year I try to organise a "Vintage Weekend" at my home DZ Teuge in The Netherlands. We've about 20 canopies and rigs from non steerable rounds (1959 French Silk EFA canopy) till the first generation squares. Most canopies are hooked up to 3-ring risers to fit regular big rigs. For this an old friend (Charles von Sury from Switzerland) donated me his Parasled. He relined the canopy and patched all (former reefing) holes. I've jumped this canopy a few times. Not a lot of performace compared to what we're used to now :).
  9. That occured after gearing up and even before I had a chance of checking my handles so don't start spreading wrong words. Of course this was noticed straight away and would not happen in freefall. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  10. My loop handles have velcro and are taken off the harness and put on velcro on the inside of the suit. The harness is kept in place by a shackle on both sides. Very simple and clean. It's not a suit for everybody though. I'll probably need a fare amount of jumps to be really current and comfortable for BASE with this suit. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  11. Hi Jon, It's the biggest suit I've even seen and flown. I don't know when Tony will start selling this new suit and because it was primarily developed for BASE I also don't know if it'll be modified to fit skydiving rigs too (release and reserve handles). This suit is not intended for flocking so if that's what you're after I would go for the X-Bird. Grtzz, Henny ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  12. Unfortunately I can't provide pictures yet until Tony has launched the new suit. The suit starts flying immediatly so I'm convinced about an easier exit and less heigth before flying away from the wall. It felt like the suit was more flying by itself without much input from my arms. Probably due to the compartment design (cells and shape). With most other suits I can get tired when flying to the max for 3 - 4 min., not this suit. Grtzz, Henny ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  13. Last week I've made several jumps with some Fusion / Apache prototype suits. I can say that I've never flown a wingsuit longer / further and so comfortable before, especially the initial Fusion model. Very easy to fly around 30 mph vertical speed (210-220 sec from 13 » 3). Have to check the horizontal speed with my SkyFlight soon. It's a complete different style suit and definately not for everybody (really big) but will be great for BASE and performance freaks. Looking forward to have one for myself :).
  14. I don't like you :)! ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  15. You're right. But the advert was about Sierra Lights :). BTW, I'm still looking for a RW PC. If you find one please let me know.
  16. About at the same panel as on a Paracommader. Unfortunately the ink is in red on black fabric. Very hard to read. Even if I take pictures and play in Photoshop I can't read it good enough. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  17. Actually Sierry Light. I've a black/red one. I've a picture of the print but can't read the date so I've to check the canopy itself. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  18. At our yearly Vintage weekend event I jumped a purple silk EFA canopy from 1959. It has a T-mod so steerable. Packed with a long cotton sleeve. For such an old canopy the fabric is still very strong and the landing was like most other round canopies. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  19. Please see my other post about the cancellation of the Lake Bussloo comp for 2010. Henny ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
  20. Sorry to announce this message but because we don't expect enough participants this year we unfortunately have to cancel the competition for this year. This year the comp is scheduled after the World Meet in Kolomna Russia so for most competititors the season is over. Hopefully next year it'll better fit in the schedule of all events. C ya ll next year! Henny
  21. Hi Dmitri, Thanks for the info. Good to know.
  22. Now the World Championships are mid August does it make sense for me as organizer to run our Swoop comp after the World Meet? Especially now Italy has scheduled their Nationals at the same weekend. I guess it could still be interesting for the Americans as preparation for their Nationals. It looks like I can't change it to earlier in the season. Later in September might be an option but that doesn't change the fact that it's still after the World Meet. Any thoughts? ThanX, Henny
  23. Awesome, really inspires me to plan some more wingsuit trips this season!!
