  3. Ian Head Málaga, Spain. December 2018
  4. RIP Ian Head. Died this morning, complications from diabetes.
  5. Excellent article! I’ve always worn ear plugs since the early days. Those Beech D-18s and DC3s are loud. Also, a career in the Engineering Construction Industry with lots of loud equipment and banging noise. Sure glad I can listen to the TV and radio at low volume.
  6. Keep beating the drums about USPA Members dues money being donated to the “Skydiving Museum building” without consulting USPA Members. It’s a rip off and (our USPA treasure already said) we can’t afford it
  7. Lew is the green suit wearing the black and yellow Racer attached to the all black jumper.
  8. There is a misunderstanding that I'm opposed to the Hall of Fame and the work done by the Packrats in sorting out and identifying the gear that was in storage for the museum. My only issue is the money being donated to the Skydiving Museum by the USPA BOD without consent of USPA Members.
  9. Ron Hudson died January 15th of a heart attack in his condo at Squaw Valley Ca. Many memories are on his Facebook page and "Trading Parachutes for Wings".
  10. The previous layout was much better and easy to navigate. Newer does not mean better.
  11. They are current in all disciplines of Freefall since DeLand is the center of Skydiving on planet Earth. http://merlinsuits.com/ They also have a Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/merlinsuits/ Please mention my name. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  12. Best Xmass song ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9jbdgZidu8&list=RDj9jbdgZidu8 I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  13. The fourth Skydiver is Mike Johnston. He's been managing DeLand for decades. Can we get this thread back on subject ? Because of efforts here and on Facebook, dues paying USPA Members are asking WTF about the construction of a Skydiving Museum next to a wind tunnel that might never be built in 6 years maybe. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  14. This is the greatest Christmas song ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9jbdgZidu8 I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  15. The unsealing of an indictment charging Zhu Hua (朱åŽ), aka Afwar, aka CVNX, aka Alayos, aka Godkiller; and Zhang Shilong (å¼ å£«é¾™), aka Baobeilong, aka Zhang Jianguo, aka Atreexp, both nationals of the People’s Republic of China (China), with conspiracy to commit computer intrusions, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft was announced today. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  16. The Museum did have a place at Dulles Airport Smithsonian Air and Space in 2001. One man at the Air and Space was helping Bill Ottley and Chris Needles get a location and Government funding---he died. No one else at Air and Space was interested in a Skydiving Museum and the whole effort was gone. The main issue is using USPA Members money to keep the boondoggle going day to day. They have one paid employee. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  17. Just found this. Doug disappeared from Skydiving after 1971. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/postgazette/obituary.aspx?n=douglas-r-metcalfe&pid=187011389&fhid=26373 I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.

  20. I have Two Racers from http://www.plabsinc.com/1.html with NO dual sided RSL. It's an option. If you want a Racer with a single side RSL just ask for one. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  21. Rich Grimm wrote an Excellent letter about the Skydiving Museum Boondoggle. It's in your October 2018 Parachutist Magazine on page 6. The title of the Letter is "Are Our Dues Spent Wisely." This takes you to it https://uspa.org/p/Article/letters-57 I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
  22. USPA has to be financially secure for the next big Lawsuit. We always have one coming, either from a student that sprains an ankle, or worse the next Skydiving airplane crash. Bill Ottley was always concerned about a huge Lawsuit with slick lawyers for the plaintiff that could wipe out USPA. It's already happened to Drop zones. The USPA Membership elects the USPA BOD and has nothing to do with the Skydiving Museum. Just the facts please. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
