  1. We'll find out what the Canucks are made of shortly. The announcers on CBC were talking about the Canucks needing to find leadership from the players....I look at the Captain, Henrik Sedin, and I see someone who has no answer to being shoved around and I don't think he is the one to provide the leadership they need. We'll see but I don't think the Canucks have it in them. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  2. I think Luongo will have a much better Game 4. Refs were just trying to keep the game under control. Loved Tim Thomas flattening Henrik Sedin and the two short-handed goals by Boston! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  3. The tying goal resulted from two brutal giveaways that allowed the Canucks to keep the puck in the Bruins end until it was shot over the glass. The Bruins mishandling after the resulting faceoff gave the Canucks the tying goal. Had the puck been cleared earlier I think the Bruins win the game. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  4. Here I got a screen grab for you guys... Amazon, That's the suit Don wears to funerals Murray
  5. Hollywood version of Dragon Tattoo trailer purportedly leaked. Looks pretty good and Daniel Craig is a definite improvement in believability. Love the version of Immigrant Song by Trent Reznor! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  6. Should be a good finals. I think that the Bruins have to stay out of the penalty box in order to win as the Canucks PP has been on fire lately. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  7. Hell of a Game 7! Roloson was great but one goal was enough for Boston. Canucks - Bruins final starting next Wednesday. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  8. I think I heard somewhere that he was worth >$100 million....mostly from contributions by followers/suckers. Sounds to me like he has quite a few people willing to send him money. Scary isn't it? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  9. I know, maybe he should try beer lol. Seriously, we adopted a small dog (20 pond terrier/poodle cross) 6 weeks ago. He is 8-9 years old. Due to the terrible condition of his teeth and gums when rescued the vet consulted pulled all of his teeth except one of his lower canine teeth. He never seemed to drink water the first few weeks we had him but have noticed him trying to drink the last few days...maybe due to the hotter weather...and he practically chokes to death. We are guessing that due to the fact that he only has the one tooth he can't get his tongue to put the water where it needs to go to be swallowed. Would we be able to get water into him using a large syringe or should we just let him figure out how to get it done on his own. He has been toothless since last September so I don't know how much longer it might take. Any other suggestions??? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  10. Shit bounce. I've never seen anything like that happen before. I have to say though that Joe Thornton played his guts out in this series but he wasn't enough to beat a very talented (and lucky) Canucks team. If the Bruins beat Tampa, I'll cheer for the Bruins. If Tampa comes back I'll cheer for the Canucks. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  11. Yeah, the OT shouldn't have happened. Oh well, I hope the Sharks can end it here in the second OT period. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  12. Good game last night Boston-Tampa. Did you guys catch the save Thomas made on Downie at about 9 minutes in the third? He had to coma all the way across the goal, Downie had half a net and Thomas reached over with his stick and knocked the puck out of the air. Unbelievable! Tonight we'll see if the Sharks can stay out of the box and get a road win to stay alive. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  13. Sharks were completely outplayed. I sure expected better from them. Maybe Chuck is right...lucky to go 5 games! Marleau shouldn't drop the gloves. He got in one shot on Bieksa before Bieksa got his visor/helmet off and then just ate shots. It was pathetic. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  14. It could be a close series but I think the Sharks will win. The Canucks are too soft and I think the Sharks are willing to do what it takes this year. Thornton looked like a man on a mission in Game 7 and that isn't good news for the Canucks. How about the Lightning tonight! Pretty surprising to have such a one-sided game. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  15. Great Game! Thornton played a terrific game and Marleau likely saved two goals as well as scoring one....interesting to see if Roenick gives him some credit. Conference finals should both be pretty good...I hope the Sharks can keep moving along. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  16. I can't figure this out.......how do I 'Like' your comments on this site ?
  17. I think the Sharks are toast. Niemi kept it close but Detroit outplayed them in a big way. If the Wings move forward I think they will win it all. I really don't see the Canucks, Bruins or Lightning beating them. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  18. Unfortunately, the Sedin Sisters move on. If there is a team that can come back from 3-0 it is the Wings. Could be a couple of very interesting games. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  19. Predators refuse to die! I like that team. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  20. Most beautiful of all last night was the Bruins steamrolling the Flyers. Not too often you see that many Fyers getting knocked on their ass. Unfortunately, the Flyers may just have the Bruins right where they want them. I am hoping the Bruins wrap it up in Game 4. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  21. How about Tampa! Got the Caps down 3-0. Nashville not mounting any offence tonight but Rinne is an awesome goaltender. Cold be another upset? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  22. Congrats to the US intelligence and the spec. ops people that ended Bin Laden's life. Good riddance! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  23. Unfortunately, I had to miss last night's games. Sounds like Boston - Montreal was a classic....7th game in OT...can't have a closer series than that. Time for the Bruins to avenge lat year's choke against the Flyers! Go Bruins! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  24. Hawks get a short-handed goal with just over a minute left to tie it up and send it to OT. Crawford has been terrific in net for the Hawks. He made a series of 3 saves in the third that was incredible. Luongo has played great...better than I expected so he has risen to the occasion under tremendous pressure. Who is going to to be the winner? Vancouver has been the better team but the Hawks still live. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  25. What happened? I missed all but the final 4 minutes. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
