  1. I never left it off at all. There is an option for that rig that i forgot about that reminds me of the icon. I was thinking infinity. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  2. However, I find www.moneybookers.com a hell of alot cheaper and super fast to the bank account for withdrawls. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  3. I have taken about 100K worth of payments over it in 2 years with no issues except stupid fees. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  4. So, not asking what rig you jump now, but what rig you would like to buy next, are going to buy next or wish you could afford to buy next. Just curious. I know alot of people buy certain rigs because they are cheaper than others but what rig would you buy if they were all kitted out with options and all the same price? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  5. I would buy used if i was you. On a 210 your wind limits will be very low, similar to those of student status as you dont want to be going backwards under canopy. Even if you start off on a 210 i imagine it would only be 50 jumps max before you are on a 190. Just my opinion though, I am fairly certain that it is your instructor who has told you not to buy used and i imagine that is one of his considerations into why you should not buy new. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  6. You would probably want to start with a second hand 190 and then buy a brand new 170. I am not too sure why you have been told to buy a 210? Did an instructor tell you this? Alot of people believe the ideal wing loading for a newbie is 1.0 .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  7. So on a 190 you will be 0.88? IS that what you are saying? The you dont want to be buying a 210 brand new. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  8. No its not that mate. You can jump those canopies in container made for 7/9 cells. Its the size. It is very unusual for crossbraced canopies that would go in a container that large for a 210. You see, with a crossbraced canopies you also want a much higher wing loading than 1.13. That is why I asked, Was wondering i you meant that. Canopies that sell very fast on the second hand market and retain their value are 170'2-210's. These canopies have a very high demand as it is the first stepping stone for every new person to the sport. If you can afford it, go new. It will sell easily after a few hundred jumps. When i say if you can afford it, i mean - if you can afford to buy two brand new rigs within a couple of years, thinking you are doing 100 jumps a year. The average jumper with an average body build would be on a 170 within 200 jumps. most within 150 jumps. I always think a good time to buy new gear is when you are on a 190 and getting ready for a 170. you then buy the kit for a 170 and jump the 190 while waiting for it to be made. This size container will last you alot longer than a 210-190 generally would. You start to rapidly slow down when it comes to downsizing once on a 150. Sure, some just downsize real fast but downsizing from a 150 to a 135 is a bigger lead than say a 190 to a 170. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  9. If your wingloading on a 190 is 1.13 and you have acontainer for a 210-190, dont plan on using that same container for a crossbraced canopy. You will need a smaller container for a crossbraced canopy. You dont load a crossbraced canopy at 1.3 Once you are finished with the 190 canopy you will need to downsize if you want to jump a true elliptical canopy, especially a crossbraced. If money is not a problem then buy new. Just expect to pay around $6000-$7000 not $5000 as you suggest. I dont think you could buy a articulated rig with basic options and cypres for $5000 brand new. I have to ask, you say you will go from a 210-190 and then will go crossbraced etc, does that mean you think you can jump a crossbraced in the same container? (not talking about experience or anything) just wondering if you are thinking instead of downsizing you can just put higher performance canopies in that same container. Welcome to the sport mate and good luck with finding the answers you seek. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

  11. Squeak, Skittles is corect, as are you but NO, you dont just load the jpeg and walk away to let the software do all the work for you. I am certain if you ask your friend she will agree exactly with what skittles said in it depends how complex the graphic is as lots of it does need to be recreated as such. I have worked with embroidery with rig manufacturers, and multiple clothing manufacturers. To simply load the software and walk away while the machine does all the work on complex graphics would be the person who is doing the conversions dream come true. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  12. Embroidery machines accept .DST files. I am yet to meet an embroider/embroidery machine who uses anything else. People can send high resolution Jpegs to manufacturers and they will convert them to DST files for their embroidery machines. There is also a few people floating around who will do it. Most clothing manufacturers charge about $200+ to convert the artwork. People like wings and UPT charge around $50. Imagine the software Squeaks friend uses is the software that converts from Jpeg to DST. It can be a hard process depending on the graphics. It is in no way always a simple job. I have a great contact who does the work and it is cheap. But i would suggest if you are going to a manufacturer for rigs that you pay them the $50 to convert it so they can get it the right size etc for the place it is going. However Most manufacturers will also accept it if you send them the file already in DST format, they just do not tell people about dst format and just explain it needs to be converted cause the average joe does not have or have used an embroidery machine and knows about the format. Skittles, i imagine yours cost alot because mainly the letters are all individual graphics, so each letter would have been a seperate file i would think and then you pay for the embroidery as well. I have all my artwork in DST files now and i like that each manufacturer can change each thread colour easily if i need them to. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  13. The damp weather and then the filthy plane will get it grubby. you dont need to fall over. anyway, offers there if you want it. just not for too long as you aint getting a free reserve cycle check out of me .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  14. Happy 50th Brother! .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  15. sucks I didn't think of it to be honest. Get it done on your next re pack or I would me HAPPY for you to get it done now and I will pay for the repack. Let me find out if it was done as I did get is assembled so it may have been. Only reason I would be happy to sort it out for you is because you have so much White and I'm pissed at myself for not thinking of this earlier. I'll find out, if it has not been done ask a rigger to do it now rather than later and I will sort you out. Post it note just went on my desktop for future. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  16. Yeah, Forgot all about it until i read this thread. it is a personal preference thing. Not something i offer, not sure if UPT do either. If you still have to have your cypres put in you can do it when the rigger empties out the container. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  17. Does anyone know if Ouregan suits Nancy are still doing the crazy ass patterns on UPT rigs? Might be something different for you Tom. I think they were a fuck load more though. Something like $2K extra if i am correct? It was years ago i saw it so maybe that is a wrong estimate. Anyone know? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  18. mo matter how well you look after it, white will always look grubby after a year. Just the dirt in the air will make it filthy or the exaust from the turbine while loading the plane and it turns around in front of you. The dampness of the weather and then the dust that gets stuck on it from the packing shed or the car boot or the gear bag. You only get white if you are happy knowing that one way or another your white rig will get grubby from the elemnts of this planet. no matter how well you look after it, if you can accept that it will get grubby then go for it. If it does just get grubby and not filthy it will always look ok. Make sure you scotch-guard it though. Remember to request that when you send me in the order. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  19. Cool mate. I think i should take her picture down. It is up to Kath to post it, not me. BTW Tom, the split colour patterns cost a fair bit extra mate. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

    My new Voodoo

I have been sending my customers emails with the subject saying 'terrible news!!!' the week they expect their rigs. I sent a few customers a photo of a rucksack , but those pictures take the cake. Love it!! Customers excitment is at such a high when they know their rig is about to be ready. Love it! I can imagine how hard you laughed. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
