  4. Sounds great! The challenge is a huge part of the adventure. Wyoming took us three trips, Georgia took FOUR visits (weather and a/c problems) and we ended up jumping in Waycross of all places......Nevada took two tries for us. Rhode Island was tough but a miscommunication actually got us our jump there. ... South Dakota was a whole story in itself getting that jump on The Fourth Of July. Lots of fun, lots of memories..... 6. Hello Justin, Sounds like you are having a ball! I have been the record keeper since 2001. My wife and I finished The Fifty States in 2005. So far we are the only record holders who have at one time or another had contact with all the others. For years I held out several numbers in the interest of fairness for some folks we had heard rumors of doing the 50 states many years ago. My hope was to give the numbers out somewhat close to the order in which folks completed the states. In 2015 I began discussions with some of the other 50 State Fallers and we decided to clean up the list and numbers and go with confirmed folks and issue the numbers as we became aware of their completing The Fifty States. Lew Sanborn is the 14th confirmed Fifty State Faller. Sarah Bray Nuckols is also helping me with the list. A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! 7. I have been the record keeper for The 50 State Fallers and Walt is the 8th person in The World we have recorded to jump all 50 states. An exclusive club! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  8. Hello Justin, I am traveling in the northeast right now so don't have the info in front of me but I believe the last number I gave out was to Nicole Smith #17. A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  9. Hello Justin, Great to hear of your Fifty State Adventures! Good luck to you and have a ball. Please let me know when you finish, I have become the unofficial record keeper of 50 staters. 11. Will you be on the north or south island or both? North island we jumped at Matamata and found a greeat group of folks our personal fave.. Also jumped north of Auckland with a good bunch, forget the DZ name. South Island was a little more tourist/tandem oriented. We jumped at Lake Wanaka-- not to be missed if possible but is mainly tandems. We jumped at the DZ in Christchurch--amazing ---airport is surrounded by civilization-unusual for a DZ make at least one jump there, not sure how they feel about low jump numbers. the glacier jumps are another can't miss on the south island. Good onya have a ball! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  12. I'll be at the other old guy boogie. The POPS World Meet in Australia is going on at the same time......... Have fun! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  13. Hello White Falcon, Just wondering how you are doing on The Fifty States? My wife and I are Fifty State Fallers, we finished up in 2004. We have 9 people confirmed so far who have accomplished the feat. Hope you are having fun. A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  14. It was fun and rewarding being on such a great POPS team. =============================== Well said, what a fun event! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  15. I have e-mailed Sangiro requesting a POPS forum a couple of times over the past two years but have not received a reply. I am definately in favor! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  16. All roads lead to West Point, we are on our way ---trying to beat the NASCAR traffic past Richmond and the beach traffic on 64. Lets get some CASA loads up on Friday!!!! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  17. Carol Clay Rocks, she is a great lady. Betty and Harry are coming up from Miami to help celebrate! We love getting right to The Point! See everyone on Friday. A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  18. All you need is a spot on The Klondike Highway or the Chilkoot Trail, where theres a will theres a way. We flew down a driveway and landed in a back yard in Fort Yukon. Whatever. Heck land back on the ship as its sailing away, that will make the cruise more exciting! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  19. Dude, Call the airport FBO at Skagway, ask for a name of a local pilot(s) who might help get you in the air. Learn how to file your own NOTAM. Not hard, Flight Service will walk you through it. Hint, file a landing area more than five miles from the airport-it makes things much simpler paperwork wise especially if the airport has commercial traffic, or what the hell go for the whole enchilada and be your own one man airshow and land at the airport, it's Alaska, its like a whole 'nother country. When I jumped the fifty states with my wife we found a lot of cool ways to score jumps. Filing your own NOTAM is intimidating at first but after you do it once, no sweat. Course you could go the outlaw route, saves paperwork and adds that certain thrill to the whole adventure. Hope you have a ball! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  20. Hello my name is Harry Moore. My wife and I completed the fifty states in 2004. Hope you all have a ball doing it. How far along are you? We have nine confirmed Fifty State Fallers so far. There is a part time DZ in Wyoming, its non-USPA. If we may be of help let us know. Please let us know if you jump all fifty and we will add you to the list! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  21. From TMZ's website----------- Peter Pans Jump Out of a Plane Posted Mar 4th 2007 2:59AM by TMZ Staff Filed under: Movies TMZ has obtained video of one of the wackiest marketing stunts in recent memory. To celebrate the launch of Disney's "Peter Pan" Platinum Edition, a team of skydivers in green leotards jumped from 14,000 feet! Thirty daredevils from Neverland sang a horrifying rendition of "We Can Fly, We Can Fly" as they ascended. When they reached maximum altitude, they leapt from the plane and formed two giant letter Ps in the sky. Look, Wendy! After landing, the skydivers walked a green carpet and watched a screening of the classic in the world's first "fly-in theater." 22. We last spoke with Lou in August of 2006 before we left for Fairbanks, he was hooking us up with a fellow in Fort Yukon who might let us jump from his plane north of the Arctic Circle. He still did not have Hawaii at that time. Yes I would gladly help sponsor him to Hawaii. We have added two more to our list as of 2006. I am at work and don't have the names in front of me right now but I believe Walt is one of them. If I remember correctly they both had Georgia connections. A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
  23. Great to know you're back! Rock on QL! We will be driving cross country San Francisico to Tampa around then--- hope to see you all! A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler

  25. You all mean there is no USPA DZ in Wyoming--- there is a Cessna DZ in WY. I have jumped at it. It is east of Gillette and north of Moorcroft. You have nice views of Devils Tower from it. Long way from Jackson Hole though................. A mile of highway can take you a mile But a mile of Runway can take you anywhere! Blue Sky Traveler
