I was sorta that guy... One night during summerfest at SDC they hosted a casino night and my g/f and her best friend agreed to be dealers. I lost all of my chips in like two hands at the poker table so I wandered around while my g/f kept feeding me jack and cokes that she was getting for free. The two girls decide to go to the bathroom together and conviced me to deal texas hold 'em until they get back. After arguing w/ an exmarine over something to due w/ dealing I realized I was way too drunk to be dealing. The girls by the way ditched me or got preoccupied and left me hanging. Went to a pig roast on the 4th and was sent home with a large zip top bag filled w/ porky goodness. Throw it on a kaiser bun w/ some Gates (spicy) bbq sauce and it's heaven. As a kid i never wore a helmet and was outside all summer biking, rollerblading etc...never was injured except for a scrape here or bruise there. In 8th grade we took a field trip to a bowling alley and at the end of my first game I tripped myself and fell forward. I used the bowling ball to stop my fall and broke my hand near the base of my thumb. The sad part was I was in a youth bowling league for like 2 or 3 years before. Sorry, I was camping all weekend (didn't take the bike on the 5 hour ride) so I missed all of these posts. Same here although not as fast. It started with me looking into buying a 150cc scooter. After some reading I learned you need a motorcycle license for that size of a scooter so I went and got my permit one day after work. That just involves a 15 question written test which was a breeze. Two days later my brother invited me to learn and practice on his 650cc Hyosung cruiser. I knew the basics on how to operate the bike so I cruised the neighborhood streets on his bike and bought mine the same day. Found a good deal on a 06 suzuki s40/Savage. A week later I'm licensed! Do you have any examples regarding bad habits? I've been riding for about a week now so I'm real green. Edit: thanks for the compliment. The dmv tester thought it was a 250cc and had me do the uturn in the smaller area. After practicing cones for an hour in a parking lot my brother and I rode to a DMV and I passed my motorcycle road test, my first attempt. From what I understand this isn't usually done on the first try. It took my brother 3 tries, a friend 2 tries and there was a couple there taking it for their 2nd time. Next month my wife and I plan on taking an MSF course so I can learn something I don't already know and so my wife can learn to ride. Probably my last update. Today is my fourth day in a row without a smoke. The hard part is over, I haven't bought a pack since 5/10 and have had one since 5/17. This week felt like smoking is just a memory. My lighter has been stowed away and I cleaned my car really well even though it was only smoked in for about 2 months. I don't think about it much, maybe once or twice a day, and I'm starting to smell how people really smell after smoking. Bad. Hopefully this smoking thing is behind me and Chantix really worked well.
