  1. Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely take it. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  2. They won't bite? I don't mind inquisitive and them making sure that I'm safe - not only for myself but others as well. And staying out of the politics sounds great!!!!
  3. I'm curious. How many jumps did you have when you did a pre-second visit to a different DZ (not your home DZ)? Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  4. Having a relationship end is very hard. Schedule some girl time with friends. Go shopping (leave checkbook/credit cards/etc. at home ). Take a candlelight bath with relaxing music and a glass (or two) of wine. Schedule a spa day. And, allow yourself to cry. Find time to enjoy being you...time for yourself to go do things that you may not have done with the ex. It is rough and takes time, but you will one day feel better and will actually contemplate another relationship. If you need a shoulder to cry on, feel free to contact me. I may not be close but I can listen. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  5. Happy Birthday! Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  6. Well, I paid for my ex to do AFF-1 jump. Since then I've only been paying for myself. And, I bought my motorcycle after getting rid of the ex.
  7. Hmmm...jello shots? Never tried....I'll have to give it a go one time. Thanks for the suggestion. LOL Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  8. The but.... comes into play in that he thought since he got the kiss pass in the air, it would continue on the ground. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  9. You poor thing. Someone should correct that. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  10. Agreed. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  11. LOL I never thought I'd forget it either. I had even practiced in on the ground. Oh, well...I lived to tell about it and learned from the experience. And...I'll look forward to seeing and hearing about the "dumb" things. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. hi

Good luck to you and your husband. I've given blood a few times. You'll be a little tired afterwards, but they tell you to enjoy coffee, chocolate, etc. I don't like needles, but it's worth it. Just look the other way and let them know if you are apprehensive. They'll do their best to calm you. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  13. I've had 2 kiss passes. My first one caught me by surprise and wasn't one that I appreciated - nice guy, but.... The 2nd kiss pass was very nice and appreciated. So, my 2 cents worth, go for it. The worst that can happen is she (or you) don't like it. The best...you may get more. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! 14. LOL You can't do much worse than my Warp 1 - and it's on video. (Where I dive, the wrap series helps you transition from student gear to sport gear.) It wasn't the landing that ended up being the bad part of the dive, it was deployment time. I waved off, reached for my BOC, and ended up on my back as I forgot to put my left hand on the top of my head. Here I was falling towards 3,000 ft thinking "This is sooo not good." And even though I was on my back, I still deployed my canopy instead of flipping myself over and getting stable again. My poor jumpmaster - Tom B. - thought I was a goner and didn't know what to do. When I got to the ground (and PLF'd), he came over, gave me a hug, and then yelled at me (very politely) not to scare him to death again. The good news - I haven't done that since. I've done other stupid things like misrouted a chest strap and found out in freefall (again...thank God for my jumpmaster - Raven). And, I've had a malfunction that I ended up cutting away and doing a reserve ride (wonderful instructors - Kermit, Rave, et. al. that helped me know what to do should things like this happen) with a PLF landing - nerves were too shot to try and stand it up. LOL Just remember to keep your wits about you, check your gear, make sure everything's routed correctly, ask for a gear check, and relax....have fun. You'll learn to stand up your landings just like I will in time. The best sky divers didn't learn it all in one jump, and I have to remember just like all new jumpers, it takes time, practice, and determination to do good in the sport. And...the best thing about taking up this sport...is the wonderful people that have more experience than me that are willing to teach me how to get better. **Sorry for the long post** Life is short! 15. Don't feel bad. I'm pretty good at PLF'ing as well. Out of my 45 jumps, I've stayed on my feet 4 times. LOL Still working on being able to tell when to flare.
  16. It's nice to see that you have perfected your PLF. LOL Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

I lurked around for awhile (and will continue to lurk more than post as my experience level is still low) but having the new forum made it easier to say Hello. And everyone has been really sweet in saying Hello back so I'm glad that I started participating in the forums. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! 18. Morning, Gerb! Thank you. And which category would you fall under? Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  19. Thank you, all! I look forward to getting to know you and learning from you all.
  20. Hi, Lolie! Come jump at Sky Knights one day. We'd love to have you. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  21. It's nice to see that others in the sport with so many more jumps than myself say a little prayer on the way to altitude and still get nervous. It helps to know that I'm not the only one that does that. I usually say a prayer for the safety of everyone on the plane, go over the dive, check my handles a ton of times, and look forward to the air. When it's really cold (and it gets cold in Wisconsin), I wonder why I'm not in front of a fireplace drinking a hot toddy. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! 22. Morning, all! My name is Cora, and I jump at Sky Knights in East Troy, Wisconsin. I have 45 jumps so far and am looking forward to many more years in the sport with tons of jumps.
