  1. You can either use the method described above or as you said and what i've done is put a small pencil or something trough it for about 1 day or so and it should be a lot easier.
  2. Did the same, went over there with about 110 jumps though. Did my packer B and packed tandems, student rigs and sport rigs. Hard work, but pretty good money. And it's just really fun living at a dz. Try out different dzs, i loved Nagambie in Victoria!
  3. Instead of using the middle button do the same thing with the lower button, the one with the arrow pointing downwards. That's where you access your logbook.
  4. Definately the G3 in my opinion, use the search function and you'll know why ;-) 100% happy with it
  5. Maybe this is something. You cut away the camera, not the helmet. Not sure if it works on your helmet too though. https://www.facebook.com/g3goprocutawaymount?fref=ts
  6. Thanks a lot for your input. That was exactly the thought i had with the corners. With a normal rig they would block the dbag from getting pulled out and cause even worse openings. But since they are quite a low cut on my rig when opened, it might be worth giving it a try. Although i agree that with a normal packjob (grommet to reserve tray) and a stable deployment you should have a good opening. It was just a thought i had.
  7. Hey guys, i've just recently seen a picture of a Rigger where he complained about a main packjob where the dbag was turned around, instead of turning it with the grommet up or to the top of the rig, it was turned downward. This gave me an idea: why not do this for wingsuiting? When we pull the dbag gets pulled back-upwards, why don't we already bring it in a position close to this one, by that i mean pack it with the grommet downward, instead of one where it first has to flip over and has more potential to cause line twists? Of course this requires your rig to have low corners at the bottom, otherwise the PC will just pull the dbag further inside those corners. What do you think about this technique? I've never tried it myself. Cheers for any idea!
  8. Remember: it's more or less a dead air jump. Calculate extra height for getting stable. Have fun :-)
  9. Looks good, i just put a carabiner in the middle with 2 loops of elastic material coming from the sides. Easy to remove for wingsuiting in about 1 second and secure for freeflying
  10. My rig is cut for me but since i don't like my legstraps too tight there is still the danger that the leg straps slide up your legs in some positions, like on exit. That's why i'm using a bungee. I see no reason why not to use one, they don't weigh anything, cost nothing and i also don't see any disadvantages except for other guys letting them flip against your..... ;-) also for wingsuiting i just put a carabiner in the middle to detach this system in a matter of a second.
  11. I bought a Piranha 2 beginning of this season and got around 50 jumps on it now. It fit me perfectly, just the way I ordered it. I really like the way it flies: it is really easy to handle, you can dive quite steep and still keep control as well as just go at slow speed. This wing got actually quite some power for it's size. The very cheap price in comparison to other manufacturers makes this the perfect first own wingsuit till you know what you really want. You can't go wrong with it. It's tons of fun! Definately can recommend it to anybody, a great suit to have in your collection and tons of fun waiting for you to have with it! Thx intrudair :-)
  12. There are many threads about it, just use the search function ;-)
  13. Had a good email conversation with mike the last few days. Just wanted to point out the great service of upt! Helped me a lot with my problem and invested quite some time in it, got it all fixed now :-)
  14. Ok, thx, that helps a lot. I'm still waiting for an answer, sent them an email some time ago. No response so far, calling might be expensive ;-) cheers
  15. Ok, i just send them an email with the dimensions of mine and asked what gets close to it. Thanks a lot!
  16. Ok, thanks a lot. But do you know exactly how they measure it?
  17. Hey, i got a quick question: for my new canopy i'd like to order a semi stowless bag. The problem is, that i don't really know what size to get. The new canopy is a Katana 120, the Rig is a Paratec Next NEN, originally made for a Safire 139. I'd like to get a dbag that is close to the size of the one i got with the rig for the Safire. But I just don't really understand how to measure the size. I measured the size of my dbag on the outside along the stiching and got totally different results from any bag on the sizing chart recommended for a Safire 139. http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/PDF/CHART_00037___Rig_Sizing_Chart.pdf Do they measure the inside of the rig itself? And if so, how? They just give you these measurements: V309 MICRON Width A 10" Width B 11'' Length 17'' Thickness 5.5'' I don't know where these come from. Any help would be really appreciated!
  18. Maybe you missunderstood me, that was actually just what i wanted to say. You just don't always jump RW suits. You should also be able to get a good track on breakoff without the booties, if you can only track with them I would call it a fail. Lean how to track, your life will depend on it, not just with booties but also without. Definately a good skill to master the track with them on too. Always learn as much as possible. Knowledge prevents accidents.
  19. Hey, they surely give you more forward drive. If you wanna keep doing tracking with groups I would stop using the booties. You have to learn how to reach the speed without any help of the booties and keep it, learn how to fly your body not just in one suit but in general, although I can see that it is very nice to keep up witht the group on your early tracking dives. As soon as you go steeper you will notice quickly that you should definately stop using them. It's a little bit like cheating, you get to your goal, but that way you'll never learn how to do it the real way ;-) main disciplines: freefly, tracking/angles, wingsuit. Blue Skies
  20. I got a Speed 135, never used it, but looks good in my rig ;-) it's a german parachute, what else is there to say :-D
  21. First 3 jumps on Prodigy, afterwards an I bird for 1 jumps. Followed by a Phantom 1 for about 20-25 jumps and now happily jumping my Intrudair Piranha 2. Wingsuiting isn't my main discipline, just something for those nice heavily clouded skies to play around when there is nobody to jump with ;-)
  22. I use this mount, really like it, although i think the roller mount is better because you can't accidently change the angle of the camera. Still, even with the square top mount you have to drill 3 holes which i did, no problem at all, still not the nicest solution.
