    Skydive Utah

Do what you have to do to get airborn, remember safty is number 1. I have my opinion of Skydive Utah, its your job to come up with your own.
  2. Hey I just heard that Air Venture LLC. in Utah is offering $10 Jumps to 13,000 Ft from a DC-3 if we get 40 jumpers per load. It sound good to me!!!
  3. I jumped here last week, the staff was wonderful. Some of the fun jumpers had a big head. But other than that I had a wonderful time. I plan to go back as soon as I can. The 15,000 Ft jump was pretty cool, it would've been nice to get to jump with someone else. But I went out during the week so I didn't have the option. Thanx For the Jumps. Derek Lewis D-24034
  4. I have heard rumors of a dropzone getting started in Mesquite Nevada. I don't know if this is true but I would like to know if it is. If anyone knows anything about it I would like to know. Thanx, Derek
  5. If the speed down didn't kill him, there is allot of forward speed that probably would. -Nums
  6. About how many jumps would it take on a viper to start wearing down the ZP fabric? In other words how many jumps till it will start loosing its performance? Thanx, Derek
  7. Does anyone know anything about Viper main canopy? Is it elliptical? Thanx,
  8. The DC-3 Is the shit. The thing is so big. And at 1,000 Ft per min. It rocks. -Derek
  9. Just to let anyone interested know, Cedar Valley Utah has just gotten a DC-3. $18 to 13,000 Ft. Come one come all everyone is welcome. -Derek
  10. Well I just was jumping a 120 vengance. And I am not as impressed. Exit weight at 195 wing load 1.62. It flew ok, turn weren't as nice as crossfire or cobalt. It was very ground hungry and the flare was there but i didn't like how it starts so low in the control range. I have it to my shoulders before it will even start to flare. It seems like it has a 2 stage flare on it. I prefer a single smooth flare. These are just my opinions, Thanx. -Nums
  11. I bought me a skytronic FX a few months ago. I like having everything done for me, it makes logging jumps easy. It was kinda a pain to figure out how to set it up because they forgot to add some of the instructions with it. I wish you could adjust the volume in it though. It is hard to hear when I put it in a protec, but in a Z1 or other nice helmet it is fine. But I enjoy it very much. And I feel it is much better of a deal than ProTrack, considering it does all the same things. -Nums
  12. Well I think as long as a parachute get's you into the air and to the ground safe, that is all that matters. I'd jump anything if that's what if took to get me airborne. -Nums
  13. Hey Mike, Just to let U know, I havn't jumped that canopie for quite a while. Currently I am jumping cobalt and stiletto 135's. And have been for past 200 jumps. And taking shit from U, someone who wont even admit what he's jumping..Haha!!!! Just had to mess with ya back!!! -Nums
  14. Yeah but the reserve has a silicone treatment on them. Which makes them like ZP for a few jumps. That is why a reserve won't have allot of saves before you will need to get a new one. -Nums
  15. Damn, well I guess I shouldn't be complaining. It could always be worse. But I don't plan on going to texas till later this fall. And Eloy this next winter.....Who knows I plan on going all over when our season is done here. -Nums
  16. I'd like to see the moron that would jump a stiletto design made out of f1-11. It might work if that person was wingloading less than 1 to 1. That is about all that f1-11 will take. And usually f1-11 will fly for around 1000 jumps. Then it needs to be treated. ZP flies for around 2000 to 3000 but once they are gone they are gone. And No they don't make f1-11 stiletto's. -Nums
  17. Ice is cool, you can surf for ever on it.. But I am a big wussy I cant take the cold to well either. But it is so much better to fly canopie in. Yeah tomarrow is looking great as to business. I have like 9 videos......Wahoo!!!!! -Nums
  18. Hey fallin, Personally from experience f1-11 is stone age fabric. Jump one and then try a ZP. The Difference is like night and day. With the F1-11 fabric, the air is let thru. Which will let the canopie collapse allot easier. So when you flare the canopie kinda colapses which just slows your forward speed more into downward speed. As to ZP it will stay more inflated, and provide flare power till there is very little air being pushed into the front of the canopie. After my first ZP jump I never wanted to go back to f1-11. The landings are softer there is a better turn rate, and it is allot more fun to fly. This is my opinion, others may disagree. -Nums
  19. I am so jealous!!!!! But Oh well I guess as long as I am jumping it dosn't matter. But hey what is the temp there in mid winter?? -Nums
  20. Oooohhhh, attaching a $5 bill to my rig is a good idea. But I dunno, I don't care to jump other peoples pack jobs when I do video. They need to design some kind of A/C packet or something like that. That would be nice. Yeah I do feel really bad for people in AZ. But its all worth it when you get to altitude. What's wrong with seattle?? Rain?? Even knowing it's only going to be around 102 F. I still miss spring.
  21. Hey, The ground in the info U have is just connected to a screw anywhere on the frame of the case. All that a ground is is to allow a circuit to flow.... There is always a + and a - in electrical. If not nothing will happen. I don't know of any better way to answer the question from the info U gave. Sorry, -Nums
  22. Is anyone else thinking its going to be to hot this weekend?? Well maybe I'm just a baby, but it is going to be damn hot packing this weekend. Not to mention having on my cordura camera suit.......But its all for the sport, Wahoo!!! Sorry just had to bitch!!! -Nums

    HI

Hey Thumper, Well that is one thing in skydiving, almost every time you do something for the first time you will be worried. Along with owing a case. But hey its just part of the sport. Now something that will really get ya is after you have over 100 jumps by yourself and someone who is training to be a Tandom Master askes you to jump with them. I started static line to. You wont want to. That happend to me and I got a 4 Pt 4 way out of it. And now I look back and see how much fun I had. I don't know if I ever want to do it again but it was still worth trying. I dunno how I got into that from your problem, but hey don't worry about it. You will do just fine. Good luck. -Nums SCR-14335 ((((Don't you just hate when you don't know what number you want to put???)))
