  1. I do not think you should record at 60fps if then you are going to edit the video and render it at 30 fps. Depending of the software you are using you could have ending with some annoying ghost effects
  2. We will be arriving on 28th March and still don´t have asked for it We are not in a hurry, are we?
  3. Thank you. Any feedback from a flyer that has visited Russian tunnel?
  4. I have searched several times for some reviews of the Russian wind tunnel in San Petersburg but haven´t find much information Had anyone here been in the tunnel and would be able to give me some feedback about it? I already know the prices but would like to know something about the facilities, acommodation nearby, coaches experience, vibe Do they speak fluent English to teach you in a proper way?
  5. I´ve been snowboarding regularly for the past 8 years and started using hip pad protector shorts under my pants when I started with freestyle maneuvers (jibbing/jumping) I found them quite confortable and breathable. Once you have worn them several times you forgot about them. You can choose between models with plastic rigid parts protecting your tailbone or not http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v13/1164289301_1/-font-b-Padded-b-font-Impact-Shorts-Hip-Butt-Protective-Gear-font-b-Crash-b.jpg http://www.allsportprotection.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/chris.jpg http://www.stadtkind.biz/images/2013/04/Dainese.png
  6. Welcome to this absolutely addictive sport (or may I say "way of life?) Hope to see you soon jumping from a plane Bienvenido al foro. No hay muchos españoles, pero aún así me alegro de ver a un compatriota más. Saltarás en EmpuriaBrava?

    Sky Time Castellón

Very very close to the beach (less than 100 feet) Amazing views, friendly people, professional and helpful instructors. Nice landing zone. You can even make your payment at the end of the day. Prices have raised a little bit since the last review 27 Euros - individual ticket at 13000 ft
  8. I have 100 jumps on my Sabre2 loaded at 1.25-1.3 and have had really slow and soft openings most of the times (sometimes even too slow, I remember pulling at 3000 ft and after the jump checking my altimeter to see the deploy was at 1800 ft) I noticed it´s a very forgiving canopy in terms of packing but won´t stay on heading most of the openings I tried a Pilot 170 several times and on heading openings were common. It opens a little faster than my Sabre2 although it still feels like soft opening
  9. If I were you, I would hesitate again about buying a rig in the very near future. I weigh 185 or so and 6ft tall. I began my AFF course jumping a 260, and progressively downsized to 240. I got my A license with 26 or 27 jumps and tried 220 and 200 student canopies. I was renting smaller canopies as I was getting jumps under my belt. (tried 210 Sabre2, 190 Sabre2 and Spectre 190) until 80 or 90th jump where I began to think about getting my own rig. I talked with instructors and with experienced skydivers and the told me to wait until I could safely jump a 170 canopy, so that would put my WL not far from 1.1 If you buy a rig which can fits a 260 canopy, and you start to jump regularly I guess you should quickly become in the need for smaller canopies which would not fit this container. Then, you would have to sell both the rig and the canopy
  10. I usually skydive at Lillo (Toledo, Spain) and as far as I am concerned the instructors are USPA instructors (Victor, Antulio, ...) Ocaña (35 km from Lillo) has British instructors for sure (Mike Evans and Stephen Hogan), but do not know if they are also USPA instructors.

    Windoor-Realfly

A medium size wind tunnel with a clear airflow. The restaurant is just in fact surrounding the tunnel so you can be having lunch while watching other flyers performances. Good vibes with the coaches and all the staff (super friendly and helpful)
  12. I think this may help http://www.skydiver.com.au/userfiles/files/Atmonauti%20Explained%20by%20Marco%20&%20Gi.pdf And if you are able to come to Spain you can find dropzones that usually organize Atmo weekends at several leves (from very begginers to advanced flyers) http://www.skydivelillo.com/esp/events
  13. Very nice picture. It gives you a lot of confidence seeing your instructor so close to you.
  14. I finally did it. I drilled it quite easily and placed the baseplate. The screws fit was more difficult to me although I got it done. I will use it this weekend and hope it will work fine Thank you for the advice and replies P.D.- Forgive my bad written English (do not think my spoken is better)
  15. I have currebtly 120 jumps and now I am allowed at my local DZ to use a camera on the top of my g3 cookie helmet. I have doubts about installing the cookie g3 roller mount (which would mean drilling my almost brand new helmet) or just using the sticker provided with the GoPro camera Have any of you tried the cookie roller mount? And if you have would you strongly recomend this instead of the sticker or is doesn´t worth the worry?
  16. If I could choose it would be Seville no doubt! They fly up to 15,000ft, the highest altitude in Europe and also have cheap prices for fun jumpers
  17. Skydive Spain (Ocaña, Madrid) has a lot of English spoken instructors, 2 Pilatus Porter, nice facilities, and a friendly atmosphere. If you are staying in Madrid it is the nearest DZ to the city and well connected by highway A4 Also you can easily find English spoken students doing their AFF courses.
  18. I have completed my AFF course early this January and have already 65 jumps.
  19. Hi guys, hope you can give me some advice about a topic which really got me lost. I was thinking about buying a full face skydiving helmet. I asked an online shop about the Square Phamtom X helmet which I had very good reviews as far as I knew. They repplied that although they still have it on their webpage, they were not selling this helmet anymore because of its problems with the visor system openings Have you heard or read about these problems? Is it really a good option to spend my money on this item? Or is it better if I change for the G3 Cookie helmet? Have you further information about other options?
  20. Thank you. I suppose I should really make a coach to take advantage of the time, souldn´t I? By the way I am going with my brother who never has experienced freefalling. Is it worth for him, too?
  21. I am a novice skydiver (~60 jumps) and was thinking about taking some time at a wind tunnel to improve my basic skills in belly flying and also try some freeflying basics. The question is that I would be travelling around the North east coast and also Canada border. Is there any noticeable difference between the New Hampshire tunnel and the one located close to the Niagara Falls resort? Thank you in advance and forgive my grammar or spelling (not quite high English level)
  22. I am not an experienced skydiver at all (60 jumps) but I live in Spain and have been in several DZs. Skydive Lillo (120 km far away from Madrid) is a little DZ but has a near family ambience that really makes you feel confortable and relaxed. They used to have a Pilatus for daily work and sometimes Caravan at the weekends. Skydive Madrid is the closest DZ to Madrid (45 minutes on the highway) and has 2 Pilatus. Also a nice bar an good packing ad chill out zone. Skytime in Castellón is also a little dropzone but is very close to the seashore and has awesome views. Their packing zone is quite small but has great instructors and reasonable prices
  23. I am a new 35 year old addict to this fabulous sport. Have recently finished my AFF and A license. I am travelling to Ontario and New York this summer and want someone to give me advice about DZ in this area. I am also looking to buy my first canopy (80 kg and 1.83 m) What would you recommend me to buy?
