  1. Are you sure the pain wasn't just from the rapid air pressure change? If that is the case, most divers... sky AND SCUBA, will tell you that it will pass after a while. It is a case of just becoming acclimated to it. Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?

  3. Personally I swing both ways. That isn't a choice, by the way. The choice for me exists not in which gender I am attracted to, but to which individuals I am attracted to. This whole debate about choice is really rather silly. Look at the logic of it. Let us start with the assumption that straights are straight not by choice, but by nature. Which is really the assumption most straights I know make. If straight is not a choice, then gay is not a choice. Because if you choose to be gay, you have chosen to not be straight. Which renders the argument that straight is not a choice, but being gay IS a choice, invalid. It is one or the other. Either being straight or gay is a choice, or being straight or gay is not a choice. For those who are straight, but feel they could be gay if they chose to be, put it to the test: Go out, pick up a hot guy (Yes... YOU have to choose which guy is hot, and which guy is not hot... that is part of the whole being gay process), then have sex. Not prison style, 'I'm putting up with this' sex, but jungle-sweaty, used condoms everywhere, bite-and-nail marks sex.. the kind where you are really having fun. Then stop figuring out which dudes are hot, and go back to just liking women. Remember.. this will involve you going down on the guy, 'crossing swords', possibly even some back-door action. Some of you straight fellows may think this actually sounds interesting. If you do... take it from me, a tried and tested bi-guy, you are bi (assuming you still like women). And if you are really turned off by it, or even if you say 'naw... that just doesn't do anything for me', then you are straight. There was no choice. 6. My tandem instructor was more than a foot shorter than my 6'3" height. It made me feel a little like Luke Skywalker carrying Yoda around in Empire Strikes Back. Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?

  8. I have a friend who lets rip with assassin farts. He will puff one out, and the people nearest to him will smell nothing. But a person on the other side of the room will keel over, choking from the stench. His farts literally creep around the room and pounce on unsuspecting people. 10. The best deal I've found for travel insurance that covers jumping vacations in the US is to join CAA and buy it from them as you need it. Thanks! Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?
  11. Well, I suppose while I am in Canada, I am safe. But I do plan on making trips to the US... I might want to start looking into travelers health insurance that covers skydiving. Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?

  14. And the zap from an electric fence is not that bad. I have been zapped a number of times growing up on the farm. (Then again, that may explain a thing or two.) I had a friend, growing up, that lived on a dairy farm. We used to dare each other to hold on to the electrified fence too. It isn't pleasant, but it is hardly lethal. My dirty bastard evil cousins up in Oregon (you know who you are!) tried to get us to pee on it. Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?

  17. Odds are- it's older than the planet. Depending on the make up you could be looking at between 200.00 ~ 1000.00 a pound. But- IF those mooshed together things are crystals...and in a fairly heavy concentration ~ ballpark of 2000.00 a pound! If it's a chunk of Mars on the other hard...that's at least a cool Million per pound! Well, damn! Taking it to a mineral identification clinic at the museum here next month. We shall see what there is to be seen! Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?

  19. Sure thing! Soon as I get home and can load them :) for some reason my work Mac doesn't want to acknowledge the existence of my android phone... Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?
  20. ... I just found a meteorite. About a foot across, and close to 20 pounds. It is a chondrite, with all sorts of smaller fragments (chondrules) mooshed together. There is also a lot of iron in it, judging by the weight and the iron oxide. I have no way of guessing its age, but it is not inconceivable that parts of it, at least, are pre-solar dust. Many of these space rocks/debris are as old or even older than Earth! Kinda humbling. Really amazing find. Definitely a keeper. Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?
  21. I broke my toe twice, when I was a kid. Each time, I was doing the exact same thing... trying to trip my cousin. Damn instant karma!! Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?

  23. I watched the videos. Good job! You looked apprehensive the first time, but the rest of the time you looked pretty confident. And nice rolls! Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?
  24. The DZ I am taking my AFF only allows two aff jumps in a day (Per student, of course), and no jumps the same day as the ground school. They want to make sure their students don't deal with mental fatigue. I wont argue... I can't afford to do it all in one go, so a slow schedule works for me. 25. The issue is this is the kind of food people ONLY eat. And they accompany it with very little exercise. And while in moderation it may not kill you, why not simply avoid it, when the healthy alternatives are just as accessible? Why drive myself crazy trying to be normal, when I am already at crazy?
