There was a nice full-page tribute to Nick on the inside-back cover of the May issue of Parachutist magazine. See the first attached image. I was curious about the compass coordinates on the page, so I typed those into google maps, and it shows the location to be the southern-most tip of South Africa. See the second attached image. What is the significance of that location to Nick?

While we're waiting for that response, here's another question for you: Would it be better if these three citizens were unarmed & "law-abiding", and were murdered by the illegally armed thugs, because their victims had no means to protect themselves? It is a deeper issue than that. He is having trouble reconciling that his views and his staements and beliefs are in conflict with each other, and has been cornered. The issue is that he is unwilling to expose himself as a hypocrite. THAT is why he won't answer the questions. Exactly! Thanks for posting that insight into the workings of his mind. And his demands to rephrase the question to his liking are just a ploy to harass and frustate the pro-gun folks. I'm sure that no matter how the question is phrased, it will never be good enough, and kallend will just continue to make excuses to not answer a simple question. You would think that a college professor would have a good ability to explain things to people, but somehow that apparently is not true in this case. Despite explaining complex engineering details to students all year long, somehow this simple question is just too difficult for him to handle!

Most experienced jumpers will pull between 3k and 2k, therefore pulling at 4k can be a problem if you're in front of them. Exit order should be determined, among other things, by pull height. Lowest pullers out first, and stacking canopy openings to the highest ones out last, which is usually the tandems. That way no one is freefalling past already-open canopies. All this should be figured out on the ground or during the climb to altitude, by talking with other jumpers and finding out what they're doing, then rearranging yourselves into the proper order for safety. As a new guy, all you need to do is walk up to someone who looks like they know what they're doing, and say; "I'm new here, and I'm pulling at 4-grand - where would you like me in the line-up?" Don't be shy - they'll respect you for being forthright and asking.

But we know where that authority comes from: the War Powers Act gives the President the power to use the military temporarily without a declaration of war, but funding of wars is still the purview of Congress. So we as citizens DO have representation for that. You may not like the decisions of Congress, but they ARE our representatives. And as you like to say so much; "you elected them, so quit complaining." What I'm asking is, what gives Barry the power to unilaterally send aid money to foreign nations? There may well be some legal basis for this, but I'd like to know what it is.

Rather than retro-rig everything to fit the tubular steering line... It seems like it would be easier just to replace the tubular steering line with normal dacron lines, and then everything would fit and work the way it's "supposed" to.

I can't read something that you didn't write. "Thats" should have an apostrophe. It's "where", not "were". And an ellipsis has three dots, not two...

I have a friend who is a former locksmith. He picked a lock in my house once, when I had lost my keys on a desert hike. He couldn't get the deadbolt lock open with a manual pick. So he pulled out the auto pick gun, and after just a couple squeezes of the handle, voila! It was open. I became convinced that those gizmos are a great tool.

It's not "held" as in past-tense, it's "holds", because he's still an active jumper. And his first name is spelled "Lew", not "Lou".

I think I won't watch a youtube video that you can't even take the time to introduce and tell me what it's about.
