Any gear suggestions for high speed video. (1000 fps)

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about playing around with some skydiving and motocross video.
I have seen a couple videos taken with the Canon 7D at 720p and 60fps then edited with Premiere with the Twixtor plugin.

I was curious if anyone had other suggestions for capturing this footage and if anyone has slow-mo'd thier videos in this manner.

I have no experience on this, but I have thought about trying it. I would assume there might be some problems with 60fps ->twixtor -> 1000fps footage since fast movements like clothes or hair flapping in the wind cannot be interpolated to look natural. Therefore I would assume shooting with a real High speed camera would be the way to go.

IDT n4 is sweet too.
There are several cams out there that can do some serious framerates now. Rentals are available for not a lot of relative $$
