Famous skydivers ... sort of

Richard Branson's jump was done in the mid 1980's
on his first jump he went unstable and the instructors had to catch up with him. On his second jump it went much better UNTIL deployment as Sharky Sheridan went to deploy Richard's parachute, Richard pulled the cutaway handle so his main was cutaway before it opened, luckily he had a lanyard to open his reserve.:o

Don Swayze, Patricks brother, used to jump at Perris with us a lot. He was also a BASE jumper. I haven't seen him in a while. A great guy.

The late Harry O' and Jim Wallace took Cameron Diaz, Tom Green and Drew Barrymore on tandem jumps.

Angie Everhart made the DZ a much prettier place a while back also. She had a couple of hundred leaps I think when she quit.

Michael Schumacher of F1 fame has jumped at Eloy and Tiger Woods has been spotted in a jump plane also.

I believe he's also missing a foot because of a BASE accident too isn't he? I remember him hosting the '92 freestyle 'nationals' in Eloy on ESPN. Cheesy stuff like commentary from the airplane, then dropping the mic and chasing out one of the teams. It was gay, but I'm sure whuffos liked it.

I was at Perris on Friday, 12/29/06 and Don showed up. Evelyn and I talked with him for a couple minutes. Nice guy.

I think it was the first time he had shown up in a few months. He was there with some friends to do tandems and a film crew. I don't know the purpose.
